Those Amati drums really look cool love the finish and they sound pretty good..I think they matched up against the Ludwig kit quite well I wouldn't feel shortchanged at all playing a good Amati kit.
Thanks, the old Amati Drums were made of quite good quality beech wood...

I think to make it fair you should have first fit the same heads all over both kits and make sure the tunings are as close as possible, and then we could see.. even so, I honestly though the Amati sounded better here, the rack tom especially, the one on the Ludwig just sounded dead and flat somehow. best of luck
I agree. The goal was to compare these drum sets. You can't compare the Ludwig brand against Amati. It's all about the sound. Thanks for the feedback.

Díky, určitě by bylo fajn vycházet ze stejných podmínek, ale to už je produkčně složitější :-), navíc u Ludwigů to ladění směrem nahoru už moc nešlo a u starých Amátek by zřejmě byl trochu problém s rozměrem blan...
Hi! What drumheads on Amati toms? Basic ones?
Original 70's Amati drumheads were used. Body diameters were rounded to cm. Thus, in some drum drumhead does not fit with the dimensions in inches (e.g. Remote). Mainly 12 "and 14".

I've bought yesterday 16" and 18" toms, wonder how they'll sound with Evans.
Drumhead doesn't fit - you mean body of drum smaller than drumhead?
@@prakshdrums the body of the drum is usually bigger ...
