    I just wanna say I love your videos because they give off so much of that early wild-west internet vibe. Very homebrew and stylistic. Can tell you either grew up on newgrounds or flipnote

    You could get it to work if the character was a Collection and all other major parts were GP layers. That all depends how the character is built. More work, yes, but it would allow you to put rim lighting on the foreground arm.

    Awesome video, thank u! I could follow along until the modifiers and effects, I could click and adjust sliders but my Scene view didnt reflect any changes. Any help in this department please?

      For some reason, some of the effects and modifiers for grease pencil only show in the rendered view!

      @@artymusoke1352 Yeah I'd love to, I need the .blend file though, you uploaded a .blend1 file which is the backup blender file I believe.

    Can you make this a grain texture or something though? Sure there's a way with nodes but I haven't figured it out yet

    can u probably give a breakdown how its masked

    • @headprismanimation4751
      @headprismanimation4751  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats the nice thing about the Rim effect, it automatically makes the mask for the rim light based off of the color layer I believe.

    • @krivespohe
      @krivespohe 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@headprismanimation4751 if you set mask color to white it will also affect darker areas like hair color etc

    can rim be add to Imported images? like an image plane? if so, how can you add the rim effect to the image its self, if its a PNG without the rim being on the borders of the PNG but actually on the drawing its self?

    • @headprismanimation4751
      @headprismanimation4751  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! I believe that the Blender Devs have added in a new feature where you can convert PNGs and PNG sequences into grease pencil objects. From there, you could add modifiers.

    • @LaidBackFellow
      @LaidBackFellow 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@headprismanimation4751 do you know how to convert the image plane to a stroke object or in other words grease pencil? Thanks

    This is exactly what I was looking for the last few hours. But just by any chance can you also apply on PNG image sequence that has a alpha channel on it too or is there a different process to it or do you have to convert the image into SVG maybe?
