very nice. thanks so much about promoting keeping your distance. It is very important these days. all season long but in winter any animal that needs to waste there energy can mean the difference between life and death. thank you and nice work
Owls are absolutely fantastic and I totally get why your friend has all these images. They are absolutely fantastic! Specially the 4 of the them together makes a special story. I hope one day you will catch one closer in snow so you can that this extreme minimalistic shot of it. Grt guido
Always enjoy your photos. I been following you since my wife and I were in Newfoundland photographing Puffins in June of 2024. You are a wizard with your OM-1. I shoot the OM-1 also with the 300mm but I have not tried the MC-20 with it. Were you able to get your photos handheld with the MC-20? Your 150-400 does a wonderful job as well. It is obvious you love your photography, thanks for sharing .
Thanks Gary: Yes I have had great success with the 300mm & MC20. I usually shoot at F8.0 (WO) and have gotten amazing results at slower speeds. Sometimes I will rest the lens on the window in my car with a pad under it for support. The stabilization is excellent best thing is try a few practice shots to see how far you can push it. I think you will be amazed.
Hi Mac: Happy New Year to you too! I try to keep the ISO as low as possible, use denoise in Lightroom and then use OnOne Resize or Gigapixl if necessary. I find the OM1 has a great sensor. I have used Olympus since the film OM1, all the E-Series cameras with great results. Thanks. You might enjoy this one... th-cam.com/video/wamzFblyYfs/w-d-xo.html

Happy new year to you and your family. What do you do to the files to blow up 20 x 30 on a smaller sensor?
