I've used clear polish on bottom of aerosol cans yrs ago works fine & I used polish in different colors to fix scrapes on patent leather shoes & bags ,black of coarse worked the best. On rings not so great as it can peel off. For barrettes & flower pots u can find just as pretty in dollar stores without the mess

I have kept a bottle of clear nail polish in my bathroom for years. Other than the old patch a stocking if the eyeshadow pad comes off the plastic stick, glue it back on. It's great for small things like that and if you shop the dollar store you have a small bottle of glue that doesn't dry in the tube and hard to remove for a dollar.
