So incredibly helpful. I did craft fairs many years ago and I am seeing all the things I did wrong that I’m going to do right this time. And I’ll be on a tight budget too so this was so helpful!!!
just found your channel and yes!!! your ideas are great ... thanks!!!! and yes i would like to see how you did the small pendant busts ...those are awesome!
This is a great video, very detailed and easy to follow. Brilliant tips and information for anyone selling anything at craft fairs, home selling parties etc. Would love to see how you make the little necklace displays. Hope your craft fairs are busy, good luck. Xx
I wish I would of watched this weeks ago before my first little event! Love your ideas and your advice and would love to see the little neclaces display. I'm 19 and I love being crafty!
Ashley Koenig thank you...I actually had to change my design :( this did not work out for me because I was outside and the wind was just against all i had on my table lol. so when i update my display i'll show another video and see if you would like for me to make another tutorial
Great video! I think I'll make my next video on this same thing....one thing I learned is to buy a white tent. Many fairs require a white one. Mine is blue like yours and I think out of 200+ vendors it was the only white one haha white ones also make the whole thing brighter so people can see better and are more likely to come in. Thanks again! I'm totally going to make stands like yours from my old foam core and will put my painted rocks inside for weights when needed
This is a lovely display, thanks for sharing. I like the little shelving units you made, are there any plans for these, I would like to make a couple if possible, Here is an idea for weighting down the shelves, if there is a little hole at the back of the base, you could slip a piece of heavy wooden post in there, that will weight it down somewhat, or a hammer or a big spanner. or a bottle of water.
this is such a great, information-packed video! All really great advice and you've come up with some brilliant solutions for effective sales and a beautiful booth. TFS!
This was incredibly helpful!! I've been struggling to display my crafts properly and I end spending so long just getting things out on to the table and it ruins sale time. Thank you so much! I hope to see vids of those box displays you made and how you weighed them down in the end.
Thank you for this video. I have shied away from craft fairs because I am to nervous and I do not want to look like I don't know what I am doing. All tips are appreciated thanks again
great video love the little individual foamboard stands and i think it is a good idea to put prices i personally don't look at stalls without prices. i don't like asking for prices. one thought that might be helpful to others. you might be able to use vinyl cut letters for your banners to save a lot of time. i don't know how much they are as they would be different prices but i am thinking you could probably get a sign company or a vinyl company of ebay to cut some for you for a few pounds. or maybe even cut your own it would still be some work but they have an adhesive back so you wouldn't have the problem with wrinkling. if anyone is going to do a lot of fayres i would suggest also getting/making a fabric or banner materiel, banner so it will last through rain etc and remember to still add weights into the bottoms. if you cannot afford the banner material you may be able to get a used one from a company that you could cut up and just turn over to use the back.
Yes thank you! This video had information and suggestions for someone who doesn't have the money or the supplies to do those types of things. I started with the bare minimum for my displays. And I wanted to show people that they can make something from things that are as simple and cheap as a foam board. Know what I mean? The cheapest banner here is $25 and takes at least to weeks to produce. The vinyl is a great idea! Trust me I thought of those too :) But people sell them for about $2 each letter for the size I would have needed them for a banner. So it would have cost me at least $28 just to get my name. I made this video trying to keep in mind to use what I already have or spend the lowest amount of money.
wow thats expensive when i worked in a sign company in england a few years back we made banners i think it was £12 for a metre and we could make them in less then a day. also we would have probably only charged about £2/3 for the whole word in vinyl, i don't know the prices know but when i worked their vinyl was only used in the business not in home use so probably would be cheaper now i would think. wow i always thought things were cheaper in america. i knew you was trying to offer the cheap alternative it was just an idea if people had some money and wanted something a bit more permanent or for you if you wanted to find something that wouldn't wrinkle. sorry if it sounded rude it was not supposed to i did really like the video and your ideas, i have seen so many videos and don't often see ones with new ideas in but love the small necklace stands.
Nice video and nice stuff...just wanted to let you know, I've been doing craft fairs since 2008 by myself. Most times your neighbor is happy to watch your booth, but if they are unavailable I've left to use the restroom and in 7 years have never had even one small thing missing.
Thanks for all the great ideas. I am planning my first big craft show and this information helped a lot. May I ask where you purchase the cards to place the necklaces on like the ones that come in a jewelry box? TFS Subscribed!!
I would love to know if there are plans you followed for making the display with the little shelves or was that just something you designed? I would really love to make one for a show I am doing in July. Thanks and your tips are awesome!
Hey, Kate here, This is a really informative video. I was just wondering where you get the chains for your pendants. Thank you so much for this amazing video! :)
Thank you. I got the chains from a website a long time ago. I got them wholesale, and I'm unsure what the website is now because they have changed. I'm sorry!
Can you show how you made those pendant mini stands? how do they stand? I loved this video. My only suggestion is that maybe you charged to little for your pendants. Did you make money after all your donations, cost, etc? I hope you did! :)
This is genius! Omg thank you so much for doing this. Ive been planning to join a craft fair but scared to and I dont have funds for the dislay stuff either. Your ideas on how to do your displays are great! How many fom boards did you end up using well im sure your going to mention that on the diy video, just asking just in case lol. Also how much money did you gain?
Jayjay Llasos Campos I made the tutorial on the display boards...i used about 2 boards...maybe 2.5 I unfortunately didn't make too much...i made a little over my booth fee. however, when i did try these events...there were other HUGE events going on in my small town. Which may have been the biggest reason why there weren't many people who showed up. So when you do decide to go, see what else is going on. Also...the higher the booth fee...the more they want serious crafters/business...and the more the event is known/advertised/planned.
Thanks for the advice. Ive seen the video and was wondering if you are going to make the stand for your mini necklace stands but its kinda easy to make. I went to target today though and found an empty cardboard stand and i asked for it, so i dont have to make one. Lol. Im going to sell at flea market on Wednesday. Maybe later for fairs
LOL...lucky! haha...and HOW Exciting!!! :) Good luck and I hope you have fun! Let me know how that goes...do you post vids on your channel about your stuff?
