This is one of those rich tunes that feel like magic being cast… at once I want to learn it, play it, be moved by it, and move others with it. Thanks for sharing!
@@firarda7270 is that Vallelys brothers version of this tune ? Played in G minor on a D whistle? I may be missing something... Normally it is played in A dorian mode on a D whistle. And Vallelys brothers play it in G minor but not on a D whistle. So you have a different fingering there not how most people play it. I just started to learn this tune and I don't know which version to play thats why I am trying to analise what I see but I can be completely wrong. Gonna come home now grab my whistle and see if all that I just said makes any sense :) Anyway thanks for an awesome video of this lovely tune!
@@КирилИванов-у7м Yes! Learned from the Vallely brothers. I learned it originally on my low F that match this fingering and just played it like that on my D whistles, obviously changing key. Today after reading your comment I started re-learning it with the A-dorian fingering and it worked great on my C tin-whistle. I think Cillian is playing a low F on the first part but when he changes to pipes I believe he play a C chanter meaning he would change the fingering pattern too. Impressive and sounds great either way. Thank you for listening. And for reminding me to brush up on this great tune!

That had me dancing round my kitchen table. Beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you very much😊
Nice job! It never occurred to me to alternate between small and low D whistles in same key. Thanks!
I could listen to this all night.

Muito bom mesmo 😊
What make is that Bouzouki?... Lovely looking and lovely sounding instrument.
Well done lads sounded great❤❤
Thanks. The bouzouki is a Thomann Concert bouzouki. Not very expensive or fancy but it plays well and has developed into a really nice instrument.
@juharossi1617 did you change the octave strings to be unison? It sounds great
Out comes the silver flute! Very nice version, i like it slowed. Currently playing in Gm on the keyboard. What do you play in?
This would be in Eminor I think 😊
