I think the JD2017 version was deleted from the final game because you wouldn't be able to score enough moves to get 5 stars. Because there aren't a lot of moves counted in the scrapped version, you likely wouldn't be able to get more than 2 stars which was pretty much nothing.
On all songs, the scoring depends on how many moves are scorable, for a song like Havana Alt, there aren't many scorable moves, but on some songs, there are many scorable moves, but it lets you get megastar any way.

Man, I wish beta was final and final was beta. Or they should’ve made the beta as alternate, ‘8-Bit Version’
