  • Here’s a look at our vegan family of 4’s monthly bulk haul at Woolworths and Coles supermarkets.
Another month down in 2024, and here we are again for a massive vegan monthly haul at Woolworths and Coles supermarkets. I generally try to budget about $350 for these bulk hauls, as well as weekly top up shops of just over $100 p.w.
A lot of the items featured will last us several weeks, if not longer!
From vegan items to accidentally vegan food finds, I hope that this vegan grocery haul assists you in your next shop in Australia.

I appreciate seeing so many cruelty-free options at the supermarket, it warms my vegan heart. Come check me out if you seek more plant-based inspiration!

There's so many options these days which is amazing!! 20 years ago when I went vegan you're options were tofu and nut meat 😅 which looks like dog food 🤣 there was literally nothing else in terms of food substitutes like cheese - burgers ect ect

The OG vegans definitely did the hard yards to ensure us new vegans have so many options 🙌😅

@Mammutidae 😁 yay...... I mean nutmeat tastes good but its definitely a looks texture thing for me but some of the new plant based meats are too meaty for me - logically I know it's not an animal product but I just still can't do it 🤷‍♂️

In light of the media attention recently regarding the main supermarkets and pricing. May I ask if you are receiving reward from your promotions for them?
Secondly, could you please perhaps look at other retailers for vegan friendly products?
    I enjoy watching your stuff.

I'm glad to hear you enjoy the content :)
Absolutely full transparency, I'm not receiving any incentives from these supermarkets at all. And to be honest, the supermarket competition available to Australians isn't like that of overseas. Woolies and Coles have an abundance of vegan items more than others, and they are still both cheaper than IGA. Aldi, unfortunately, has a minimal range of vegan items these days. And finally, for some bulk essentials, I do opt for Costco.
Also, personally, I think the media attention about price gouging is a little farfetched. Inflation is happening, the government has added more taxes to businesses to pay back 'covid debt' (in VIC anyway) and a lot of industries are raising their prices.
I'm not defending the supermarkets, but I'm not sure of what other supermarket sells vegan cheese, treat items etc. at the prices Woolies and Coles do?

Hey, how much would you have spent on those same items if you had purchased them before 2020? Trying to figure out the inflation.

There's older grocery haul videos on this channel to make a better comparison, but all products have gone up anywhere from 0.20c to $4+... I'd say, four years ago , all this could've been maybe $30-50 cheaper? It all adds up, especially if you don't have extra disposable income.

You’ve got to try the pad Thai vegan microwave meal it’s so amazing.

I wonder if this dude makes zoodles or zucchni slice. I love vegetables. My mum made these amazing zucchni enchiladas. I’m going to try to get a job at lord of the fries so I can get free food because it’s so good. Probably not great for my arteries but meh. I wish they’d bring back the Slovaki or get a kebab cause I used to live on those when I was 16. So satisfying.

There’s not many vegan low calorie yoghurts. When I was 15 I loved eating lemon yoghurt with muesli. Then I got obsessed with all bran and yoghurt and fruit and I shoved a few chocolate raisins from aldi on it probably slowed down my weight loss but kept me full. Nothing beats a pasta bake.. cheap filling and amazing but you need to get huge pasta sauce and there’s only one vegan sauce and I cbf carrying glass bottles around and I hate cooking.. I got these microwaveable rice that cooks in 90 seconds and it wasn’t bad. You’ve got to try those sweet chilli chicken things from Birds Eye they are amazing. Perfect for tacos.

I wonder if their all nutrient malnourished.. I need to get a blood test to check iron, and vitamin d, calcium. I only drink black coffee and I have skim powder but I cbf measuring it so I don’t bother unless I’m making a mousse or cooking but again it’s such a chore to cook, all the measuring and converting the replacement egg powder.

It’s hard to go to Asian restaurants cause they use oyster sauce and egg. I got some amazing noodles the other day but $14 for a bit of vegetables and noodles? I got some noodles in China town for $12 but yah it’s just noodles and a tiny bit of bok choy and the portion is tiny and I’m always hungry.. the only decent value for eating is getting subway foot long veggie delight cause it’s only $10.95 and it’s huge yet I can easily eat two foot longs and still be hungry.

When I was in prison I had the most amazing lasagna the cheese was thick as and it was one of the best lasagnas I’ve ever had. Prison food is a solid yes.. we had tofu and huge potatoes with cheese. I don’t think they should even let prisoners have meat cause you can survive without it and it’s a waste of money. I was pretty lucky in prison we got extra food if we worked and got to use an air fryer and have hot chips. Apart from being locked in our cell at 7pm and being deprived of food it’s not that bad cause we got tuck shop once a week.

Red grapes are superior to green. Green is sour! And only pink lady apples cause they don’t tend to go all yellow once you cut into them and I can only eat apples if their cut up. I hate bananas. I need bananas but there’s so many calories in it and I just feel sluggish when I eat them cause their a bit heavy. Prefer apples or a mandarin. Or mushrooms.

You need to buy green grapes when they are in season….which is now. Out of season they get imported from the USA and they are picked too early and are sour which is probably the ones you bought. Right now the grapes are great.

    • @Penisrules
      @Penisrules 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@robsengahay5614 yah I haven’t had green grapes in agers. I just prefer the red ones. Same as red apples.. pink lady only. I’m really fussy with food.

Is it weird that I’ve never eaten a crossoint ever? I’m raiding this dudes house.. he’s got watermelon. I haven’t had watermelon in years. Looking good! I tried the vegan Ben and jerry ice cream.. one of them was terrible and the other was ok. But I’m not vegan.. so I got Cadbury ice cream and it was amazing.. Mars bars ice cream is amazing… and I went to the lord of the fries and got that amazing Parma burger and it was wow! So good. If only it was a little cheaper I’d go everyday. I’m a vegetarian but I don’t eat eggs or honey or wear wool. It’s so annoying how there’s so few good vegan chocolate.. the Kit Kat is horrible but I still ate it all. Mac and cheese chicken is amazing but has traces of egg in it. Wish there was a vegan pavlova. Almond chocolate milk is soo good.
