Emalyn's Purple Fig

This fig was introduced by our friend Mike Nave and named after his wife. It is a productive variety producing an abundant crop of medium-sized figs of excellent quality. I was not positive that this was a common type fig but friends in the eastern U.S. have reported producing ripe fruits this year so it is confirmed to not require caprification.
