Thanks for testing those Ben. Interesting results on those early versions. We've recently improved our internals on the Bak Flo moderators a bit. I'll try to get you some new ones to replace those with.
I would have thought that would have been the point of the test. Most phones have a db meter app. I would have loved to see without, and then each of them. That's the majority of the reason for using one is the sound.
Thank you for sharing that the printed suppression is on par with the big names. The sound is so similar I totally understand why you focused on the way that they influence accuracy. I suspect that if you tuned the gun for the long printed it might shoot as well as your preferred setup. If sound is critical and you only want to hear the hammer strick clearly go with the big names.
These are awesome budget moderators that Dana makes at Terminador Outdoors. I have the long and short backflo moderators from him and they work great!😊
I too have been using 3D printed moderators from Buck Rail and for 40 bucks to your door with free shipping....yep I like the 2 I purchased. My Tatsu is looking for a new PCP to put it on but no slouch either. Very well made and certainly more durable than 3D printed material but a few ounces heavier. You get what you pay for when you can afford it.
I use 3d print of Buck-rail .30cal it is not the quietest suppresor but it have a good sound and it weight under 100 grams inside with steel baffles and steel threads and that weight reduction i think helps wirh the accuracy co pared to large aluminum suppresors i have of 160 grams which i should watchout not to bump couse you can easily deform them however doesn't effect performance. However modern airgun suppresor need to have and holes to dispurse the the air sideways for better accuracy and that DonnyFL quick detach adapter system looks great. Deffenetly a space for improvement for 3d printed suppressors.
my country made airgun suppressors illegal so 3d printed ones are what many people are running nowadays. Or partially printed, the tube being CF and the baffles and endcaps are 3dprinted.
With my airgun and donnyfl the pellets I use just like the barrel they have a ammo they like, my 38 grain by nsa shoot just below the jsb 33, now if I use Griffen or Apolo or even the FX slugs they all shoot low right by an inch to a inch and a half
@@danielcarpenter4361 It's just a crappy Umarex gauntlet .25 1st gen and I have fully modified with a AR style stock on it, so it can shoot the NSA 38.5 grain I think is the correct grain weight at 965fps
I am surprised by the subject of this video; in fact, if precision remains necessary, it is not, I believe, the first thing that we expect from a suppressor, right? First are they more or less effective in terms of sound then if this is the case, do they maintain the required precision? Anyway as far as I do myself print my own supressors, I can say that the few I tried are a lot better than the one I used to buy earlier.
This test is flawed big time. Accuracy is dependent on many factors. The point of this vid should of been about sound reduction using measuring equipment etc🤷♂️
@@ShootingGearReviews The determining factors for accuracy does not all depend on moderators ie one may do better in a different toy but in another toy its shotgun patterns. If moderators dictate accuracy, those brand name mfg would be making claims about how its more accurate than its competitor
Stop complaining he said which one was the quietest. if it's super quiet but not accurate ita worthless so pretty important to know the impact to accuracy
I have the Carbon Fiber wrapped WENR DAWG i tried the first version of the backdraft and i clearly like the WENR DAWG way better on my high power gauntlet .25 , also didn't like the Design on the Backdraft, as soon as I unpackaged it my cousin was like why does it look like a ribbed circumsized sex toy 😂

I was hoping you would address the sound reduction abilities of the various moderators as well.
Honestly they are all about the same. With the 0db long actually being the most quiet and the Terminador Back Flow long is the second.

I have several of the Termidator LDC's on my air guns. Great sound reduction and outstanding accuracy!

Man I need one of these for my Hatsan Jet 1. That thing is just loud as hell.
Thanks Ben!!!

suppressor, slincer, moderator, they do help on POI if made correctly
Yoko was the quietest I thought

Ok.... so wouldn't you want a suppressor that's both quiet and accurate 🤔
BTW these were all within a few DB of eachother.
