Over 50 years I've seen just about every great rock drummer in concert, Keith Moon, John Bonham, Ian Paice, Bill Ward, Barry Barlow (Jethro Tull) Neil Pert etc.etc.etc. no one had the smooth incredible consistency & perfection of recorded tone like Mason. When Nick Mason was asked about his approach he replied "My doctor instructed me to never play over 72BPM...so thats just what I do"
I remember when the band came to Montreal, for a concert at Jarry Park, back in 1974. I was only 6 years old and that’s when my older sisters use to listen to them. In fact, Pink Floyd was the very first music group to introduce the Quadrophenic sound effect system and the music reverberated all over the concert park during that summer, with it’s four massive speakers. Hence Sir Nick Mason still looks very good, after all these years and yet he’s got so much style and real class. Thank you! for all the loving memories and may God bless Pink Floyd forever! With all my heart. Johnny, Montréal, Canada 🇨🇦
Can confirm that these drums were incredible when I heard/saw them live. Toms were beautifully resonant and the snare had a lovely crack to it. Stunning drums!
I MISS LIVING 1 MILE AWAY FROM DW 😞 IT WAS GREAT GOING THERE ON GUITAR CENTER DW FACTORY DAY. LOUIE GARCIA IS A GREAT GUY AND MOST EXCELLENT ARTIST. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The japanese characters are correct, though for proper names (companies) they would normally use the katakana characters ワークショップ for "workshop", however, the kanji 工房 (pronounced ko-bo-) is equally correct. Good job!
Absolutely stunning Luis and GW… So honored to be a part of this family happy anniversary you guys… You are undeniably the Rolls-Royce of drums and an incredible community and family. PS Nick Mason thank you for the inspiration and that kid is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen
Too bad Mason isn’t even as half as good now, as he was in the 70s. 😂 It’s like watching an old man move around in a wheelchair, a real yawnfest. Give it up already. 😂
Noble & Cooley, hands down the best sounding drum kit I’ve ever owned, especially the snare. DW is way overpriced, for mass produced drums, and don’t sound as good as N&C.
Nick no one else could perform The Final Cut album live like your band could, Roger don't have the Balls to and I bet Dave Gilmour would come in for one show with you just to show Roger up with his own Grearest work, The Final Cut has become in many ways the most desired Album because it's hasn't been played live, drive Roger crazy and humble him with Dave perform THE FINAL CUT Live Nick as only your band can do it!
DETESTO DA VELHICE ABOMINO ELA, DESEJO SEMPRE MAL A ELA. GRANDE BATERA, MASON É UMA LENDA. ELE É MELHOR AO VIVO DO QUE EM ESTÚDIO. INCRÍVEL. ASSISTAM POMPEYE.
Maybe your hearing is off? Or maybe you need to learn to tune your drums? DWs has the most amazing sound I've ever heard. And the the proof is in the number of pro drummers like Nick Mason that switched to DW. I've played drums for nearly 50 years now and the only kit I've owned that come close to the DW quality is a vintage Ludwig four piece from the 1950s I played many decades ago.

That's the most beautiful drumkit I've ever seen. A piece of art.
Having seen Mason play this kit a just over a week ago this video warmed my heart. :) Keep Floyding!
An incredible drumkit for an incredible drummer.
An incredible drum kit that is highly original.

Yes, that’s a very beautiful DW drum 🥁 kit with the Japanese crashing water 🌊 artwork, the bass drum heads finish it off perfectly! 👍🏻
Rock on Nick.
God bless you.
The most elegant drummer in whole world.
Can confirm that these drums were incredible when I heard/saw them live. Toms were beautifully resonant and the snare had a lovely crack to it.
Stunning drums!
Gorgeous kit Nick; wife and I are huge fans of your work!

"No..really..were not a drug band".
Lmao!!
He's ok as long as he gets eggs, sausage, chips and beans.
@@seethroughhead505 And a tea!

What a beauty!
Drummer for Pink Floyd which is my favourite band.

Nice looking kit Nick. Hope I see it soon live. Last saw you with Floyd in October of 87. Hartford civic center & Brendan Byrne Arena.
Love that I saw him live at Carré with pops just before he passed.
Would love to meet him someday

No, they are just another in a world full of nice kits. Don't be funny
Noble & Cooley, hands down the best sounding drum kit I’ve ever owned, especially the snare. DW is way overpriced, for mass produced drums, and don’t sound as good as N&C.
The Japanese is correct. Doramu kohboh ドラム工房 Drum Workshop. DW. Very beautiful drums. Been a fan of Nick Mason for 50 years.
Excellent reply.
The great wave of Kanagawa.

The drums are very nice, now if DW managed to make drums that sound good it would be great.

This competes with Neil’s Time Machine kit
We don't get to see much of the kit, it would have been nice to see it from behind as well.
great to see Nick and his awesome kit...is he ok though cos he appears to have a slight shaking of his head...i hope i'm seeing it wrong
Which Floyd songs require two bass drums?
😎👍💗🇺🇸🥁 LOUIE ROCKS!!!
If you can dream it, he can paint it!
Whaaaaaaaat
and what about the kit???
Mitico
? where is the drums sound ?
😎😎😎
Will you trade it for a Red Ferrari GT308 ?
ludwig sound better
Oh get over yourself,.. you don't even play.
Neil Peart used them so I guess they must be good, LOL.
Is he a Bandleader of Pink Floyd?
No, he was just the drummer
Roger Waters disait de lui qu'il jouait tu tambour 🥁 c'est du Roger 🥴
Blah
Blah
Blah....
And he doesn't play anything for the video. Sigh .
Too much time talking about the art work, when all we wanted was to hear them..!
D'ho!
