    🚨 *️QOTD: Are you mindful of how you could save water? What would your water savings be? How much would you save?*

  • @yoyoma99
    @yoyoma99 2 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    He mentions that the water gets warmer as you get closer to the shower head. That's a nice way of saying that atomized water gets cold super fast. Consequently you will have to use a hotter water setting than you normally do. I can attest to this from personal experience. I'm sure you will save water, but I'm not sure you will save energy using much hotter water.

    • @ThisIsTechToday
      @ThisIsTechToday  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It's honestly been so hot I had to turn my water heater down but okay. I'm merely saying what scientifically happens, it doesn't mean it gets cold by the time it hits you, it's just a fact that it is hotter the closer you are.

    It feels great to support the tech that is helpful not only for us but for earth too

    • @matheusfigueiredo9289
      @matheusfigueiredo9289 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Buddy let me tell you something, water saving has nothing to do with making Earth healthier, the propaganda behind water saving is just there so the average person that believes in it (so 80-90% of the population) will save water, therefore lowering the cost the companies and also the government (depending on where you live) that deal with water spend on treating it clean, water is water no matter what, I was extremely lucky to have a really good geography teacher on my early teens that teached us all that no matter what goes through the water cycle it always will rain down again, so unless you try to change water into something else chemically it won't change, but, even if you do manipulate water in that way you can also always turn it back into water, again, chemically, remember that nothing on our universe can be created from nothing, matter only changes, transforms, every action has a reaction, you learned that, therefore no matter what we do with our elements we can always revert the situation with science, so even on that scenario it's not something to worry about.
      Hopefully that also helps you notice more propaganda that people feed you that end up making you not enjoy life as much as you possibly could.
      Some extra thoughts for you to think about, why would "Tesla", "NASA" and "Apple" engineers receive funding like mentioned in the video to develop a completely "random" product out of nowhere?
      Because besides what I explained previously, companies also have a huge hard on in convincing the population into saving water for the simple reason that around 80-90% of all water used in a country goes to either industries or agriculture/animal stuff (data from my country, don't know how much it would be on yours but probably the same or more). Therefore by "teaching" people that they need to use just few water the rates and taxes that those companies will have to pay for the water they use will drop considerably low, in my country there has been water rationing in some places before and luckily because of that the topic became known and public debate started, then people started to get pissed that while they were just using 5-10% of the water consumed the industry, etc was using 85-90% but only the population was forced to take part on the rationing.
      If you're interested I can elaborate more in some parts and give more examples, didn't want to make this too long, wake up! and keep learning.

    My biggest concern is how long the adhesive will last especially in a wet environment. Although I do appreciate not having to drill any additional holes into the wall

    • @ThisIsTechToday
      @ThisIsTechToday  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far no issues, but I get the concern. They do offer the parts to mount it if you want to drill, but I imagine most are like me and prefer to not do that.

    • @NebiaShower
      @NebiaShower 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Hi Stanley, the industrial water-resistant adhesive we use is commonly applied in the automotive industry and high-end electronics. The adhesive is non-damaging to shower tile even if you decide to move, but strong enough to provide a rock-solid install year over year. However, If you’re concerned about the adhesive, you always have the option to use the included screw to mount the shower to the wall.

    How is the water flow pressure?

    • @ThisIsTechToday
      @ThisIsTechToday  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Before I answer this, some context. I live in Southern California where we have low flow requirements on faucets and what not. I'm used to feeling underwhelmed with showers and kind of like it when it feels like a hose of water is shooting at me, so to speak. Instead, it all feels like something that is trickling on me.
      The Nebia by Moen is a MUCH better experience. It's not like a hose where you feel the weight of the water falling on you or anything like that, but it still feels way more forceful than standard showers but in a different way. Because it is atomized, it feels different, but it isn't bad at all. I honestly like it a lot more than the shower head I had before, and my last one wasn't a bad or cheap one. It was a high quality standard Moen shower head that you can see in my video. I hope that makes sense. Essentially, I don't feel a longing for a better shower unlike how I did with my old shower head.

    Apparently, the designers of this shower don't have long, thick hair. I'd end up staying in there for an hour getting all the shampoo & conditioner out. I'm sorry, but I need a high powered shower with a lot of water! This aint my cup of tea!!!

    I don’t understand the “save 1 billion gallons” thing. The water you use in the shower simply gets recycled. The water you use has been around for billions of years.

      Hi, although the quantity of fresh water on earth has remained approximately the same since the beginning of time, fresh water available for human use makes up less than 1% of the water on earth. This 1% of fresh water is needed to support an estimated 7 billion people worldwide. Currently about 40% of the world's population live in water stressed areas, and this is project to increase to 50-65% by 2025, meaning that water conservation is more important than ever. You can read more about water scarcity here: freshwaterwatch.thewaterhub.org/content/water-limited-resource

      yeah, but it still has to be reprocessed and sanitized. Plus it costs money to get fresh water.

      Yup! Although, if your shower valve is in good condition you shouldn't have an issue, but it's worth the extra measures.

    I don’t like these rain shower heads, there is no pressure. I like a shower head that has ALOT of pressure. I too bought a $500 two in one shower head but I’m returning it . A cheap $100 one works ALOT better .
