Thats a new one! I have been asked if it picks up sticks, stones, grass. Lol. I learned to not talk to the kids about what I am doing because then they start digging like rats. I usually shut it off and head homecwhen the kids start popping up.
well great video Kay, here in SC when i hunt the kiddie parks with my new whites mxsport you helped me to get, the peopleini the neighborhood dont like us metal people digging in their kids parks. almost got arrested twice for digging in the parks. you do a great job. love all your videos
I once found a key to a master lock in a kiddy sand box, two minutes later, I found the lock that went with it! I still have that lock. I donts generally hunt playgrounds as much now that my kiddos grew up. I still hunt playgrounds and parks. I once found a 14k dolphin bracelet that matched the necklace my sister bought. When she told me she had the necklass, It was a no brainer. I have never found any gold earrings and it might be gold bothers peoples ears. I have found a few sterling silver ones. Not many gold rings eather. Metal detecting is still fun for me, just not the getting back up part. lol.
Lol! I like parks too! Large open areas. Great exercise! Deep knee bends. Lol. The first few weeks after the long winter break are killers on the legs! Lol

I use a big ole Craftsman. The phillips design is worn off. It could never be used as a screwdriver again! More like a large Ice pick now. I cant even take it back now to replace it. That was my goal when I quit metal detecting. Oh well.

That "chirp" the detector makes is it's way of telling you there is a target under the coil that has been discriminated out. My old Fisher 1235X does that. Probably not the best idea to have a shovel like that in a tot-lot. Some folks might want to kick you out, or change the rules to keep you out, which is a shame, especially when you're removing trash. Go down to Wally World, in the gardening section, and get a plastic, three-tine, hand rake. It's small enough to fit into that bag you use for your targets, and makes quick work of recovering targets. Plus, they're only about a dollar.
I had one of these machines for literally one day and sent it back, felt like a toy. If they built them with a real shaft, coil combination it could/would be 1000% better. I'll keep my Equinox until something better comes along.

She Detector can I ask what are the laws down in Florida about detecting parks and or schools. I try looking it up on line and have talk with some other about it but got conflicting reports. Like your channel.

its long so please read ! hi shedetec, im just wondering when you go to parks like picnic tables and kid play grounds to metal detec, do you have to get permission from the county parks dept, in order to hunt ??? in marion county , fla. you do !! so the county can watch you and take anthing of value if you find something ,, friend of mine did and the county planted a ring with the county park letters in it the day befor he hunted ,, the county will give you a date to hunt !! and not befor then !!! thanks larry from silversprings
Hi Larry. It depends on where you are. Some parks in Pasco don't allow you to hunt except during certain hours. Some parks in Pinellas don't allow you to hunt anywhere except the beach. For example, I've hunted Fred Howard park in Tarpon Springs before and you can only hunt the beach, not the actual park or the tot lots. But I always make sure to check before hunting anywhere. Last thing I want is a ticket!

Nice to see in detecting out side of beaches . when you want to use a coin to set the discrimination, Use a nickel when u lose the nickel dial back down a tad till it comes back in, that should get most of irons out and give u all the coins and rings .
So how long has it taken you to fill that jar to where it is now? I've been detecting for about three months now and I've found that much. Using a Ace 250 and about three weeks ago got a AT Pro.

Hi SD! Great hunt and lots of coins for the jar! 👍😊 Based on my experience in similar tot lots, it's helpful to have a hand shovel and a screw driver to dig/pop out the targets. Usually the mulch sits on a ground barrier (weeds?) so your limited to the depth of the mulch (~4" give or take). Not much digging required. I've found it frustrating when I get a good signal under the barrier in an older area 😝 GL & HH!
Yes that is what I was wondering also .lol Im just started in the hobby using low end bounty hunters and I have seen She Detector use detectors that I was envious of . NOT this one for sure.
I think, as a matter of public relations, you might want to lower the discrimination so that you can help remove those possible injury pieces. Other than that I loved the vid.

Tot lots with rubber are chemically dangerous and are associated with lukemia so dont hunt those or take kids to them. Mulched lots are easy hunts ... Always find lots of coins and even some jewelry. Nice video.

We get snow here too! I’ve been able to swing most of the winter. It’s not easy or comfortable though.

Me too! I was told to lower my sensitivity to about 3 inch depth so it will only ring on deep cans and caps. Etc.
