In 1972 or '73, a NYC deejay announced that fans could see Bowie off at the pier just before sailing back to England on the Queen Elizabeth II. A few of us went and were shocked that hardly anyone else was there. I was amazed that we were able to stand around with him and talk, and even more amazed that he was warm, friendly, genuine, and humble. Still can't believe it really happened.

Dang- he was quite the family man. To say, if he had to choose between career and what he and Iman shared there'd be no choice- just melts my heart. One thing for sure he was charismatic and for real, with his heart in the right place for his children, and that gorgeous woman by his side. Not seen many show biz stars who have matched that commitment to build value into their private life, and family unit.
Yes, and she naturally inspired and motivated him to keep that commitment. He adored her. She's fun, smart, beautiful, respectful of herself and others, regal yet down to earth... she is the woman, truly beautiful both inside and out, that he'd only hoped existed. When he wrote "Be My Wife"... he hadn't met her yet, but she's who he was hoping for. So when he found her, he cherished her. It was easy for him to give up whatever drugs or people that weren't good for him. He'd been there, done that. So had she. They leveled up together.

David Bowie is music goals, father goals, husband goals, life goals. A man I respect in every aspect of his life. He basically gave up music for his family, he was a single father for years to Duncan and prioritised bringing two rounded and successful human beings into the world. Says a lot.

A few of us went and were shocked that hardly anyone else was there. I was amazed that we were able to stand around with him and talk, and even more amazed that he was warm, friendly, genuine, and humble. Still can't believe it really happened.

Dang- he was quite the family man. To say, if he had to choose between career and what he and Iman shared there'd be no choice- just melts my heart. I fell in love with David in 1973 watching Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars at the age of 8. He's always done it for me in a kind of profound way.
So I think I'm saying, I'm just super happy and moved by the love he found and shared, with Iman.

Rarely do you hear that amongst us every day people, let alone a celebrity couple. They didn't just love each other they were really in love with each other. Looks to be where it began it ended, and they were still so much in love. Lucky they were that the stars aligned, and they found their perfect match at the right time.
