John a quick question the dead lock you removed didn't look like a bs ie no hard plate so would that mean that flat would have insurance or the insurance would be void of there was a break in would that be right ?
Nice video 🙂 but, If it's a rented flat in its above ground floor, that lock you put in doesn't conform to regulations as it isn't egress, so in the event of a fire you can't exit without a key. You should always upgrade.
Yeah I know mate. This was for a housing association they want like for like and I always tell them it needs to be a thumbturn as it will fail the inspection. I've never been called back so I guess they change them when they fail with their own maintenance team to save on cost.

Yes mate, using locks that don't meet the British Standards for door and window security can void your home insurance policy
