He barely spent any time in this video talking about the effects involved with the ZEDi, so im not sure what youre referring to. Nearly everything is the same except the effects, so im not sure what you want him to cover? The advantages of the zedi10fx vs zed10fx was one of the very first things he mentions in this video.
The only advantage is that newer zedi has a main Fader, 4 + 4 interface 96khz, instead of 2+2khz, so you can multitrack instruments instead of hard paning 2 instruments... But The older Zed is a real 10 analog input, the Zedi is 8+ USB Has Q in the mids for more precise EQ Has 3 band EQ for the stereo inputs (none for the RCA) More leds on the vumeters Inserts on the mains No footswitch for effects (but there's a manual on their website to mod It) So I assume they dropped analog qualities in favor of a more powerful DAW. I can't tell if one sounds better than the other, if they are using the same preamps and quality materials (to me It seems a drop without having seen none of them) but as long as connections and mixing is involved the older one is far superior.
Hello! The only difference is the ZEDi10FX comes with delays, reverbs, echos, chorus, etc. type of effects that you can add to each channel. Thanks for the interest! Kevin Spunde, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1732, Kevin_Spunde@Sweetwater.com
Although the Allen Heath Zed series are built well and the sound quality is very good, there is one issue with the stereo channels inputs: while these inputs accepts both TRS (balanced) and TS (unbalanced) jacks, the inputs are actually unbalanced so, if you want to connect the output of a balanced device to the stereo channels TRS inputs, you loose the balanced connection because the inputs are actually unbalanced. What is the point of fitting a mixer with TRS inputs that accepts a balanced signal, only to loose the balanced connection and half of the source signal level at the mixer input?
Hi. What do You think about zedi10fx Allen and Heath? Multitrack. 4/4. 24-bit 96kHz . Gspre. I want to know if this mix interfaz is a good option for get a profesional sound recording homestudio. Is there a Big distance vs audient ID14 about clear sound ? By the way, do You can get separate tracks with it or only stereo track. Thanks.
I just purchased the Allen & Heath zed10fx and want to add my own fx pedals to affect all active channels. It was easy on my Mackie mix8. I can’t seem to figure it out. Someone help, please.
Hey, Brad! Josh here at Sweetwater… Thanks for the inquiry! Great question. So - the typical way to send a signal to a powered sub is via the L & R outputs on your mixer to the back of the sub, then there should be two other outputs from the sub to your main speakers. The crossover is done within the sub, and some subs can control that cross over with a panel on the back. I believe it's that the zedi allow multrack recording, example record all four mics to separate channels in DAW, as opposed to ZED which record the master mix to a single stereo out.
Hello, Alston! The ZED60 gives you 60mm faders and a stereo 2x2 usb interface built in, while the ZEDi does not have faders, but the usb connectivity gives you individual channels in a 4 in - 4 out setup. Hi guys, I can't understand the difference between the ZED and the ZEDi series, can someone explain it? I'm looking for a mixer that is able to record multiple channel at the same time and sending it to usb so I can adjust gain and other effects from the pc for each channel, which mixer should I buy?
Hey there! Great question! This ZEDi is considered a hybrid mixer, meaning it combines elements of analog and digital in its chassis. Are you looking for something that's going to multitrack, or something that's going to record a stereo bus via USB? I'd love to talk more about it. Can you give me a shout at the contact info below? Can someone please help me if it'll be better to buy the a&h zed 6 or the audio interface ni komplete 2, i'm focused on sound quality, please help me 🙏🏻
ZED mixer was *not* reviewed. What's the difference? I cant image this "review" being anything other than an *explanation* of what the ZEDi does, just like other mixers. Sweetwater wants to *sell* you a mixer.
Hello! Besides a slightly different layout, the ZEDi has a 4x4 usb interface (so you can record each channel separately), as opposed to the just stereo in/out over USB on the ZED10. Thanks for the interest! Kevin Spunde, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1732, Kevin_Spunde@Sweetwater.com
It's always a pleasure to watch and learn from Mitch! These look great, thanks Mr G and Sweetwater!
You focused nearly exclusively on the Zedi 10fx. Could you please make a video pointing out the advantages of the Zedi 10fx vs. the Zed 10 fx?

I'm torn between the zedi 10 or waiting for the new Art 32 bit x4 interface
Very well explained! Thank you sir!
zedi10 fx pic at 0:32 is the zed10 fx, not zedi10 fx
Hi, which one is better for live performance? ZED10fx or ZEDi10fx?? I don't need audio interface..
Awesome review!! Have the ZEDi 10 in the mail!
Hi Sir very nice review,! May I ask again what is the difference between ZEDi10 and ZEDi10FX?

My favorite Star Wars movie was Return of the Zedi.
i know you can send audio, in and out of usb i/o. can you also send and receive midi via the zed usb i/o?
Which is better ZED or ZEDi?
tHERE'S NO INSERT :(
Can you connect that to an Android phone to record from the keyboard to mixer just like Yamaha XG10U was it. Thank you!

A&H desks are the bees knees if you please. I got the bigger elder bro ZEd R16 but these look sweet as a peach.

I don’t see any inserts on this, you may have had them on the mackie
anyone know if the Zedi-10fx is compatible with JamKazam?
Does it have a powered subwoofer control knob? How is the best way to send a signal to an external powered sub? Thanks

Does the USB input assign to channels 3 & 4? or is only controlled by the main out?
It's controlled by st3 i think.

He explains that there is a button for switching between outputting the individual tracks, or the mixed signal, to usb.

Unfortunately nothing about ZED FX models and differences between ZEDi and ZED models.
I think for the zed you need a Di box to plug in a guitar but the zdei comes with a Di box in it .
Damn dude you talk faster than a blond cheerleader trying to hook up with the star quarterback... Slow down man.
