My bf and I have had some luck with dumpster diving. The S. A. store near where I lived would toss TONS of donations when they had "too much" of certain items so sometimes we would recover vintage lamps, brick a brac, etc. He once found $2000 cash in an old dishwasher! His great vintage find I am saving for when I can get on Dr. Lori's live Y.T. show, it was unbelievable to me.
Blessings to everyone that takes the time to donate or set up a garage sale instead of just tossing it in a dumpster. It’s remarkable and always surprising what comes through thrift stores without damage to the items!
Yeah kids today have no sentimental feelings -- they throw all their stuff away. Doesn't take time to drop it off at the thrift store or even give it away at the curb.
@@herasmarket From my experience of seeing tens of thousands of items every year and hearing the stories that go with them, I have to respectfully disagree. Actually many young grandkids want their grandparent stuff, but are never asked if they want it. Millennials also want old stuff since they think it's cool looking and is built better. I've written several articles on my website with real examples.
That is true to an extent. I had mentioned to my mom like years ago that I liked her cookbooks and recipes that she had stashed away. She gave them to me to my surprise. Hi Dr. Lori, I just started, watching you and I've got to say I love you! I found 2 oil on canvas landscape painting's in the dumpster. One isn't signed, but one is signed CAFIERI. Could they have any value and/or be authentic?
😂😂😂😂
I can help! Need to see the pieces to verify what you really have. Check out my website for details.

Hi Dr Lori, just catching your show for the first time! Excellent! I'm interested in the spelling of Linda Moyoki (*sp) who created the ceramics featured by Don from Michigan. I wasn't able to find anything so must be guessing wrong on the spelling.
Have to see your piece to verify what you really have. And if the signature is real or fake.
Love ❤️ Thanks for everything!

Help me get to show you. I don’t display this vase either. Lois from Ohio. Love your channel btw
