    Sheriff's office said that searchers found NO TRACKS on the snow near Presler's pick-up when they searched for him between November 11 and 18th. The snow accumulated around the vehicle was about 3 feet deep. They stopped the search. On November 24th, Presler's body was found about 300 feet away from the pick-up. The snow was lower, and I suppose the body could be noticed. So he died before November 11 and his body was covered by the snow all this time? Or he died after November 18 on the spot where his body was found on Friday? Interesting

  • @amyburrblotner

    Oh come on man I'm sure there is enough search territory for everyone...

    • @RatandCat
      @RatandCat  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      These are actual crime scenes. If I was searching with a search and rescue team for on an active search, that would be one thing, but if I was to run around base camp and the immediate search area with a camera like a reporter, I would be asked to leave by the sheriff's department, and potential could accidental interfere with the search and be changed with ibstruction. Sometimes reporters will dress up like a SAR volunteer to try to get more info. Because I'm on a SAR team, it's important for me to seporate my two roles.

    I didn't know about this new missing person. This is terrible. The 5th one to disappear in that area, 4th was Kris. Nobody was found alive seemingly. Again, like in Kris' case, a snow storm develops quickly and snow erases any tracks, and blocks efforts by searchers to find the missing person....Same pattern. Joel Presler KNEW this area, the TERRAIN like the palm of his hand, he was not going to go hunting when a massive snowfall was coming, he was an expert. This area is missing persons' ground. Believe or not, this is Sasquatch area, and when this happens strange things happen, people go missing forever in unusual circumstances, unexpected snow storms, compasses don't work, cell phones go dead, etc. A typical 411 Missing person case. John Carslon, Emergency Management Director said it: "people do not go there" to that area where Kris and now Joel went, and are missing. Thanks, Nikia, for this video, please, keeps us informed about any update. Many blessings to you :)

    HEY BRO, ..
    I'M SINGLE ..
    I HAVE NO FAMILY...
    I'M HOMELESS AND LIVE IN MY TRUCK WITH MY DOG, WE SURVIVED A LOT OF COLD TOGETHER AND THE ELIMENTS OF NATURE.....
    MAYBE I SHOULD GO LOOK FOR THESE GUYS .......
    I KNOW HOW TO SURVIVE THESE WEATHER'S WITH JUST ME AND MY GEAR AND A COUPLE OF TRASH BAGS ....
    SHOW PEOPLE WHO GO OFF THE BEATEN PATH , HOW TO SURVIVE WITH HEAVY DUTY LAWN CARE BAGS ,..
    YOU CAN PUT THEM OVER YOUR FEET, TO KEEP THE WET SNOW AND THE COLD OFF OF YOU .....
    Plastic bag or the solution and the primary survival need for any Loft River homeless person. I've been in freezing cold weathers survive off of nothing more then slipping into these trash bags I pull one down over top of me like a rain poncho only cutting a hole big enough for my arms to stick out then I pull one up and put my legs through it that'll keep the mid torso area. It'll keep the wind from passing through your clothes and making the moisture gets your body cold which is the key element to hypothermia pneumonia , these are the detrimental killing elements that people are unaware of but yet with something as simple as a plastic bag trash bag they could have survived. Notwithstanding that you can hold water in the plastic bag food, etc ....

    • @RatandCat
      @RatandCat  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      THE Grump2, yeah, you can do a lot with plastic bags! The area these men went missing is covered in snow right now, so I would recommend looking for them until early summer. I think it's a worthy cause!

      When they Fallout a wild animals will start to devour and consume the carcasses ...
      I personally feel as though I'd rather put myself in spitting distance of whatever opposing these people from returning from where they left. The best way to resolve an issue or problem is to know the issue is a problem. And it's coming parent to me that not too many seem to be aware of just what exactly is working against these people. Now, I do consider the fact that this could be Bigfoot related. I don't doubt that it is. But I'm also open-minded to hey instead of speculating but we don't know let's go put ourselves in Arms Reach or spitting distance of finding out...
      Someone says that they're my enemy I go get in their face not aggressively but just like, here I am . I'm a strong believer and that if a problem or an opposition opposes you or there's a situation you can't exactly figure out such as the case with these people you just keep coming up missing around all within the same general area I say the best way to figure it out let's go jump in the middle of it put yourself and spitting distance of it. Just like when I hear somebody got a problem with me don't like me or there a my enemy guess what I'm the type of cloud that I go to investigate hey you don't like me, you got a problem with me? Well here I am let's get it resolved. I run my business that way I've ran my employees that way I don't beat around the bush and I don't run from her hide from nothing.
      Some people say I'm a lunatic. I just say I don't like put up a shenanigans and b*******..

    The missing hunter was found dead ....HOW COME he died apparently from hypothermia, nearby his vehicle? This is baffling. In my opinion his strange disappearance and death circumstances fit a 411 MISSING case: snow came in huge amounts when he was reported missing - Remember when Kris disappeared, snow came and search was halted - making search almost impossible, erasing tracks, etc. He took off his jacket, backpack like many other people missing did too. He died of HYPOTHERMIA when he could see his pickup and get inside ??? There are Sasquatches in the area and I don't believe his death was due to anything wrong he did. 5 PEOPLE including Kris died there already, mostly hunters. Joel was a very experienced hunter, he knew the area very well. Very SCARY happening

    • @RatandCat
      @RatandCat  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MyLovedWildAnimals, Pressler displayed classic simpims of hypothermia. While I applaud Paulides for bringing attention to the topic and his powerful mustache, I am concerned that he ignores or doesn't know the science of lost person behaviour and instead frequently implies the supernatural. Also, while he does say to take some basic survival tools with you, people need more than that. If this hunter did die from hypothermia (the coroner's report isn't in yet), having a dry set of clothes with him to change into in his truck and a cold weather sleeping bag could have saved his life. And knowing about pride: thinking you can tough it out. If a person starts vielently shaking from cold and wet, immediate action needs to be taken, because your mind is often the next thing to go. In my experience, I was sitting in a truck with the heat on full blast and still going deeper into hypothermia... until I took my wet clothes off.

    • @mylovedwildanimals8520
      @mylovedwildanimals8520 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      David Paulides never has told that supernatural is the reason for missing people in forests. Not everything can be explained by science, strange things happen in wilderness and you should know this is true. There are disappearances and deaths that defy any logical reasoning. Mysteries that are supposed to remain mysteries

    • @iknowit5846
      @iknowit5846 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      So the Sasquatches you pointed out in your video before this one, are a hoax? Where there are SASQUATCHES people go missing. Simple like that. You can be atheist, your god can be science, materialism, but let me tell you, sir, in many cases of missing people in national forests, their disappearances and in some cases the manner how their remains were found, are too strange, too creepy for your mind to put on the parachute of science, reason for you to come up with an explanation that makes any sense. That hunter Presler paid with his life his going to that beautiful forest to kill animals for pleasure. Interestingly and creepy, he died nearby his vehicle. I bet he did not know a huge snowstorm was coming his way. But it came and killed him. 5th hunter? Lol

    • @RatandCat
      @RatandCat  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      MyLovedWildAnimals, the Sasquatch I showed in the previous video were not a hoax- I are not trying to trick anyone because I am not trying to trick any one. Creating a scenarios where my viewers can be actively participating in search activities is what my channel is about- actively searching for missing people. I've never seen a big foot, but I have seen tracks. I do think it's highly unlikely the two are related. Just my opinion.

    • @LittleChena
      @LittleChena 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rat and Cat I agree with you. Hypothermia is a fast killer and it takes not much to get in a really dangerous situation. He was found 300 feet from his truck, that shows how irrational his behavior was. That shows classic signs of hypothermia. They can’t think straight. Paulides has many cases where I think that nothing mysterious happened. When people get lost they are under shock and in a panic modus. They are not trained to deal with this kind of situation. They don’t expect that this can be happened. I live in Alaska, I learned from experience that everything can change fast, one moment you out enjoying what ever you are doing and in a blink of a second you are in a dangerous situation and only training and education can help that you realize it fast. Not 30 minutes later or hours running around in circles. You can die in your backyard if you are not aware of the situation. For the winter month I hope you do a few videos about hypothermia, getting lost in deep snow, how to deal with being out and it’s getting dark. Gear list what people should have in their cars and back bags during the cold weather. My advice for all who driving in rural areas, have a sleeping back in your car, handwarmer, set of cloths, additional jacket and gloves. Also a little box with a lighter, emergency flames and a flashlight. A small shovel and energy bars but all of this will only help if you realize fast that you are in danger. If not there is a high chance that you will end like this poor man. Nothing mysterious about it. Thanks for the video, was great as always, missed the intro.

    Great show Rat and Cat. Out side the box and beyond the norm of Paranormal and WTF UFO and Big Foot crap. Thanks. As a painter of Nature, I think your coverage of forest, woodlands, and rough terrain is an artist treasure box of reference material, for inspiration and creative ideas to paint. Again thanks and keep up the great works. May I add, it would be awesome if you could describe, by name, some of the various natural vegetation in your videos. Types of forest trees, rocks, and general plant life in the region/area of your searching....animals, etc.......

      Nothing strange, when they get hypothermia they get rid of clothes, shoes, gloves. At the end they feeling warm, sometimes hot. The ability to think straight is gone. It’s a fast, painless death and they don’t suffer. Feeling very sorry for his family.

    I hope you didn't think my mention of the missing hunter as a suggestion that you go looking for him now. I would never suggest anyone go looking in the snow. Snow in the mountains is a killer all by itself. I've been there, done that. Only professional groups should trek into a snow rescue/recovery and the 'group' is key.
    Presler might make a good hunt next season after the snow melts. Never do snow. It is always futile anyway because snow quickly covers the body, evidence and tracks. My theory would be Presler fell/slipped and broke something, could not walk, hopelessly waited for a rescue which is now too late. For all we know he might have done suicide. As you say, stay safe.
    I think Patreon would be the way to go.

    • @RatandCat
      @RatandCat  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bob Meyers, I would have mentioned you by nsme, but I couldn't find your comment when I went back looking for it. I've had a lot of comments lately :-). No problem either way, it gave me another opportunity to address why I don't go out doing live searches. I appreciate your thoughts and feedback. And there's so much that could have happened. Hunters often spray themselves to attract wild animals and that attracts predators too. But I think you're right, it's probably something fairly simple like he broke a bone or injured himself or forgot his compass and exposure set in. Sad in any case.

      Ed Mu, yes, sometimes. Other times weather comes in that is unexpectedly fierce- cold, wind, snow. Then something else goes wrong. Maybe an injury, or a foot wet, or there a new leak in your weather gear. Those sorts of things can take the strongest outdoorsman down.

    That hunter went to those forests with the intention to KILL animals whose home is that place. It seems Mr. Presler did that for years, he went there to take other beings' lives, WITHOUT any reason other than to KILL for pleasure. Well, NATURE had enough - or Karma, or the spirits in charge of the forest- and his life was taken. ELKS and all the magnificent animals are throwing a huge party ! Another hunter bit the dust. Life is good.
