I always thought skimmers was term applied to Bream in their silver stage, when they turn on their sides and skim across the top when reeled in. When they darken off i call them Bream. My mate calls them Breamettes.
I used to fish there regular until the owner Jamie put the day-tickets up to over £10+.. But if you ask nicely they sometimes deliver pies and beverages (including beer to your peg). My favourite lake was The Old Dam Pool... Proper 6/7/8/9lb Bream in there!!!!!!!
100% should be more fisheries like it , there's way ro many crap in lakes now, for the pleasure Anglia. My club have a lake and removed every crap and doy there's some stunning tench and Bream in there and everyone loves it. Great blog Andy, your a star
There should be more clubs that do the same. When I was a young lad, catching a carp was almost impossible. Now, it almost impossible to catch anything else.
