in my country XR 64GB is just USD25 cheaper than 128GB S10 Plus , anyway i bought iPhone XR week ago because my S9 plus was lost , and needed a phone urgently as i couldn't wait for S10 to go on sale , but yeah miss the hardware on Samsung phone , will go back samsung perhaps next year

Same story. At multitasking. You tap and have to wait while Samsung will decide to reopen the app. And the iPhone is just instantly reopened all apps. Looks very fast and natural

Actually considering switching my S10e (exynos) for the Xs. Hvad my s10e for about 2 months, and loved it in the beginning. But now it's starts to annoy me. I have many problems unlocking the phone. Especially, when it's charging. I get a lot of "can't unlock" messages. It often lags, so i try to unlock it again, so i end up unlocking it again. Also i find the colors and screen dull compared to my Huawei. I don't know if it's the exynos chip that gives a sub par experince. Cause honestly I don't feel the praises, everyone is giving it. I've tried resetting it multiple times, not loading backups. It's the same every time. I might have been unlucky with mine, but I really feel buyers remorse on this one. So I'm considering trying the other side, for a change.
All beware they Samsung has two different models with the s10e the g970u is the model you want it has the snapdragon 855 and the g970w and g970f has the exynos 9820 which runs more hot and uses more battery.
At least within Canada and the US they only sell here the Snapdragon model. The international model is the one with the Equinox. Equinox has already been proven to be inferior to Snapdragon. Samsung needs to just scrap the Equinox entirely and use Snapdragon only.

The 10e is a beastly little, compact phone. Plus it's cheaper, both are extremely fast. Could be happy with either or. The 6gb's makes a difference on the 10e, nice review Nick!
The s10e and XS are far more alike than the XR. They are exactly the same size in body and screen, both have dual cameras, both use a pretty much identical screen resolution and both use oled technology. The s10e is just an example of android costing less for a similar device.

The most advanced security measures, the most durable materials used in a smartphone, iMessage with 256 bit AES, the latest and most updated version of applications. Software support for multiple years to come, OS updates to come immediately to the phone right after Apple sends it out etc etc. that is why Androids in general are cheaper. There is less R&D behind Android phones compared to iPhones if you want a better product, you’ll pay more for it. Nothing unusual.
well apple throttle their phones and ive found my Xs that u used to use slow down quite a while ago, whereas all of my previous samsung phones and my current S10e have never slowed down one bit

S10e definitely faster. Just want to mention that when you were doing the browser test, you had the XS on Private browsing which is suppose to make it faster. ☺️but S10e beat him anyway!
Umm you do realize that cache is used to load the websites when not being browsed in incognito, right? That means the S10e had the slight edge over the XS since the latter had to load the site for the first time without any access to cache to load the images and stuff faster. Anything to hate on the iPhone.🤷🏻♂️

Over 2 years later: Iphone XS $400 S10E $200 In my local market. Those are lower end models. XS only 64gb storage vs 128 for S10E. Also wide angel lens on S10e is a bonus. Price so cheap now. I actually got mine for $150 because it has a black dot on the screen. Such a great value.

Nah iPhones freeze the app after you enter it again you would need to wait for half a second they do that so it looks smoother while multitasking
Try opening a game or an app where there's animations running in the main menu and see for yourself :)

There's always an animation delay when opening games on Galaxy phones. I really don't know why.
Because on Android the app changes from portrait to landscape.On ios it opens in landscape mode.

That portrait to landscape animation is terrible on android. It’s clunky and not smooth. Otherwise the animations are passable.

I have S10e over half-year I am pretty satisfied except battery life is not so great but I now would switch to iPhone for software and faster camera
IMO apple products are a status symbol for many.
In india people buy the apple just for the logo for almost 2000 dollars thats twice the price but things are turning around

It doesn't snap photos quicker... It only does the black screen animation first! If you see the gallery animation the photo is taken at the same time.
