LFOstore I will play with these tomorrow, today I am playing with the new Sonicware Liven 8bit Warps , I backed it on Kickstarter and got it a few days ago, due for public release in November, you guys should check it out. Cheers again and keep synthwaving 😈
I saw an XL+ for 300 and was very tempted to buy it, but I found out about the awful controls. That's what can really kill your momentum unless you fully understand the way it works. You might think that sounds stupid but I want more intuitive gear that I don't need a manual every time I use something.
I just ordered this synth, will be buying these patches. Sounds great! One noob question - how do you program these sounds? Is there some editor software available?
I am thinking about bying the the soundset, sounds awesone! How do I get the soundset into my Microkorg XL+ after i have downloaded it? Thanks for your help!
The beauty of the Refaces is that you can end up with all of them after a few months. For how great they are the cheap price and mobility/versatility is scandalous to overlook. That said this is a MIGHTY sound engine. So heavily overlooked but its amongst the reasons I play a RK100 (derived from this engine) and not the Ax-E. Perhaps see it as the same problem people have with the Prologue series. They look at the spec sheet, feel disappointed and look at alternatives. Then they come across the Korg in passing and the sound... it just leaves you with that 'feeling'. I love it.

I prefer my XL over the original microkorg. But that's because it has great Rhodes and 70s 80s electric keys and organ sounds that I prefer. The original does have unique synth sounds the xl doesn't seem to have but the xl has some very good blade runner sounds and top notch analog like echos

Some of the sounds on the MicroKorg XL+ suck compared to the MicroKorg XL. It's like they took some of the sounds from the MicroKorg XL, and changed them so they don't sound as good.
I honestly didn't know my Microkorg XL could sound good, but I never gave it the time of day., If I find every preset on board crap, I think that if the manufacturer couldn't get good sounds out of it, how can I, and I never look at it again. Was about to list it for sale, I am going to buy your patch bank instead and actually devote time to learning to program it now. Cheers.
Wow and 15 euro, a sensible price for once. That sounds wicked. What I want next are some nice poly trance plucks. Can the XL do those? If it can, I will spend the time and make them, but if it can't, tell me now lol.

Ms2000 patches work on XL but I don't think XL patches work on ms2000, you would have to test

The XL can play MicroKorg, ms2000 and XL plus patches
Only for the possibility to save your own programs, I´d choose Microkog XL all the way (Yamaha CS can´t store patches).

So should i buy the first microkorg, the microkorg s, or this microkorg xl plus because they all sound good and I can't make up my mind atm
The XL can play all patches from ms2000 MicroKorg and XL plus, there is a converter

I've owned original MK. I would buy XL version. It has better keys, better interface and 4 voices more (8 in total).
