John doe from Se7en does actually appear several times before his full reveal in the police station - he poses as the photographer outside the Sloth victim's apartment and attacks Mills when tracked to his own apartment. Still, massively impactful entrance and worthy of a mention
King Richard - both the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Sean Connery) and Robin Hood: Men in Tights (Patrick Stewart). They each show up for the wedding at the end of their respective movies and steal the show.
Well, when all you are doing is cold reading a script (recording it without proof reading first) when his name comes up, you are more than likely going to say Ralph, because that's how it's written
In all honesty i would be added to that list of idiots who incorrectly pronounced his name incorrectly all this time. My apologies, i had no idea it was pronounced Rafe and not Ralph. Time to read more
Because this channel is on it's last legs, and they are trying to keep people from leaving the video early so the channel gets the credit for a full watch, would be my guess
Yeah, was thinking the same. He appears for only 5 minutes at the very end yet it was enough to net him an Academy Award. This one is absolutely missing here.
Does cut off at the end mean something different to the current generation? It used to mean something that was stopped mid-sentence, but considering the statement ended at the conclusion of the sentence and not mid-way through, it must have changed since I was in school.
You don't end a sentence like that intonation. It was probably an edit to avoid showing how that shot ends, with a morph to how Matt Damon;'s character appears AT THE START OF THE MOVIE, invalidating its inclusion in the list.
Look... I enjoyed the list, BUT... you need to put an outro at the end of these videos. This is not only just lazy and unprofessional but it actually cuts off in the middle of you speaking at the end! 😑😑
John Doe does appear briefly before the final scene where he gives himself up. The detectives go back to one of the crime scenes and they run into John Doe there, resulting in a chase. We, as the audience, dont know the identity of the person at the time, but it is the first appearance of the character.
John Doe IS seen. At least twice before he walks into the police HQ. When they show up at his front door and when he’s pretending to be a photographer on the stairwell.

At the time, the build up, expectations and top billing of Marlon Brando's Kurtz almost singlehandedly inhibited Apocalypse Now's reception, as it was met with divisive critique and only a pair of trophies. Can't help but think had they gone the Seven route, and left the role as a surprise, the film would have been contemporarily regarded as even more of an absolute classic. But alas, a different time, and all the gelato in Italy could probably not convince Brando to be on board with that notion.
The "Try and stop me you jumped up little shit:" and "Welcome to Scotland" lines are dead giveaways that several someones involved in the production REALLY wanted them to get Sean Connery for the part. Those someones did not include director Sam Mendes who has said in interviews that he was not in favor of it thinking that it would be more of a distraction than it was worth...
Se7en was amazing! On first watch John Doe is seen but not as the killer. Also, off topic, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey and Brad Pitt. I don’t think this film had a chance to fail!
I am going to say it. I did not like The Joker from The Batman. Yes, he is better than the Jared Leto version, but they really crowbarred him in that film out of fanfare. I saw the deleted scene of him as well and thought he looked off-putting. The Batman was perfect without his inclusion.
Not so much the character but Albert Finney was one of the very small number of actors who could call James Bond a "jumped up little sh1t" and get away with it!
@captainspaulding5963 if you want to be picky then yes you are correct, however, as I suspect you know, I was referring to the fact that most actors just don't have the screen presence to use that line on an iconic character like Bond.
@AndyRobertson-m5r what do you mean "being picky"?? Your statement was completely false. He wasn't the only character that could call Bond names..... literally anyone can. Just read what's written on the script. Hell, Judy Dench's "M" calls him quite a few things, thereby even further making your original claim false.
@@captainspaulding5963 as I can't tell where you live, so may not get the reference, may I refer you to a character from the British adult comic Viz, specifically Lawrence Logic. The strip was titled "Mr Logic, He's a pain in the arse", and much like yourself took comments literally rather than understanding their meaning. I suspect you will have a clever and factually accurate response for me, but I have better things to do, so I will just say enjoy yourself.
@@AndyRobertson-m5r nope, you can't refer me to anything.... what you may want to do in the future though, is post what you MEAN, and not expect people to read your mind through the internet. As it stands, the way your original comment is written, is 100% wrong. And it seems that you can't handle that being pointed out to you. Have a wonderful day 😉
Unnamed Arkham prisoner being on this list is criminal. It had next to no impact for the movie and is extremely generic. I know you have some bad entries nowadays, but come on; do better.
The fact that Peter Stormare's incredible turn as Lucifer from the underappreciated "Constantine" didn't make this list is criminal!
Best incarnation of Lucy I’ve ever seen on screen.

Wait how do you put joker from the batman on but not lucifer from constantine? That's a top tier third act only character
Right!
King Richard - both the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Sean Connery) and Robin Hood: Men in Tights (Patrick Stewart). They each show up for the wedding at the end of their respective movies and steal the show.
'It's good to be the king!'
Sean Connery's Richard is exactly the one I was thinking of.
John Doe was actually seen several times in the background during the movie. You just don’t realize it the first time you watch it.
Yep!! He's seen as a photographer in the stairwell in the first murder, for example
Its said that the role of Kincaide (played by Albert Finney in Skyfall) was originally meant for Sir Sean Connery.
A nice rundown but I'm amazed that the English voiceover doesn't know that Ralph Fiennes pronounces his name RAFE.
It's a what culture weird game
Because yesterday, dingdongs told this same presenter that he pronounced it wrong when he pronounced it correctly.
Well, when all you are doing is cold reading a script (recording it without proof reading first) when his name comes up, you are more than likely going to say Ralph, because that's how it's written
Because of this pronunciation, I was wondering if the voiceover is AI. If it is, it's a pretty good facsimile.
In all honesty i would be added to that list of idiots who incorrectly pronounced his name incorrectly all this time. My apologies, i had no idea it was pronounced Rafe and not Ralph. Time to read more
"I'm sorry I called you an inanimate object. I was upset."
Script of this video payed a very complimented homage to In Brugge, so well deserves. Kudos!
Lost count of how many times these videos get cutt off at the end.
Either sack the editor or pay them more !
Why do your videos just cut off lately?
Because this channel is on it's last legs, and they are trying to keep people from leaving the video early so the channel gets the credit for a full watch, would be my guess
It didn't. "...is absolutely gut-wrenching." is the last line.
You forgot William Hurt in A History of Violence
Yeah, was thinking the same. He appears for only 5 minutes at the very end yet it was enough to net him an Academy Award. This one is absolutely missing here.
I forgot about him. Great character and great acting.
Woof, no Orson Welles in The Third Man?
Damn got cut off at the end

What yall dont don’t do outros anymore?
As of late, the editing has gotten sloppy. It would be nice if you would prioritize quality over quantity

how does dr. no from "dr. no" not make this list?
Top 10 movie characters who really thought they were the hero
Jack Burton (Big Trouble In Little China) 😁
Ralph isn't pronounced how it's spelled. It's pronounced "Rafe".
Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman
The narrator sounds like Jordan Peterson
Audio faded out too early, I would have a serious conversation with your audio editor/engineer, as this is not the first time..

Where is Luke Skywalker from Star Wars? I am disappointed!!

Anyone who is written to play opposite of Bond can call him that, or worse..... that's kinda the entire point of a script
