    Dear Paul:
My, friend Charles rescued a couple of plecostomus (Hypostomus plecostomus). Each was about a foot long. He kept them in a 55-gallon tank, for at least six months, which, frankly, was too small a tank, for them, along with a single, full-grown silver dollar (Metynnis argenteus). I convinced our, local, pet store, to purchase them and they both sold, within a few days. I do hope they went on, to good homes.
I see that you are having super-success with live, aquatic plants. I tend to shy-away, from species that eat live plants. But, Charles purchased so many, dime-sized angelfish that a few of his tanks were over-stocked, now that the angelfish are full-grown. So, I stocked one of my, two 75-gallon tanks, with angelfish. Plants don’t stand a chance, there now.
Thank you for sharing this encouraging and engaging video.
    All my best,
    Sincerely,
    E. J. Brinegar

awesome-I saved an Uaru years ago when i worked at an aquarium shop whilst at College. It was in one of the tanks at the back of the shop and brought in by a customer. One day I asked my Boss if I could have it and he let me take it for free. The whole time in the shop it was black and came in with bad finrot. We couldn't even identify what it was. A real state
Got it home, it coloured up and I ended up with a great Uaru

Ste is an absolute legend. You can tell how passionate he is about the hobby from the way he does things like this and rescues fish, and I can assume the margins in the hobby are quite fine at the moment. Those plants look really good, Ste gets the best range of aquadip plants from all the shops I know and his website makes it easy to buy them. I try to order from him as regularly as I can. Great video, Paul. Really enjoyed it, my mate!

Hi Paul , all your fish are looking great 👍👍 .Silver sharks are one of many fish that shouldn't be sold to unsuspecting fishkeepers; they are super active and grow too large for the average tank. Not fair that the shops have to 'pick up the pieces ' !!!! On a lighter note seeing that bloodworm reminds me of my early fishkeeping days (1960s) when most fish shops had a big tray of live tubifex under a running tap to keep it fresh - they sold it by the spoonful in a small plastic bag. Showing my age now 😂. Hope you're well and sending best wishes 🎹Peter🎹

Love your passion for fish, bud! Sadly, there are fish in the hobby that I don't think should be in the hobby, especially in the UK where we have lower temperatures and costs mount up for maintaining large aquariums (excluding yourself of course, I mean the average fish keeper). Although costs are coming down again (for a bit, anyway), it's still crazy compared to what it used to be. Those silver sharks are AMAZING! My old man always wanted a large silver shark; he could NEVER keep one alive for more than a few weeks, for some reason. I've never tried them myself, probably put off by his experience. (They aren't a hard fish to my knowledge; maybe it was the dodgy 80's UK supply?) I can definitely appreciate them though-definitely one of the bigger fish we would keep if we weren't nano people. We stocked our tanks a year ago almost with plants (video coming), and Sessiliflora grows insanely fast for us; literally, you can see the difference every day. We trimmed and threw a ton away yesterday (wish we knew you wanted some). I think you will have a lot of luck with this plant, buddy, if the fish are cool with it! Had some amazing red crypts for the last 8-9 months, then suddenly our zebra plecos decided they wanted to take it down. Zebra plecos are not meant to eat plants-who knew! You asked if we like videos where you go to the fish shop etc..... honestly, we really enjoy all your videos and never get bored or click off, we don't get to watch every single video sadly but most videos, my only criticism is ...... the TH-cam algorithm because you totally rock!!! ALWAYS learning from you! Keep moving forward; love ya, brother!

@@bigfishlad4847 Your too kind Paul! When we do our next stem plant clipping in about 2 weeks if you want us to post the cuttings over to you rather than throw them away let us know, probably worth about £60-£80 (we don't want anything for them), we have some amazing ludwigia super red and ludwigia dimond red, all grown without C02 so easy but GREAT reds! Up to you don't feel obliged or anything :)

Ste is a top bloke and his shop is excellent. Had a rescue Oscar in when I went in last. Good fish shops will do this and I think it's fantastic that they do. Maybe the decline in aquarist clubs means there is less trading for the larger fish or unfortunate circumstances. Great video

Bloodworm looks ace mate. Just turn the internal filter off for a few minutes when you drop them in so you don't waste any and have to clean the filter more often hey.
