I feel like Odyssey is like a fine wine, it gets better with time. Valhalla didn't click for me, but I find myself always coming back to Odyssey.

@@spicyp8477 Actually, the exploration in Valhalla is extremely boring, Odyssey's world was much richer and we had the awesome ship combat/exploration.
I bought AC odyssey a few weeks ago and seeing Ubisoft adding a new awsome DLC to it really made my day because I thought Ubisoft gave up on Odyssey.

The expansions for Odyssey are way better than Valhalla's. I really liked the Atlantis one since we finally get to see where all the Pieces of Eden in the previous games came from.

I like how this DLC gives the Eagle Bearer closure over their life in Greece, teasing potential story threads for the Origins and Valhalla settings, as well as other locations Kassandra could visit in the task given to her. Things come full circle, tying things off for how we know they are discovered later. The post-credits scene for the DLC is a huge hit of nostalgia, the landmark first shown had me gasping with recognition. The narrative twist that affects the gameplay two thirds in is a bold move, one that makes you change your play style for how much is changed. More than Fate of Atlantis, this feels more like the conclusion to the narrative of Odyssey, and that of the Eagle Bearer, Herodotos and Barnabas for their roles in it.
I agree with you 100% this was the perfect way to end the Greek saga to begin a new one.
Ricky Blaze It’s a shame it was done more as a cross promotion with Valhalla than to conclude Odyssey’s narrative and frame the Eagle Bearer more within the lore of the series. But two years after what we thought was the last piece of new Odyssey media, I’m still happy to have it.
Too bad nobody ends up reading the story of Kassandra due to the fire that burned the Great Library.
dvader518 We don’t know when she visited, and the Library is still standing in Origins with the fire not a part of that game. The TARDIS appears in Origins, so clearly the Mim haven’t attacked and Barbara and Susan not yet rescued the scrolls from the fire (the story titled The Library of Alexandria).
Hi! Cerberus charge, a weapon released with the update is un the Oikos of Olympians but without price so it can't be boght and UBISOFT don't gives me any real answer. Anyone else with this problem?
Odyssey is a game that will be appreciated more the older it gets, one of the best games ever. It has the "feel good" factor. Kassandra is my top character i have ever played along with Jill Valentine.
Odyssey is the only AC game I've platinumed, was in the mood to play it again not knowing they added new content so that was surprising lol. The gameplay feels so much better/smoother in Odyssey compared to Valhalla, made me miss it.

@@m.m.6615 last I checked I’ve done over 525hrs, which includes all side quests and dlcs, the game great and I love it. The only thing I would have changed is either Alexios becoming canon or Kassandra saving Alexios in canon so he can join the adventure to make up for previous crimes.

Going back to Odyssey has been such a treat. It makes me wish Valhalla hadn’t completely face-planted on the loot front. It’s such a turn off to go exploring for ages to find 3 keys for a submerged chest, and you finally pop it open and get… an ingot. Woo.

It’s scary to think that there’s thousands of ‘gamers’ defending Valhalla as being the best in the series, it’s the only one that I didn’t complete. I gave up at the 40 hour mark and still question my sanity as to why I played after the first couple of hours. You summed up one of the biggest issues that Valhalla had.
Another thing about Valhalla... it's too easy. I played the DLCs one after the other. In Odyssey I got killed by a grunt in two hits (though I don't play the OP hunter build), in Valhalla I didn't even block and just spammed light attack without any sublety or tactics and didn't even really take damage... why'd they make an endgame DLC with earlygame enemies anyway?
@@MarcelJ. Yes. Valhalla does feel very easy. I’m currently working my way through Hell on Hard mode Odyssey, and I’m getting my ass handed to me a lot.
@@Chronocrits Use a 100% crit build with the engraving that makes melee damage go in an area around you. I’m level 99 and play on nightmare difficulty with the highest scaling. I got so bored one shotting everything that I had to scale my build back and use a level 60 weapon I had sitting in my inventory and and then removed all engravings with extra crit damage along with the damage in area engraving. Now it takes 3-5 hits to kill everyone.
Odyssey was top 3 games of all time for me. I loved this game through and through.

Considering how Cassandra is functionally immortal for 2000 years it would make sense for the other crossovers to involve her and I think it would be a missed opportunity on Ubisoft part if they don’t do that.
Well with this they could revisit time settings.... And essentially do a "remake" with Cassandra as the protagonist. I mean imagine being back in the current gen REMAKE settings of UNITY, Rogue or Syndicate.....

Problem is that plenty of people chose Alexios as the main. It would make more sense for Alexios to lay low, considering he holds the power to destroy everything in his hands. Notoriety could spell doom for his destiny if the Order of the Ancients or the later Templars ever catch whiff of his immortal existence. Plus the other mains never show indication of a run-in with our legendary immortal demigod.

Perhaps working alongside these people but from a distance in a parallel story where she never meets or interacts with the characters. But I'd love the gameplay of the new AC in settings of Unity and Rogue
I'm like a baby gazelle in high heels trying to refamiliarize myself with the Odyssey controls. I had to go flip a few outposts to practice before doing the new content. I couldn't even remember how to block at first let alone perry. I've missed Odyssey though. Like a lot!
Same here lol! I also forgot how much more simple the game mechanics are in Odyssey compared to Valhalla. Which isn't a bad thing at all on Valhalla's part.
Getting to play these 2 games back to back though really makes you appreciate the different elements that makes both games great in their own ways

Fun fact: Knife of Dunwall was the name of a DLC for the first Dishonored, where you played as (master assassin) Daud instead of Corvo, the main protagonist :)
This is the BEST Christmas present from Ubisoft!! I am so so happy and thrilled!! Love Odyssey , spent more than 800 hours in the game in 2018 -2019 and carried it over to my PS5, so glad I can continue playing it!!! Yaaaaayyyyy

Odyssey is by far my favorite Assassins Creed game. YES I'm very biased due to my fashination with classical Greek mythology and history.
But still, the island as good of an idea it was, was too short. I thought there'd be a ton of more stuff to do. It didn't take me long to get everything done only to find out you can't go back there again.
All and all it was a decent update but I wouldn't have minded a bit more.
For me it made me realise just how much I know about Greek history and mythology. I knew nearly every character, historical event and myth that was referenced in-game. Not all them, but quite a lot. Half of the time it was boring and half of the time a little annoying when they changed or simplified those things a lot. Sometimes it is hard to tell if us players are supposed to had heard of Ancient Greece or not.
Man still remember the day i played this. It was after release day. Got home from college and started playing. Oh i admired beautiful structures,ocean,statues. 1 legendary weapon i got was posiden trident. I was level 16. Finishing game felt like saying goodbye to friend. U look back all old memories since u first met.
Odyssey has the most content and be seen of any game. I’m so happy when this new content came. I love the vacationing narrative .

Odessey AC is my favorite game by far, I like how interconnected it is to every other AC game, plus I absolutely love and enjoy listening to the music score created for this game, you can totally workout out to the tracks.

This. That opening music kicks in once you enter the main screen. It's so much better and livelier than Valhalla. I kinda miss the Odyssey music now that i'm playing Valhalla.
Also, loot the legendary bow and once you complete the 5 ancient (ainigmata ostraka) tablets there is another reward. The bow is easy to miss however check the player photos and you'll find it. I enjoyed this very much.
It was a fantastic update. The very ending gave me goosebumps! ❤🤘
part of me is expecting an update to origins next with another Kasandra mission, maybe that could give us more information on what she said about the hidden ones in Valhalla, and if they do make AC black flag remaster in the future they could release it with a Kasandra mission as well.
I’m hoping they do a few more expansions that involve Alexios/Kassandra travelling to find the ancient artifacts. Can’t get enough of this game
The spots on the globe add so much potential for future mission packs for Kassandra. One of them is in the middle of Australia. Given how the Classical era has manifested Isu power as mythological figures, that could be a visually intriguing experience.
@@jbcatz5 i hope they aren't lazy about it and just plop Kassandra into the already existing AC games (like her randomly showing up in Ezio or Altair's time) and make seperate stories if they do choose to do that.
@@HaliaStone There’s definitely potential in Kassandra being a neutral third party where Pieces of Eden are concerned, making sure neither Assassins nor Templars get them (Assassins have a better track record of not going crazy with the PoE though), but stepping in when Templar business infringes on the freedom of people. The franchise has done third party involvement before, like the Instruments of the First Will (aka the Let’s Resurrect Juno Club, at one point being enough of a threat for Assassins and Templars to call a temporary truce and work together), and in the audio drama Assassin’s Creed Gold there’s not even Templars or a PoE involved in the historic sections (Abstergo are active and antagonistic in the modern day though).
I'm still pretty new to gaming, and Odyssey was my first leap (pun not intended) into the AC franchise - it's amazing to see the story expanded and rounded off in a satisfying way! Valhalla is cool, but Kassandra and AC Odyssey will always have a special place in my heart.

You should play ac unity it's the best ASSASSIN creed in everything except story ( story isn't terrible but not as good as most others ) it have the best map which is masterfully designed

Combat is actually harder than modern ac trilogy and is fun to do
And every enemy is one hit kill with the hidden blade
They have a free dlc the dead kings which is a lot of fun
And my favourite part of the game the rift glitches
You get to explore 18 ,19 and 20 th century Paris
The reward system is fantastic too you get creed points for just being cool and creative
Air assassination headshot vanishing killing by blending with crowd all this satisfying stuff gets you the most ac pointa which can be used to upgrade gear
This is the only ac game with co op it's such a shame ubisoft didn't expand on the co op ( it's hard find people though )
You can get unity dirt cheap during any sale no more than 5$-10$
It's also set during the most important event in modern history or maybe history as a whole The French Revolution
There is a lot of stuff to do
This is the only Ac accompanied by black flag where you can spend hours doing nothing and just exploring for fun

@@ciara4087 Nothing has topped AC Black Flag for me until Odyssey came out a few years ago, Origins almost did but the combat felt too repetitive. If you haven’t already, definitely give Black Flag a try, the story, combat mechanics, stealth and sailing are all so refined and fun.

I hope they do one where she makes an appearance in Origins. When I played the hidden blades DLC, I was really sad that she had to give up her only child. It would be nice if she can meet her great-grandchild I get some closure at least.

I love that Odyssey got new content. I never really appreciated Odyssey until I played Valhalla. Valhalla is fun but Odyssey is so much better. I hope it gets more updates and content in the future.

I honestly didn’t think they’d update Odyssey anymore since the release of Vallahalla, but this is awesome to know! Ac Odyssey is one of my favorite Assassins creeds!
I was 120+ hours into odyssy when I saw this update right as it was added. It really refreshed my gameplay experience and made the game exciting to play again. I enjoy how they made a 'side quest' very enjoyable and enriching. It was also challenging and different from other side missions.

It's funny because i am playing Valhalla right now but i'm starting to miss Odyssey. Lo and behold another new content that i can play. I went back and finally finished Odyssey last year and it gave me so much nostalgia. With this new content, i will have a great time playing Kassandra once again.

Hey Jor, there's more that you missed for Odyssey. In the Store, in the Helix Credits section, the five hundred Helix pack has been replaced by a one-per-customer pack that gives five hundred credits *and* two new weapons, a sword and a spear shaped like lightning bolts.
This is something ive been wanting since Odyssey first launched and i found Posideon's Trident but i cant seem to find any gameplay or images of either weapon. Its almost as if nobody even knows it exists yet.

good content and i love the bug fixes, no longer getting the sound bug from multishot..but i noticed that engraving from the new dagger doesn't do crap but lower your health. it is bugged i guess cause you can still only assassinate out of combat like always
Just finished the 3 story and about to start the dlc when i got the update. It was awesome and I'm gonna really miss odyssey when i finish it.
It felt like Kassandra voice actor changed in a good way. She had a lot more different feeling while she spoke.
And the mocap and camera movements felt better as well.
This is great! Anything Ubisoft would or did add to any Assassin's Creed game is very welcome to me

the only bummer I found about this DLC is that Ubisoft kept it as Kassandra in the Valhalla and couldn't manage to make it either or depending on your choice. *grain of salt* 🙃
Kassandra is the canon Eagle Bearer, first confirmed in that she’s the protagonist of the novelisation. The Vacations DLC is still Layla’s Animus session with the DNA she got off the Spear of Leonidas, whereas the Valhalla DLC is her experiencing Eivor’s memories and the Odyssey gender choice doesn’t come into play.
After the Odyssey end credits really got me thinking with a big ole smile on my face
It's my first playthrough and after finishing Atlantis yesterday (Alexios' speech was that he was tired) I was pleasantly surprised that a vacation island was his next destination. Afterwards I'm finishing the First Blade episodes and then NG+.
I think Ubisoft should have put the armor Kassandra wears in Valhalla as a reward, as well as in Odyssey and Valhalla itself. In Valhalla's case it could be Odyssey's mercenary armor.
Yea, one of the most dissapointed thing in valhalla is they dont give odyssey signature outfit in valhalla which is weird because viking has the similar culture to spartan warrior. And the fact that odyssey is the closest game to calhalla yet odyssey is forgotten by ubisoft for not giving the signature outfit is pisses me off

Odyssey was the first AC game I played and also the only game I've ever played for 24hrs straight because of how hooked up on it I was. I know a lot of people hated it because it wasn't AC game for them but I find myself coming back to this game, I just love it so much
Hi! Cerberus charge, a weapon released with the update is un the Oikos of Olympians but without price so it can't be boght and UBISOFT don't gives me any real answer. Anyone else with this problem?

Beware of a glitch in the engraving list caused by Korfu! By experimenting with various saves across Korfu, it wiped more and more of my engravings as I solved treasures and gained Korfu engravings. I lost: Armor Penetration, Falx (100% damage), 25% damage on Elites and Bosses, 25% on Conquest Battles, arrow damage above targets. None of the Korfu engravings are worth this. Recommend everyone with a substantial engraving list revert to a Dec. 14th save, then never accept the purple vacation on Kephallonia. Forget the vacation, unless you bounce back to your pre-vacation save, then continue. There's a huge amount to lose.
If you have already placed an engraving on an object, it stays. But the engravings vanish from the list when going to engrave at the blacksmith. In other words, you now have all the Falx swords you're ever going to have. Run and revert to Dec. 14.
I just got ac Odyssey last week for my birthday and I just finished the war with spartans vs Athens and I'm really loving it best ac game I've played so far. 👍
Playing through Horizon II, which has been fun; then going to play Odyssey again, my all time favorite game. Still haven't finished Valhalla, lost interest. Don't know if I will, but now I see Kasandra makes an appearance, I'll have to reconsider. Love, love, love Odyssey and Origins.

If not its all good, though I hope Valhalla next dlc has new achievos. So far they all have had some new ones, though I may wish to speak with you about it. Heard they are redesigning the whole game with this new dlc, hope it doesn't affect our saves we already played.....
Idk if this is public yet but I discovered that some of riddles (the ancient tablets you get from looting areas or outposts) on the island give you new legendary perks once you solve them. I got one that increases fire duration. Idk what that does, like increase the duration enemies on on fire (not that impressive since some other perks already do that) or increase the duration your weapons stay on fire when you light them (that could be useful if).

Listen y'all, I got the new weapon pack in Odyssey really quickly. Wanted to try to get it at Sargons shop by buying the Orichalchum merchandise and sometimes I would get notifications about server problems. When that happened I left the shop and found that the new weapons appeared in my inventory. I never officially bought them from the store because I didn't have enough helix credits but I do have them in my inventory now.

Could Kassandra be assassin's Creed infinity? Like, she can make her appearances now in all the contexts of time. If eivor and Kassandra crossed paths, we could maybe obtain something with her DNA to put in the Animus. Or it gets drawn from the staff - after 2 millennia that thing sure has some kind of connection to her, and if it is just Allethias memories of her.
Wish Origins would get some love...
With the post-credits scene, showing Kassandra interact with the Origins characters would be amazing. I’d buy a comic series of Kassandra through the ages, watching and interacting with the Assassins we’ve known, loved and played as, the legacy of the Brotherhood before there was a brotherhood.

Bought Valhalla 3 days ago and to hear about these huge updates reignited that AC itch that's been dormant awhile.

This is awesome cause I was planning to start this soon as I finally have some vacation time to play it during.
Ubisoft really needs to add a new game+ to Valhalla. I really want to play the game again, but have zero desire to find the good weapons and grind for the upgrades. Now there's nothing to do in Valhalla except wait until March 10th. All the side missions, mysteries, festivals and mastery challenges don't really interest me. They're kind of boring filler. I want to play the main story again with my awesome gear one weapon of which I can only get at the end of the game. I'm rocking the two pronged spear from the druid expansion plus Mjollnir and it's an awesome combo. Spear on the left hammer in the right hand if anyone is wondering. Fortunately I can just cancel my Uplay+ membership until then. With all the hours I got out of Odyssey it was worth the $100. I liked Valhalla, but I'm glad I played it but subscribing to a couple months of Uplay+.
With this update odyssey become better imo.
Now you can feel more his place into the franchise instead of being force

Thank you for the heads up! I personally love Origin more than Odyssey but it's kind of hard not to be attached when I've spent literally 5 months with it. (Cuz I'm a horrible gamer and can't do anything without dying at least twice. Falling off a high cliff onto a bear and boar fight club was...wow, really unfortunately on my part.)

Thanks, I had no idea there was an update! Odyssey is my first and by far favorite AC game, and The Fate of Atlantis is probably the best DLC I've seen. AC Valhalla confirmed to me that Kassandra is the right character to play as; it always looked wierd to me when I would see it the other way around.
With some of the abilities you get on the DLC makes you extremely OP. That sunhat was attainable from a Mercenary you kill; I've had it quite awhile ago when I played a new game+.
This game deserves a sequel !!
Odyssey is my favorite AC game after the Ezio trilogy. I could play new content of it forever.

Odyssey DLC 10/10, Valhalla DLC 3.5/5 my score, Valhalla's dlc was short and anticlimactic with a weird thing that is never explained but Odyssey was the best.
