- This episode describes the last days of the Blessed Virgin Mother through the visions of Blessed Anne Catherine as recorded in the journal of Clement Brentano (edited by Very Rev. C.E. Schmöger, CSSR, published in 1914) narrated by Patti Brunner of Truth of the Spirit. Mary’s Last Days includes descriptions of Mary’s house in Ephesus, her death and her Assumption. Excerpts are taken from “The Lowly Life and Bitter Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Blessed Mother, Volume IV”.

Where in scripture does it mention Mary's assumption?
Scripture did not record the Assumption of Mary so we depend on Apostolic Tradition for our belief. Scripture gives every indication that such a thing could occur with the stories of Enoch (Hebrews 11:5), Elijah (2 King 2:11), Genesis 5:24 and Matthew 27:52. Always believed by the Church, the Church "defined" the belief in doctrine in 1950 codifying a belief which always existed in the Church and was expressed in the writings of the early Church Fathers.
@@TruthoftheSpirit I see. I was listening intently to the stories or visions when I came across the purgatory statement and flet stumped. The Assumption vision or story seems quite plausible seeing all of what Mary accomplished and for her integrity and closeness with God. She was surely blessed. I did have an open eyed vision when I thought I was dying and was visited by both Jesus and Mary.
Her death? What?! That's CRAZY! Where's her grave? I heard that the grave of the Virgin Mary has never been found!
(Because after Jesus was resurrected, he found his mother and was taken to heaven by her Son (Jesus)
and never experienced a physical death!)
This episode was taken from the visions of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich. Pope Pius XII solemnly defined in "Munificentissimus Deus" on Nov. 1, 1950, that "the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever-virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory." The Byzantine Emperor Mauritius (582-602) established the Feast of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Aug. 15 for the Eastern Church, which celebrated our Lady's death and assumption. The Catechism, quoting the Byzantine Liturgy, states, "The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin is a singular participation in her Son's resurrection and an anticipation of the resurrection of other Christians: 'In giving birth you kept your virginity; in your Dormition you did not leave the world, O Mother of God, but were joined to the source of Life. You conceived the living God and, by your prayers, will deliver our souls from death'" (No. 966).
At around minute 45:37 she states upon the couch but her lips say upon the cross. Why do you think this is?

Where is purgatory in scripture?
The Bible teaches than an intermediate state of purification exists. The Church calls it Purgatory. See Matthew 12:32, 1 Corinthians 3:15, 1 Peter 3:18-20 and 1 Peter 4:6, 2 Maccabees 12:44-45. Other verses that are tied to understanding the concept of purgatory are: 2 Samuel 12:13-14, 1 John 5:16-17, James 1:14-15, Isaiah 6:3, Matthew 5:48, 1 Peter 1:15-16, Hebrews 12:14, and Revelation 21:27. The word "purgatory" is not in scripture; it is a word of the Church who discerned the concept as doctrine much like the concepts of the Incarnation and Trinity (words also not found in the scripture.) @@TruthoftheSpirit In Peter 3 He is referring to the Nephilim fallen angels (because it says Spirits). And as of today these Spirits have not been purified. They are only imprisoned in the earth below waiting to come out.
