In this video, Alister walks you through building a master client database client application on Windows with VCL and FireDAC.
One of the defining characteristics of Delphi and C++Builder is how easy it makes it to work with data. I love how quickly applications can be built in RAD Studio, sometimes requiring hardly any coding at all. In this demonstration, Alister builds a database with a master-detail relationship (Customers and Orders), a lookup field, and a form for adding new customers-all with only six lines of code-and does it in less than eight minutes while explaining every step from a fresh install of RAD Studio.
