- 25/02/2016 - Foxes make some cool sounds! Here we can see a badger happily eating peanuts until the foxes (male in shot, female out of shot on right) start causing a commotion. The local dogs don't like it either!

It appears in this case that the female is making all the noise!
Oh and the distant bird sounds near the end are the resident Little Owls getting in on the action!

I like how alert the badger is AT 3.03 when he detects there's something out there. Pausing and sniffing the air and listening carefully. Then the fox calls, and he's "Nah it's just the fox" CHOMP, CHOMP, CHOMP....
Yeah they are quite used to being around each other, the foxes and badgers, and tend to tolerate each other mostly.
Foxes are the strangest creatures EVER when it comes to their yelps, howls, and callings. Whatever you here, you don't think "THAT MUST BE A FOX!" unless you know better.

It’s currently 1am and i got so fucking scared when i heard a scream outside my window. Now i am here, realising it was a fox. Literally thought it was making noises again but realised it was just this video haha.

I take my Mountain Feist and Chihauhau out at 5:30 in the morning every morning, 1 at a time. I’ve lived in the foothills of N.C. all of my life, and I’ve never been so scared of something, especially when u can’t see it. I turn on my outside porch light and I’ve NEVER REALLY BOTHERED TO take a flashlight 🔦 with me. My lil 4 1/2 lbs male Chihuahua named Stubby who thinks he is a great big Mastiff wanted to go around to the back yard for some odd reason, I didn’t turn on the back porch light. He’s doing his business and all of a sudden (mind u it’s pitch black with a tiny crest moon 🌙). Hear the most blood curdling scream just maybe 30 yards away 😬. My lil bad Stubby, comes and hunkers down in between my legs whimpering and whining shaking terrified. I picked him up and stood there in pure fear. The screaming is getting closer so after I was able to make my legs move I ran in the house with my lil Stubby in tow with me. As soon as I came in I turned around locked the door grabbed my phone and started looking at the back yards camera. I never saw anything. My husband heard the scream and was coming outside to check on me and I met him at the door almost giving me a heart attack. He asked what was that screaming noise? I told him I didn’t know so after some digging and watching listening to TH-cam videos I found what it was. I feel so stupid for being so scared of a female fox 🦊 and also it was mating season for foxes in my area. Honestly I’ve never been scared of animals wild or tame but what does scare me is the way a lot of people are, especially in the world we live in today. God Bless and please live and let live. FYI: I take a great big light up the whole yard flash light with me when I take them outside in the mornings now 🤣🤣🤣

Just been woken up by that sound. Was like who's being attacked out side?.... I keep hens. Shone my phone torch outside my window and there was foxey looking up at me and my neighbours cat a few feet away. Great video thanks. My hen's are safely locked up lol!

I think in this case it is a mating thing, but i have read that they can scream in other situations too.

This camera is no longer available - but it was basically a 1080p PTZ CCTV IP Network camera. If you look at the newest videos on this channel, you will see these use a Hikvision DS-2DE4220IW-DE and you can see the quality is similar. Hope this helps.

Yeah badgers are noisy eaters! The camera is an outside network camera - so plugs into (and is powered by) the local network and is controlled by a laptop.
So you are controlling the camera ? It isn’t being controlled by motion activation?

UK wildlife cam , what is your camera set -up please .
Camera model number is in the description (usually...on newer clips anyway) but it is a IP network PTZ camera so connected to our home computer network - controlled by a laptop.

Hi - sorry for late reply...I think this camera was a Sunba PanTiltZoom IP Network camera (powered and run by a network cable). Not sure if it is still available. I tend to use Hikvision PTZ cameras at the moment.

Why do foxes make so much noise. I noticed a small one hes soo cute and i worry if hes managed to eat enough but he looks young he hid and the other one carried on screaming i think. Why do they do that? I dont mind i just dont want them to be in pain or anything
It's not pain, it is just an interesting trait that foxes have. We would guess in this case it is part of the courtship between the male and female.

UK Wildlife Cam wow! I have a cheap deer cam that suppose to take video but it’s not. All I get are snap shots and they’re not very clear. I’ve seen or heard most of our wildlife here but I caught a raccoon and a fox that I’ve never actually seen. I’ve heard to fox but never seen it. I only paid about $30 for it.
@@Wilddaylilies I see, i guess you probably mean a trail cam? They are a bit hit and miss indeed. And yeah these PTZ cameras are a lot more expensive. This was more like $300
UK Wildlife Cam yes a Victure HC200. I bought it to see if I could catch coyotes in my yard. There are a lot here. Plus I find where something will pee on our trash can. A male something lol but I’ve not seen one yet. I’ll also find poop in the word eat places. I haven’t heard them at night in awhile. I’m sure they’ll circle back here in the fall. I leash walk my dogs and they always catch their scent. 👍
