    REMINDER: Do not do any of the suggestions in the video if your pc is newly built! I suggest just go back to the local store where you get if from and let them fix it! If ever they can't just get your Rma.
    If you guys are looking for a no monitor signal fix check this video out! th-cam.com/video/F-dLBIomghY/w-d-xo.html

      Same for me lol. I actually just skipped that part and was thinking of going giving it to someone to check other power supplies (thought that was the issue). And then i saw your comment and tried it. I thought no way it would be that simple plus i didn’t really see any dark spots on the ram but tried anyway with eraser and cotton ear things to remove the eraser. Thanks to the Mac and to you for commenting !!

    Thanks so much! I was worried asf thinking my computer was broken but in reality just needed a cleanup (haven’t cleaned it since July 2018 when I got it) . After I cleaned it up it stopped restarting but randomly wouldn’t boot to windows and I opened BIOS and was able to boot windows from there and it updated an restarted my pc and everything seems fine now. Guess this was a wake up call to why I should take care of my computer better.

      @@MacCoyzkie so I recently got a virus on my PC so I hard reset it to whipe all my data then my PC just kept turning on and off so I tried the ram method and that didn't work is it possible that the virus messed up my entire PC or am I missing something

    • @MacCoyzkie
      @MacCoyzkie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hello-4503 i think the only pc component that a virus can destroy are your drives and if the virus is really potent it could also destroy your motherboard. I haven't heard of a virus destroying the processor, gpu and rams. In your case you could never get to backup your files and the only solution is have a clean installation of windows. On the other hand, also consider the solutions in this video before doing a clean installation of windows

    • @MacCoyzkie
      @MacCoyzkie  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Tray if there is any that is a bit scary but i haven't experience something like that and hopefully will never experience it. Also i doubt that this is possible since motherboard bios are different from each manufacturer and there is no way a virus could download the latest bios for a specific motherboard, run it and shut itself down to destroying the motherboard. Plus i don't think flashing bios using your boot drive is possible, it needs to be in a specific usb port (with "flash bios" indication) to update a bios at least for the motherboards of 2021

    Very important: I just had this problem and even more lot of times the pc was starting but no display at all, sometimes boot loop. I checked the cpu and I noticed there was some green plasticky residues on the contacts pads, I removed them with a needle and this probably solved the problem. I say probably because I did this few minutes ago but I believe it will work fine now because every pin on the cpu has different functions and those residues were probably causing current interruptions between cpu and motherboard.

    PLEASE READ UPDATE BELOW FOR SOULTION THAT ENDED UP FIXING THIS ISSUE FOR ME!!!
    (initial post) From my most recent experience with a PC that would reboot, I learned that the easiest thing to do before you start looking into the hardware is to first look at certain drivers. I had a PC that would reboot periodically while gaming. I thought I had an issue with my CPU cooler. I replaced it with a better cooler, but that didn't fix the problem.
    What I did was download a monitoring software called HWinfo and GPU/CPU load testing program called Cupid Powermax. I would first start the monitoring process with HWinfo and then start load testing the CPU. As soon as I started the test for the GPU, my PC would reboot. This happened every time I ran both load test together. My first guess was that I had an issue with the graphics card, but I decided to uninstall the drivers and then reinstall them. That seems to have fixed the rebooting issue. I'm not sure if I had corrupt drivers or not, but my guess is that a Windows update may have caused this issue a while back with their last big update.
    UPDATE!! What actually ended up fixing the issue was to reinstall Windows 10. That was many months ago and the issue hasn't even happened again.

If reseating the ram doesn't work use a screwdriver, make sure the power supply is still plugged in but turn the switch off, press the power button a few times to make sure its off. Hold the screwdriver on the 2 pins sticking out where it says CMOS on the motherboard usually on the lower right or left for 15 seconds then try to turn it back on. Wether or not I get a response, I dont know but worth the shot. Had this problem where suddenly my pc shut itself on, even did the "shutting down" screen. Turned it back on, and after a little while of running again it turned off again. Then, it did the constant off and on rebooting. I talked with a friend who is pretty knowledgeable about computers and he came over to check it out. Long story short, we checked a few different things eventually resulting in taking out one of the ram sticks, then swapping to check the other which got the computer to boot up normally. Used it for some time, updated and played a couple games and everything seemed okay, so figured maybe one of the ram sticks wasn't good. Came home from work today and noticed the ssd light was on which isn't normally on when the computer is powered off normally which I did the night before. So, back to square one, I searched and found this video. Tried the first few steps and after seeing the bit about cleaning the ram sticks I figured that made sense as messing with them seemed to make a difference previously. Did that, tried both at the same time, 1 at a time and swapping them 1 at a time and still no progress. Curious if anyone maybe sees this comment if they could have anymore input as to what other thing to try. I can still check other components but I'm quite positive based on what happened previously, it has something to do with the ram. Thanks in advance for any comments

    • @MacCoyzkie
      @MacCoyzkie  ปีที่แล้ว

      if you already clean the ram sticks the way it was suggested in the video and still doesn't work, i suggest try those ram sticks in your friend's pc and see how it goes. If it worked normally after some tests then this could be a motherboard ram slot issue, maybe hardware or it just needed dust cleaning. Obviously if your friend's pc with your ram sticks didn't work then that could be your ram sticks.

I've tried a lot of different things such as reinstalling windows, doing malware scans, disk clean up, and disk defragment, all which is due to me thinking its a software issue, but it wasn't. For my final attempt I ended up actually opening up my computer and cleaning the hardwares. to my surprise there was A LOT of dust inside, especially on my fans. After cleaning and dusting off my computer then putting everything back in. The computer finally stopped having random freezes and restarts. Go to your Bios and disable C6-C7 state or C-State.

      Max SHOW go to your bios and search for the low power state options called C-States or c1,c2,c3 etc and disable them rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?82305-How-to-Disable-C-State-for-CPU-in-BIOS

    It’s so weird my pc restarts randomly Unless I’m playing a game then it stays on just fine. I don’t know if that means anything, it’s just odd to me. I have replaced power supply that didn’t work. I have taken ram out and put back in(I haven’t tried the eraser thing which I will do today) I have checked for overheating as well. Anyway thanks for the video I will try all of the options in the video that I haven’t tried yet and see if I can fix it. I’m praying it’s not a motherboard issue! 🤞

      i think your pc is fine even with your old psu, also it's weird that restarts happens on desktop tasks. This is just a theory but there might be a random program on your system tray or start up that is running that is causing the restart after update or something. This happened to me long time ago and i just simply disable then uninstalled. try checking your task manager>processes and see if there is any program causing so much use of your cpu/memory/gpu

      Mac Coyzkie thanks for the reply. I will try that and see if possibly it is just a program causing a high cpu usage. But yea I agree it’s very odd lol.

      Mac Coyzkie i have a problem with my PC whenever I play a high fps game like Modern warfare it completely shuts down before the game ends and restarts again, and the worst part is that the PC is new and it’s starting to have problems already :(

    • @MacCoyzkie
      @MacCoyzkie  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@keeper5024 temps are going beyond the limit for the gpu. Usually happens in triple A games. I suggest lower your settings a bit, use msi afterburner to check the temps, open your pc case during gaming.

      Mac Coyzkie sadly it’s not the temperature, it doesn’t even reach 70 whenever I try to play cod however tho i did put a framerate limit and that somehow fixed the issue but i still think there’s something wrong with my motherboard because i just brought my 2000 dollar pc and it hasn’t been a week yet since all the parts arrived

    Faulty power button can also trigger this issue.
    Huge catch with this one, if the switch sticks in the on position it can fry the motherboard.

    i have just bought a new and better 80 gold power supply and it still restarts, new ram, new graphics card, I even brought it to a store for them to diagnose it, they concluded with the power supply, so it's changed, but still it happens to me... I'm just wondering, is it possible that the cables can be squeezed so that it doesn't give all the power it should? could the outlet be the issue?

    • @MacCoyzkie
      @MacCoyzkie  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      wait.. when they diagnose it were they able to make it work in their pc shop or not? if it worked in their shop there might be a problem in your power outlet, low power draw at times causes pc restarts. btw also double check the front panel connection perhaps the power on was placed in the reset. more info here th-cam.com/video/LxRzL5WFB9c/w-d-xo.html

    guys if these steps doesnt work that means your motherboard is short or the pins on the back side of the motherboard are making contact with the metal plate or something conductive. Eliminate any contact of the motherboard with the conductive material and try again it worked for me.
