Thank you for this! I've been having random reboots in gaming for a long time now and I narrowed the problem down to being the GPU or PSU. I took your advice and replaced my Corsair HX1000i and swapped it out with a Seasonic PSU. No more random reboots when gaming after the replacement
My own solution took 2 years to track down!! I had no-end to this problem, (Power Surge detected due to something or other) - over the period of at least 2 years whilst using a Cooler Master case UNTIL!!! (please read this to the bottom)! I went out and paid through the nose for another power supply unit after being led to believe, - by the Asus message, and many other people suffering with the same issue; - that the the 'Power Surge' message was referring to some problem with either the power unit - The mains electricity supply - or the multi-socket surge detector plug socket?? I constantly detached graphics cards and wires and cleaned terminals as a matter of course - all without success - nothing stopped this horrendously annoying problem and after fitting the new power unit - nothing changed!! Now (a couple of hundred bucks down after buying a new power supply unit: - which I DIDN'T NEED TO PURCHASE) - and almost loosing it on many occasions due to the sheer number of times this power surge problem was occurring, - I suddenly remembered my Mother board has a start and a re-set button - perhaps I should plug the power supply direct to the Mother board - maybe it's something to do with the link between the power supply and the power button on the case (the 20 or 24 pin adapter - which is bespoke to this particular case)??? I detached the bespoke 20 or 24 Pin Power adaptor Cable from the power supply unit and mother board and plugged the power supply unit chord directly into the mother board - (BY DOING THIS I WAS LEAVING MYSELF WITH THE PROBLEM OF NOT HAVING A WORKING 'POWER' BUTTON ON THE COOLER MASTER CASE)! For the last year I have simply used the Mother board power button (with a long non-conductive stick) - through the grill of the case as a long-term 12 month test; - guess what, - not a single power down due to power surges!! The problem for me must have been the 20 or 24 Pin Adapter cable and power button on the Cooler Master case? Hope this is useful to some of the thousands of people out there with the same issue?
I'm literally having the same exact issue with the same damn power supply and I just built my pc 2 days ago. It just randomly restarts when I'm playing a game, no blue screen, no error codes, nothing, just a black screen and a reboot.
I just want to thank you for posting this video! I was troubleshooting random reboots on a pinball machine which also uses a Corsair power supply. The reboots on your video looked exactly like what I was experiencing, so I got a new supply and....so far it looks like the problem is solved! I am very grateful for your video, thanks!!
Just replaced mine with an EVGA 750 GQ, 80+ Gold, 750W. Another awesome thing about this PSU - It straight up FRIED one of my HDD's, too! Never getting a Corsair PSU again.

this was both helpful and sort of frightening, I've had my cx 750m for about a month now and havent had any problems but its good to know that if something happens there's a likely origin
It happens to me even when I'm just watching a movie not only by playing a heavy game like horizon zero dawn, So what i did is i removed my gpu that is gtx 1660 super Evga and tested my pc with the integrated onboard graphics that is intel hd 4600 nothing happens even when playig light games but when i plug in my gpu that is gtx 1660 super pc keeps restarting itself with a buzzing noise/sound. @@juniordarilson2300 soo, did you fix your problem? that's exactly the same problem i'm facing right now. I have a rtx 2060 and a shitty Kcas 500W haha, i think i'm gonna switch to a corsair 650w
We had a similar problem recently and I would have never expected it to be the pc power supply. But it was making a strange sound so we replaced it and only now I found your video. It's great that you share with us because sometimes you can get crazy looking for the cause. Thanks from Poland
Having the complete same problem for 7months straight. Thought i fixed it like 5 times in a row. Was gonna buy new ram but saw this video. Might go for a psu instead. Thank you so much!
I was having this problem with the same power supply! Today my new power supply came in and I can get past my crash point and play all my games and have been playing np!
I'm having the exact same problem with my PC. I ended up replacing my monitor cable only to see that the problem still exists. I searched for videos on how to solve the problem until I found this. Thank you bruh! You're a life saver.
I also have same restarting issue, and also the back of my computer, specifically around power supply area emits weird smell, so I think it is power supply problem, I am glad I can confirm it here, thanks
This just happened to me. PC would restart after launching a game. I did my own research and thought it was a power supply issue. I replaced it and my PC now works. After days of trying to figure out the problem and finally solving it, I now got this video on my page and it even used the same CX750M power supply I had. This would’ve saved me time if I saw this from the beginning.
oh my God that solved the problem I just disabled C1E and voila no more shut down or restart I havec6/c7 and c10 state also shud I disable them or not as pc is stable now.....
Great video, I had a similar problem but it would power off and restart randomly even just idle maybe once every hour , my trouble shooting came down to dust build up inside the PSU, I cleaned the whole system with compressed air, a brush to dislodge it too, it was fairly clean but the problem was just the same, after much fustration trying to work out which component was failing I got a can of Electrical contact spray cleaner and litterally sprayed the entire system including inside the PSU so the whole system was dripping wet but super clean, its safe its non conductive, so after a few hours when it was all evaporated it worked! and has not restared ever since. I'm guessing some dust can become conductive in large amounts and that was shorting somthing.
I was faced with the same problem and after this video, I replaced the power supply and now, no problems! The power supply was a whole lot cheaper than replacing GPU that other videos pointed to.
Thank you for this video, this was the most relatable video I found to confirm that it was the power supply. Upon closer inspection, I found out signs of oxidisation on the PSU, and crashes occurred when power demanding applications were turned on.
Mine literally went up in smoke when I wasn’t at my pc. Lucky the smoke alarm didn’t go off. As I was going upstairs on my way to the pc room there was a nasty smell. The PS was burned. The PS was 14yo lol. It worked fine until then.
thank you for this video, I found it 1.5 years after it was posted and also after I spent weeks trying to figure out my problem. Sadly, I already figured it out and THEN I found your video lol. anyway, here is how it happened for me: I have an intel i3-8100, RX 5700, H310m-PRO VD, 16 GB ram at 2666 Mhz, and a cooler master elite 600w when I play games for more than an hour my PC freezes with very loud buzzing in the speakers, I have to restart from the case button. I thought it was a motherboard issue, I tried upgrading the motherboard bios, but something interrupted it and it failed mid-way, so the whole system stopped working. I sent the motherboard to a computers expert who replaced the bios and got it working again, and I also got an SSD just in case. Installed a new windows on the SSD (to make sure it isn't a windows issue) and copied my online games there, etc. I ran memtest86 and there were no errors on the memory (they are brand new sticks). After playing games for a while it happened again, this time I thought it was an overheating issue, so I just removed the side panel from the case to give it more air. It kept me going for a longer time but eventually it happened again. I was so mad I am in an air conditioned room so I can't see why it would even overheat. I bought a big CPU cooler that kept my CPU under 55 degrees and was confident that the problem is fixed.... but BOOM, again, freeze and loud buzzing and I had to hard restart. so I decided to test everything thoroughly. I installed MSI afterburner and used its OSD function to monitor everything. I played games and noticed that the PC froze when the CPU reached 52 degrees and GPU reached 80 degrees. I installed Heaven benchmark and set everything on ultra, PC froze at CPU 40+ degrees and GPU 80 Degrees. I set the GPU fans to maximum to see if it will crash when the GPU slowly reached 80 degrees, and also so it would draw more power from the PSU. I ran the benchmark, this time the freeze happened at GPU temp of 67 degrees and CPU temp of 39 degrees !!! now I was sure it wasn't a component issue and it was definitely the PSU. and now that I found your video, I am 100% certain it is a PSU problem. there are hundreds of people having this issue on the internet and none of them knows the fix, I hope my story helps any of you who is still searching, try running tests yourself to be certain. and good luck out there gamers.
Thanks man, really informative and helpful comment. I'm having the exact same problem with my low-end psu and about to upgrade to a new one. Your existence is glorious
@@bawnsy6968 glad to help bro, I was frustrated when no one on the internet knew the answer, even big tech forums like tom's hardware!!. I also want to add that I recently tested lowering the power of the GPU and running a benchmark. I found that the system runs normally when the gpu power consumption is at 60% only! so that PSU can't run the GPU at its full power at all.
@@bawnsy6968 I used Radeon software as I have an AMD card. you can use MSI afterburner it can tune the power as well. but make sure you are lowering power and not voltage, as voltage can mess things up
Just wanted to throw in a very late thanks for this. Had a PC with the same issue using the fully modular version of the same PSU. This helped confirm for me that was the issue. But I actually got it to start working again just by turning off the "hybrid" function that it came with set to on by default. Now the fan runs constantly and I haven't had a single crash in weeks. So if anyone else happens to see this, hope it helps.
Glad you found your fix for this issue! I've had this problem for 3 months now. Replaced my PSU with a new one from EVGA, still having the same prob. Tried a known good set of RAM and a good GPU as well but still doing this. Starting to wonder if my motherboard is the actual cause.
@@endergamer794 Asus STRIX X470 F-Gaming. Talked to Asus and they agree it sounds like a motherboard problem and they are in the process of a RMA for me. I put my 2700X in a different board and it ran flawlessly.
If you’re seeing this in 2021, REPLACE THE POWER CABLE with the one that comes with the power supply. I was just using the same old power cable from the old supply not thinking there was a difference. I was searching everywhere for what the issue could be. I was packing it up to return the power supply. And noticed the power cable that came with power supply was a lot thicker than my old one. The new power cable could be a thicker gauge wire to accommodate the current flow the new power supply needs. USE the power cable that comes with the power supply. Hope this helps.
Thanks for this video! Have the exact same issue with you, and I’m guessing it’s my PSU (Corsair TX650M). Used OCCT to stress test and it crashes after less than 10 mins. Hopefully Corsair RMA isn’t too slow.
Thought my PC was on its way out. Probably CPU/memory. With random restarts could be anything. Saw this video and had a spare PSU. Gave it a shot and my PC is stable again. Thanks HealMyTech!
I'm having the exact problem with my Antec EAG 750 Pro, except now the PC won't turn on at all. Initial stage: PC used to restart randomly while I was playing The Witcher 3 Later stage: PC used to turn off and won't start for a while, PSU became like some kind of a battery where it needs some initial charge to turn on. Now if I unplug the system for a few hours, it will take around 15-18 hours to turn on. Now: PC does not turn on. Luckily I got a warranty on both Mobo and PSU, so I have given the Mobo for warranty, awaiting their reply. Edit: Excellent TH-cam channel!
It would be very interesting to put an oscilloscope on each of the power supply outputs in turn to see whether there was a spike or voltage drop-out the moment it crashed, or whether the output had excess ripple or noise. Does it always crash after about the same length of time, or is it completely random? But in practical terms, your best bet is probably just to swap out all the electrolytics. It would then be very instructive to test them all with one of those bare board ESR testers you can get ridiculously cheaply from Far Eastern sellers.
Hi Philip thanks for inputting. The crash is random. If you missed the other tests I did since this video was published, DC voltage on 24 PIN, 8 PIN CPU, and 12 PIN GPU plugs all yield relevant 3.3v, 5V, and 12V within acceptable margins. Fuses tested okay, all caps look okay physically, no signs of anything burnt, at least to my limited assessment. Even what you mentioned as test is beyond my ability at the moment. So I guess you sort of volunteered to do the test for us, and I will be casually producing that tutorial video, cool...I'll be in touch...!
I just noticed you have almost identical PC to mine, like completely except for the Motherboard. Everything else is exactly the same as I built 4-5 years ago. The graphics card, the CPU, even the exact same RAM and case. I know some people might think this is a combination of the worst components ever but its served me well for so long and I don't regret it. BTW love the channel brother, keep up the good work.
@@jokerdz7501 The only way to fix it is buying a new one, or change the capacitors on the rails that you have problems, an the last option dosen't assures that will work
just want to say thank you so much for this. my pc has been restarting everytime i play games for weeks. thought it was either gpu or motherboard problem but this video helped me. changed my psu from cooler master to seasonic and the restarts in games stopped. thank you so much
So far THIS IS an amazing video, never knew that a power supply COULD cause an issue!!! The problem I am having is, on a Windows 10 machine, with a Gigabyte/ Intel Core i5 motherboard CPU combo, and at around one and a half to two hours, my computer WILL randomly shut down, then reboot automatically without any input or reason for doing so!! The odd thing is, my power supply is literally brand new out of the box, BUT it is a lower quality 400 watt, power supply! The basic function of this PC was built to act as a Windows ONLY media server, using the Windows File Sharing Feature, to serve files across my network! Like your set up, I am running an SSD as my main OS drive, and 4 other drives (all of them SATA) for file storage!! SO this computer is basically "set up" to just sit at idle most of the time!! I KNOW I should upgrade the 8 gigs of RAM to at least 16 gigs, as one hard drive IS a 6 terabyte drive and two others are 3TB drives (the other drives two are 500gb). BUT I was hoping to get some use out of this until I can afford more RAM!! BUT like I say, every hour and a half to two hours, the computer randomly shuts down and reboots!! SO I might have to swap the power supply out!!! Thank you for the video just the same though!! Great work my friend!!!
I'm having the same issue, so yeah i do frequent research about this problem and it turns out the majority said is the PSU problem when I play heavy games with GTX1060 with PSU Silverstone ET-650W it suddenly restarts. Guess I should buy a new one and I'll update if anything works fine..
I've had that same exact problem, with the 850 version of Corsair power supply. I checked Event Viewer, which seemed to indicate a power problem. Also ran Memtest86 to make sure it wasn't the Ram. My power supply was almost 10 years old though, so I got good life out of it.
Ugh, my CX550M has started doing this, went from once a day to every 5 minutes. Having to do an RMA on it, sadly i dont have spare PSUs so it’s gonna be a while before i can use my PC again... This video helped me find what could have gone wrong for my pc.
Thank you for your movie have the same problem with Corsair vengeance 750m I don't know what is going on after when watched I get a new power supply that solves the problem you are my hero.
7:34 that was a very nice 360 you did there. All jokes aside, that you for this video. I have a Corsair CV650 and my PC has been starting to have black screens and sometimes freezing happens while I'm playing games or running benchmarks like 3DMark. I am really suspecting the Power Supply. Going to buy a 750W one from CoolerMaster because I feel like my RTX 3070 and Ryzen 5 5600x requires alot more power than what my current Cv650 can handle. I would appreciate if you could give me your thoughts. Thank you and what a great video!
I have the same power supply with my computer restarting on it's own when gaming. No blue screen, just instantly black. What would yall recommend because I'm nervous about picking power supplies again. Especially if I could essentially destroy other components with the wrong psu.
Update, I said fuck it and got a new power supply. Works fine, I heard a rumor that the cx750m may have issues with rtx cards but all I know is that just using a new psu solved everything. I did test the 750 with a second gpu for a couple hours without the random shut offs but they started again when I put my rtx gpu back in. New psu and no issues at all.
I was facing same issue with my system.. cx 750 was installed in my system, I just test with new cx750 and my pc is running normal....thanks for the video 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 God bless you
i had a long journey with this issue, i had it since i got my new parts, then i thought i need to change the cooler bcz my cpu overheats then change the gpu then changed every single part i have until i end up with the motherboard and psu, 99% of poeple i asked they said this is mothermoard symptoms not psu, just right now i changed my psu before i order a new motherboard, in the end i would like to thank you so much for this video that helped me and saved alot of my money

@@JsinJzone nah, never figured it out. Playing on lower settings helped delay the shutdown for a couple hours (usually shut down after an hour with my normal settings), but it would still crash 80% of the time.

I have a Seasonic Snowsilent 1050W powering a 5820k and 2080TI along with various mechanical/SS drives, D5 pump, and numerous fans. I have been racking my brain for the past year now trying to figure out whats going and at first I thought it was an improperly seated plug, but they started happening again and all the plugs are fully seated. We get random outages in our area with some pretty bad surges (one this past labor day took out the garage door opener). Like you, I can use the PC for web browsing and light duty stuff without issue. Once the PC is under load, restarts will happen at random and the events are more guaranteed to happen with overclocked CPU and/or GPU. I've logged voltages before and never noticed any weird fluctuations... Maybe I was looking at the wrong voltages. Edit: Yes, the PC is plugged into a surge suppressor.
@@kaustubhbhbh1TL:DR: it was the motherboard that went bad funnily enough i took my pc to a repair shop, they replaced the motherboard (with a older model than what i had saddly) back home i tested what was the real culprit behind the problem with a new PSU. the replaced motherboard had no problems running off the old and new PSU, not so with the old one, it obviosly had the same problem with the old PSU, but not with the new one but it never turbo'ed my i5 3570k to the max frequency (only 3.6ghz)

You earned a subscriber! I having some issues while playing for 3minutes my game crashed or my pc will restart itself. So i changed a powersupply 700w evga
I have just encountered this problem, I also happen to have the exact same power supply! Although the Valley benchmark runs flawlessly if I try and plat Doom Eternal or Resident Evil 2 (The game it occurred most often, on hardcore with NO AUTOSAVE!!) I'm currently looking for solutions and the PSU seems the most likely cause. Unfortunately I do not have a spare to test it. If the PSU is at fault / fans not kicking in would you expect the PSU to get hot? I put my hand on it after it restarted and it didn't feel hot to touch.
I had this problem 6 months ago! I replaced my gpu and it was solved. Unfortunately today my pc crashed during game. A blue screen came and i showdown the comp. After turning on the comp and went in the game to reconnect it freezes. No mouse november nothing. Now my pc is restarting constantly. It has passed 30 min and he is still restwrting.
My antique 2009 LENOVO ThinkCentre M58p computer had PSU problems. I took the PSU apart and replaced 7 bad electrolytic capacitors for a whopping $9.55 CAD (Plus $3.20 to pay for the bus fair to pick up the parts. LOL), and boom, all is well again. This old computer is still fast enough for me to watch TH-cam and Netflix videos at 1080p 60fps tops, so that's good enough for me.
You've got the old iteration of CX750M there (the green colored letters/ pre-2016 version), yeah that one is having a quite notorious rep. I think Corsair have improved the CX750M quality starting from 2016 iteration/build
I have the new one: CX750M (CP-9020061-NA) with the grey labels and it still has the same issue. The CX is very bad. I recommend using the PSU Tier List to pick a PSU.
@@sigit6542 I just replaced it with a Seasonic Focus GX-550 SSR-550FX Power supply and it works amazing. SO it was my CX750M (CP-9020061-NA) that was problematic.
Same problem here. Screen goes black without warning, system restarts. What puzzles me is that it's only crashing during browsing/watching movies, never while gaming. It can go trough a week without crashing, then crashes 20 times a day. Not OS related, did several clean installs of WIN10, then Hackintosh and Linux. This is the seventh PC i've built myself, all new components. Never happened to me before. R5 case, Asrock AB350M Pro4 board, Ryzen 1600, HyperX RAM, Nitro RX480, Corsair CX500 psu, Samsung SSD. All stock, no overclocking. A lot of people having trouble with the Asrock board and with the Corsair CX psu's...What i did found (thanks to your other video) is that voltage, measured at the wall socket sometimes drops as low as 215V. (cycles between 241 and 217).
Hi. I've been having the exact problem for months now. So I thought that it would be a power supply issue. It was not - the power supply is perfect. I still changed my CoolerMaster 850 watt power supply with Seasonic 850 watt gold, still got the problem. I tested the computer in another house and it runs perfectly with no crashes. So, here's my question: if I get an UPS, will it help me to fix my problem? What do you think? I live in a 19 sq.m. garage where the power cables are a bit thinner than in ordinary apartements. this MUST be the issue....
If you can get hold of another known working PSU try that before you buy, there are many variables that could cause restart, and I did test everything else before testing the PSU....
I had this same problem with my old 500W PSU (when running XMP 3600, standard 2400 worked fine) and so I replaced the PSU with a 850W (and enabled XMP again) one and it worked fine for a couple months. I recently started getting the problem again. Could my new PSU be failing already or is their something I'm overlooking? Btw all my parts are relatively new.

My son's PC was restarting every time he loaded Fortnite. In the beginning I thought it was a software issue. Reinstalled Fortnite, Windows, Drivers; nothing happened. Then my focus shifted to GPU and RAM. Was trying to arrange GPU for testing, but due to lockdown; I couldn't find one. Surprisingly, didn't come across any proper solution. Did some twitching with GPU settings and came across an option which allows to modify GPU power. I randomly pulled it down by 25%. Bingo! The problem was solved! Didn't have to change the PSU.
The Internet is collectively leaning toward this being an issue with motherboard/PSU/Combo over-current protection being TOO sensitive (who thought that would be a bad thing?) The sensitivity diagnosis is based on the motherboard or PSU being close to its max current handling capability when the spike occurs, so even thought the over-current event may be brief, the protection circuitry still picks up on it and shuts down/reboots to protect your components. That is actually CORRECT BEHAVIOR for the scenario I just described, it's just enthusiast setups are designed to crash gracefully when encountering instability issues. (As opposed to a no-name PSO letting you just keep pulling amps until it explodes and fries half of your rig.) A rule of thumb is to never skimp on components that connect to more than 2 other components. That usually works out as PSU, mobo, GPU, then everything else. Test Rig (2022): GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS Ultra Seasonic X-850(SS-850KM3 Active PFC F3) 850W 80 Plus Gold Nvidia RTX 3090 Founders Edition NOTE: Nvidia is about to roll out their new 40 series cards and the TH-cam PC builders are saying to expect another wave of these crash issues. Everybody likes reusing components when they can, but even if your current PSU is JUST within spec for a new GPU, upgrade it. In fact, upgrade it regardless. Intel's rolled out the ATX 3.0 spec for power supplies, which includes special cables for your high-wattage components to talk to each other and work out voltage requirements. That's a VERY GOOD THING because Intel's newly mandated ATX 3.0 CONNECTORS were designed to be smaller (and therefore more fragile) than older ATX 2.0 stuff.

Upon closer inspection, I found out signs of oxidisation on the PSU, and crashes occurred when power demanding applications were turned on.

thank you for this video, I found it 1.5 years after it was posted and also after I spent weeks trying to figure out my problem. Sadly, I already figured it out and THEN I found your video lol.
anyway, here is how it happened for me:
I have an intel i3-8100, RX 5700, H310m-PRO VD, 16 GB ram at 2666 Mhz, and a cooler master elite 600w
when I play games for more than an hour my PC freezes with very loud buzzing in the speakers, I have to restart from the case button.

If you’re seeing this in 2021, REPLACE THE POWER CABLE with the one that comes with the power supply. I was packing it up to return the power supply. And noticed the power cable that came with power supply was a lot thicker than my old one. The new power cable could be a thicker gauge wire to accommodate the current flow the new power supply needs. USE the power cable that comes with the power supply. Hope this helps.

I'm having the exact problem with my Antec EAG 750 Pro, except now the PC won't turn on at all.
Initial stage: PC used to restart randomly while I was playing The Witcher 3
Later stage: PC used to turn off and won't start for a while, PSU became like some kind of a battery where it needs some initial charge to turn on.

I was having the same problem, with the same PSU. I just replaced my PSU and the issue was resolved. This video helped me alot! TYSM!
The Clansman awesome, I have the same issue and I’m thinking about changing mine, was yours just Shutting off no warning? And also no Reboot? Like mine shuts off and I have to reboot it manually by clicking on the power button, was yours the samec
@@razewyd8743 Yes. No warning, just rebooting, but automatically after the crashing. I used GPU-Z and noticed that the voltage to GPU was a little low (11V, sometimes 10.5V or even 10V). When trying to open any game or any GPU test software, BUM! Restart! I replaced the PSU and everything is working fine now. Im using EVGA 750W now. Good luck!
The Clansman thanks man!
Just ordered an EVGA to replace my CX50M. Corsair has really let me down
Update: New PSU and still having the issue. Any ideas guys?
Probably RAM
@@bruceterbear40 You were right. It was the RAM
@@Michael11794 What exactly was the issue with your RAM? Maybe it's the same I'm facing with. I'm troubleshooting everything I can to solve this situation before giving up and buying a new PSU
@@MattSVR I noticed that one of the tiny little resistors/capacitors you can see just above where the ram fits in the slot was coming unsoldered and only hanging on by a thread.. Returned it and all is fine with the new RAM
Hello, I am very thankful that I found this video of yours man! I am about to get a new PSU, a Branded and 80+ true rated one to be exact. My current PSU is a generic one so I'll try this method and see if it works... I'll give an update.
Thanks for sharing godbless.
No problem 😊
i've heard some bad things about that series of power supplies from corsair, not sure why, but i got myself an EVGA 600, i do believe the EVGA ones are built better
Ended up with the EVGA 600 instead of the Corsair C series 750.. now my newly built PC stays on! :)
0:31 man speaking gibberish
okay!
I had the same issue and I worried about this for a long time , after seeing the video today I have bought new psu 'Antec HCG 750 gold' just worked like a charm .. CX 750M really very bad PSU for high end gpu's ..And thanks for the video man .. You solved my problem too
Glad it helped!
" CX 750M really very bad PSU for high end gpu's " hurts me a little! if i do a warranty exchange, they're gonna give me the same one. fingers crossed that the one I had is faulty!
My pc suddenly freeze and shut down during gaming ☹️☹️
Same did u fix it?
Lighty decrease the processing power from control panel/power options
@@iqbal-oh5qx i will try it when i go home.
Do i need it to put it on power saver?
Lighty no balanced
you are gold healmytech and i bet you know it thanks for your work on youtube
Wow, thanks
Very unrated channel... wish you more subs :)
I appreciate that!
You earned a subscriber! I having some issues while playing for 3minutes my game crashed or my pc will restart itself. So i changed a powersupply 700w evga
i had this problem, I flipped the computer upside down and it worked, the PSU fan was making a noise. i also dusted everything
idk if this is meant to do with is but once i punched my desk and my PC restarts idk if somethings broken??
Thanks I have the same problem now I need to get a new power supply
I have just encountered this problem, I also happen to have the exact same power supply!
Although the Valley benchmark runs flawlessly if I try and plat Doom Eternal or Resident Evil 2 (The game it occurred most often, on hardcore with NO AUTOSAVE!!)
I'm currently looking for solutions and the PSU seems the most likely cause. Unfortunately I do not have a spare to test it. If the PSU is at fault / fans not kicking in would you expect the PSU to get hot? I put my hand on it after it restarted and it didn't feel hot to touch.
New build, had the cx750m, had random reboots no bsod.
Swapped psu for evga 850gq, works flawlessly.
Hi I ran Unigine and it crashed to desktop a few minutes after I started the benchmark. Any ideas on what it could be?
You will need to do some tests. Start with an in depth PSU....do a couple other benchmarks form other apps as well...
@@karankenZ guess they haven't learned from past mistakes then
@@sigit6542 I just replaced it with a Seasonic Focus GX-550 SSR-550FX Power supply and it works amazing. SO it was my CX750M (CP-9020061-NA) that was problematic.
@@karankenZ nice 👍 guess have to stick with RM & SF series then.
I also have the exact same PSU it is giving the same problems. Checked with another and it works fine. Thanks a lot.
Exactly my problem. I suspected the psu but was uncertain however, having watched this I will replace it. Thanks..
If you can get hold of another known working PSU try that before you buy, there are many variables that could cause restart, and I did test everything else before testing the PSU....
Don't forget a build up of thick layer of dust can also cause PC to hard freeze in my case.
Had the same issue, Swapping the PSU fixed it. Thanks!!
i literally have a Corsair VS550 should i buy a new one? i have the same problem
If you have done all the necessary tests, then yes, but have you done the right tests?
I had this same problem with my old 500W PSU (when running XMP 3600, standard 2400 worked fine) and so I replaced the PSU with a 850W (and enabled XMP again) one and it worked fine for a couple months. I recently started getting the problem again. Could my new PSU be failing already or is their something I'm overlooking? Btw all my parts are relatively new.
Hey, I was able to get my ps4 out of safe mode with the help of RYANSROOM617 on instagram..

Test Rig (2022):
GIGABYTE Z390 AORUS Ultra
Seasonic X-850(SS-850KM3 Active PFC F3) 850W 80 Plus Gold
Nvidia RTX 3090 Founders Edition
NOTE: Nvidia is about to roll out their new 40 series cards and the TH-cam PC builders are saying to expect another wave of these crash issues.
Same psu for 4 years.. my thing crashes during vegas editing is it dying? I dont know if a vega 56 and ryzen 7 2700 can run well on just 500w though may need to wait for sales
