EL AWL BE MR DUCKS - Well this finally works. With Linux it seems it's always a permissions issue. For me SkyDescribe is working using DTMF from the HT keypad. Keep up the good work Freddie. I got back into AllStar with your videos.
I have a question. I tried it on ham voip before. And program works as far as the injection. But it never would go off during the Alerts. I got it now on ASL 3 with the help of your video. Is there any way of knowing if it is going out and checking for the alerts. Like a log or something. Thank you
@HamRadioCrusader yes I'm getting the injects. I just put it on ASL 3, But I had it on Ham Voip before, and I never got any alerts on it during bad weather. I was wondering if there was a way of knowing if it was going out and looking for the bad weather alerts. Is there a log for crontab To see if that part is working right.
@HamRadioCrusader thank you. It might be working right on ASL 3 since the newer system and more stable. Name here is David KD5NDU in Mississippi. I got about the same setup you do on your remote repeater system. I got the DR2 in a very rural area. My repeater sites in a cow Pasture with the cows. They keep the grass cut for me.
@@KY4TRK no coding in the video. If you have a GUI on your machine running ASL you can even edit the configuration files with a GUI text editor. The command line is like a super power when you get used to it.
