@@bkhauit’s a lost cause. There was never a documents or deeds to prove his ownership. His mistake was, he trusted them and took their words for it. With that said, the house is his but the land is not; burnt it down and take your losses. Leave them to their land.

It's very straightforward that you bought a land/house and you didn't have any documentation under your name and wife....of course, this land/house does not belong to both of you and you should know it. You came from the United States. I'm so sorry for you.
Can you find out the head or team of employees of the construction of your house to be your witness? Because they knew that you had spent money to buy the materials to build your house not for your friend. If I heard correctly, you said he told officials that you had given him the money to build the house for him, right. Then the officials should feel suspicious about your friend's motive. The official should have questioned him after all you generously gave him money to buy land and build house, is it unethically and unmorally for his part to turn around and accusing you. If the officials are using common sense and competent in judgment without bias, they should have raise a red flag of your friend action against you. I felt there was possibility of kickback scheme between him and the officials in your case. Well, you already paid him handsomely. Was your case closed/settled? It look like resolved because you had your own record of deed. It is very challegening to live next to a neighbor, who had history of bitter rivalry against you. Thanks for sharing your video good to learn me I'm 66 years old now but my wife only 56 years old my plans want to go back for my retirement in Cambodia but for me i told my wife we will just rent the condo in phnom Penh from November to March and April we come to Toronto Canada to see my childrens and my grandchildrens depends on my health this is just my plans when we go to Cambodia we not stay in one place we travel around Cambodia by tour bus or we travel to the neighboring country .me i came from posat province but my wife she is from phnom Penh.
