Edit: I actually played it in my mom’s iPod touch (same goes for Jellycar 1. I played Jellycar 2 on my old Wii) by the way, Walaber is adding every level from the previous Jellycar games into Jellycar Worlds. He even added the old main menus. Jellycar 2 and 3 will be added soon :)
Hey, I know java and am gonna try to make a jelly car 4, and I just want to say THANK YOU. The source code from the file in the link can be salvaged and put together in something new. This is gonna be good.
Gribgrab I think it is too, shouldn’t be a problem though considering how easy it is to convert the physics engine to Java, but yeah I’m still gonna take all of the old textures and sounds and revamp them. Edit: I'll also remix the OG music for some extra nostalgia.
Gribgrab Very well actually, I also decided on revamping the old games too. Apparently, you CAN still get the files from the App Store, the only problem is that 32-bit games aren’t supported anymore. Which is no problem, all I need to do is to convert them to 64-bit, which is easier than I expected. In other words, there won’t only be a fourth, but all the previous games will be revived too!
I didn’t know that Walaber made a modern version of this with a grapple 4:33 instead of a balloon. I have no idea how much copying and pasting it took for Walaber to make JellyCar Worlds.
There are so many new things. The balloon is there but he added more powerups like one which makes you go fast, sticky wheels are in the game, as you said the grapple is there, there are new car shapes and new car customization, so many new levels and other levels that were based on some of the levels from the three original games. He is currently working on a level editor for it too. You should really look into it.
