When Cecil said the 'it becomes perfect when you accept it for what it is' - that's where I fell in love with WTNV. I don't know, there's something deep and special about that line. I knew this was going to be a good show. :D
I wrote that quote down on a stickey note over three years ago when I first started listening to WTNV, and I still have that stickey note on my desk :)
Just be careful of the adult cat spine ridges, the tendril hub, and especially the venom sacs And be sure to *NEVER* take their pictures... Good night, Night Vale, good night....
I just realized! Khoshekh means darkness in Hebrew! (Though, the Kh sounds doesn't sound like a normal k.... I'm pretty sure it's a sound most Americans can't do, so they just say K...)
It might be helpful to Google for a probounciation of the Hebrew letter “ח”, which makes that sound, or the full Hebrew word “חושך”. The sound isn’t used in English, but apparently the Scottish pronunciation of “Loch” has it at the end.
cecils speech for this segment of the show alone was beautiful and full of alliterations as always, and all youve done is make it even more beautiful. i love the simplicity, but in a way that's hinting on something more complex, it really matches the feel of the podcast for me.
I've just started Nightvale (still on year 1) and ngl I originally thought the cat's name was spelled cautik/cautiok, as in a rickety misspelled wet-floor sign that might be next to him.
I have one question: when did this cat gat name? Idk, maybe i missed while listening to episodes, maybe it is further, i just want to know when and where did this name appeared? (Just love this name cause it is similar to "cat" in my language and i find it cute that cat is named almost "Cat")

@@ethanlivemere1162 No! Such punishment would be cruel and unusual. I would never wish a trip to Desert Bluffs on anyone!

I know right!!! Same here, I'm glad it hooked me :D
honestly same XD
He said that about his brother when he was fifteen, too, but had no memory of it when he was talking about khoshekh.

*Turns bathroom gender neutral just so everyone can see the cat*
Everyone gets to admire Khoshekh!
That’s just the kind of courtesy you can expect working here at the radio station. We love khoshekh.
@@crimsondynamo615 Who wouldn't love him?

Good night, Night Vale, good night....
Cecil: he seems perfectly happy and healthy
Silas: why are we still here… just to suffer
I just realized!
Khoshekh means darkness in Hebrew!

It also means cat in Russian
It also was one of the 10 plagues in Egypt
What does it sound like?

And now we finally know the truth about Khoshekh.
