I think Mnet assumes that giving them screen time makes their fandom coming back for more. Thus showing Nu'est low-key favouritism gets Mnet ratings. And that as a result ends up promoting the group.

It's no secret that they are under so much stress and pressure since everyone expect them to be perfect in every f'n way. Mnet didn't show Jonghyun's reavulation which was so good that he was graded up from D to B and they also didn't show the vocal lessons with power vocal Dongho and honey vocal Minhyun. All C trainees said they expected Minhyun to grade up because he was so good during the training. So yeah, they treat them bad in the show.

Peeps don't forget that Nuest debuted in the same year as EXO, BAP, VIXX, BTOB, Ailee and several others... it was very difficult to stand out when your agency doesn't have enough money or influence. SM drowned every place with EXO promos and at least BAP had a rookie documentary, VIXX did also but Nuest? These poor boys have been struggling since back then, Pledis can afford to help them now but probably thinks it's better to invest in Pristin now. You can't blame SVT for their success, they were lucky to debut at a time when ppl were needing somth fresh and different and they fulfilled that spot.
