I think Mnet assumes that giving them screen time makes their fandom coming back for more. Thus showing Nu'est low-key favouritism gets Mnet ratings. And that as a result ends up promoting the group.

I knew NUEST since before and heard some of their songs yet didnt support them that much but now, as I watch them in PRODUCE 101 I feel so sad for them since they are very talented but still unrecognized. And I promise to myself that if they will have a comeback once again, I'll surely support them and vote for them in music shows.
Peeps don't forget that Nuest debuted in the same year as EXO, BAP, VIXX, BTOB, Ailee and several others... it was very difficult to stand out when your agency doesn't have enough money or influence. SM drowned every place with EXO promos and at least BAP had a rookie documentary, VIXX did also but Nuest? These poor boys have been struggling since back then, Pledis can afford to help them now but probably thinks it's better to invest in Pristin now. You can't blame SVT for their success, they were lucky to debut at a time when ppl were needing somth fresh and different and they fulfilled that spot. It is so sad to know that they are participating in pd101 because they were not successed and almost disband. On top of that, as far as I see in pd 101, they couldnt show their talents and keep dissapointing despite their 5 years experiences as debuted idol.
