This is wonderful. Most districts do not provide this equipment to Foreign Language teachers. I wish they consider our classes essential.

Thank you for the ideas here. We're adopting a hybrid system this week and I was wondering as I didn't see it mentioned, what audio set up you used in this video and is it the same for your classes?

    Hi Allison,
I am currently looking for options on a hybrid classroom setup like yours and I have a question concerning the microphone of the Logitech MeetUp. Is it capturing good audio from the distance you are using it? I read on the tech specs that it can reach up to 3m and I am concerned about this. What is your experience and do you need an external lavallier microphone to get better audio? Thanks for the help.

Hola Simon! Thanks for your message! I would say that the audio is great and I do not need a lavalier mic. I did consider buying one but as I was walking around my classroom (which is pretty big 45x36), I was talking and then one of my virtual students replied to what I was saying. She heard everything clearly.

The Meetup’s built-in mics are optimized for up to 4 meters (13.1 feet). To extend that range up to 5 meters (16.4 feet), you can add an Expansion Microphone. www.logitech.com/en-us/product/meetup-expansion-mics

What if you want to share your screen with your virtual students and offline students ?
Lets say you want to show them a presentation on Google slides.
How would you do that ?

I assume with students in the room, you are wearing a mask. Do you have a mic for students in the room to hear? What about the virtual students?

I am wearing a mask but I do not need a mic. Virtual students can hear me when I’m 10 feet away and in-class students hear both virtual students and me very well. The mic on meetup camera is really good.
