I had a friend who got him for their birthday, I figured out the transformation pretty quickly while we watched Prince of Persia. Loved the way he transformed, so abnormal for a Transformer.
Had this when I was younger, and I kind of liked it Would like a core class studio series one, but the closest we'll ever get is with the piece of plastic that comes with DOTM Shockwave
I love how he feels the need to specify that he was sick but he's not anymore as if to put us at ease, just in case we thought we would catch it by watching his video.
I mean it probably wouldn't have a class. But it would be cool to have commander size, *remote control* wheelie that transforms really well. He is among the very few transformers that it's even possible to get a life size toy of. Shame he was...well. what we got.
@@sethicusiii7878 When I saw they had made a remote controlled Sqweeks (admittedly non-transforming) I thought back to Wheelie and how that was a missed opportunity there.
Never picked this one up but it's one I'd definitely add to the collection for novelty alone if I found him in a bargain bin somewhere. SS Core class would be about perfect for this iteration of Wheelie as I don't see him ever getting the Deluxe treatment again.
There was an ROTF legends class Wheelie! Although it's still out of scale and a little ugly. I think it must've been rare too since no one remembers it and it's seemingly more expensive than the deluxe.
the Dr Wu is very difficult to transform because it's really small but it's pretty accurate. I own it and I'm quite happy to have it. though standing him is a pain because like the original toy his legs this time only has heels in the back and it not as angular and it's also shorter so it's really hard to find the spot and pose for him to stand.
Ah ROTF Wheelie, my first movie figure. I broke this guy’s arm off somehow as a kid and seeing this review made me realize how it could happen. This guy could make a good Terrorcon if he was orange and grey.
I forget that movie Wheelie even has any toys, and honestly, I’m surprised Hasbro even bothered with Wheelie. Then again they made a toaster transformer. Speaking of that guy, why did bay give a transformer that turns into a toaster such a cool ass design, not complaining.
2009 Hasbro, maybe. 2023 Hasbro, if it's not G1, Bumblebee or RoTB then it's not worth bothering. Especially if it's Bayverse related. Seriously, Hasbro made a Bumblebee Movie Megatron which is just a concept art but not bother releasing Que or Hatchet to complete the main Cybertronian casts of DoTM. It's understandable for them to not make Loader or Devcon just yet but not making the two characters who has some screen time that's more then just background scenery is mind boggling.
My go-to Wheelie is the ROTF Legends Class figure. It's still too big, but it's like an inch and a half tall so it at least sort of works without the risk of accidentally inhaling it like the Studio Series figurine.
I actually love wheelie so freaking much. I made 3D models of him, I have his Bayverse toys, and I'm planning to even cosplay as him (speaking as a boston midget) Honestly speaking, it's characters like him which is why I'm exclusively a bayverse-only fan and I couldn't give a rat's ass about any other TF franchise at all
I had the Legends class (or whatever they called the really small figures back then) one as a kid that a friend gave to me, and I remember losing his arms and making makeshift ones out of a couple Lego pieces.
Maybe will get a core class figure of him in studio series in the future but for now we just have that tiny figure of him that came with leader class dark of the moon shockwave. Also we need more monster truck transformers instead of just wheelie from rotf and dirt boss from cybertron.
@@kboy1158 Because he is so small obviously? Just look at one that came with SS Shockwave. It's realistically impossible to make a transforming figure of that size.
The dr wu is worth getting simply because it's the best looking one. Not really that good to pose but it's pretty much a corr class masterpiece so there's that
I had this when I was younger and If I remember correctly something on one of the leg broke and I couldn't reattach the leg back on because the thing is so flimsy and he remains that way to this day
i don't have ANY of the problems that TTG mentions in this video with my figure. I got my Wheelie at a garage sale and it was in great condition with really stiff joins and i got him for $4. I personally love this figure, the stability is not that big of an issue for me at all and his transformation is not that bad when you get the hang of it, in fact it gets quite simple. nothing feels finicky on my copy, even though nothing tabs in, it all stays in place. however i do agree that posability is not that great with him, but he looks fine with just standing there so not a problem for me. so i recommend this guy, but to each their own i guess
I had this one, and the legends class one that they made. Unfortunately I lost the legend class one’s arms, so now he’s just an armless wheelie. Though he looks much better than this deluxe version, and scales better
Always makes me laugh when youtubers like yourself keep apologising for having a bit of a gravel voice with a cold or sounding a bit congested. Over a hundred thousand people are subscribed because we like your content, attitude and videos. You don't need to apologise for your voice dude. If you lost your voice entirely and put out a video with just subtitles, fifty thousand of us would still be made up and watch it! Thanks for your hard work. Yes, RotF is a less than pleasing movie. But I mean, whaddya expect? It’s the second movie to this love-action trilogy, so it was kinda doomed for it to be bad. Nearly all sequel movies, especially the 2nd one, are bound to be bad. Very few are actually good (Sonic 2, HP Chamber of Secrets)
Typical 2009-era figure. People remember them fondly for all the moving parts and paint and what was at the time amazing detail, but they're all weird and frustrating with strange articulation that wasn't fun. A lot of the rotf figures were like that.
I just found that funny even as a kid but i just thought he was a pervert which he is thats his character like sanji etc but they also have their serious moments
