I agree with you, her outfit (especially her coat) would be more appropriate for fall. I think a trench coat would've made more sense for this season, but that's just a small detail i guess. All in all she is a very pretty doll with a timeless, classy outfit on. Btw, I love your jacket matching Barbie's outfit, that makes your review extra special! :)

At first, I did not want to buy her but because of your lovely review hehehe I caved in and bought her. Thank you so much. I love her beautiful face and her very detailed outfit. It's only my opinion, but I would rather have the model muse than the articulated ones especially if the seams of the doll are messy or not filed down. Thus, you are so right that this doll is especially lovely since she is fully covered as well. We don't see the seams. I really hope that the BFMC will go back to its old roots not only in fashion but in the type of body as well because without the coat, the doll's head is too big for her body and the bust is too small. Older silkstones are more proportionate. But nonetheless, overall, she is a very beautiful doll and I love her. Take care and I hope you do lots of doll videos. Lots of love from the Philippines!

I agree, the top is not great, and I thought the plastic booties were just meh, but everything else about her was a delight to me However, I was disappointed that Barbie Collector didn't honor the $50 price that they first advertised (I bought mine on April 1) but all in all I think she is a high quality doll and I'm thrilled to have her. And I agree with Broken Barbie TV, you're sooo handsome!! :-)

Oh my! This is a REAL trip down memory lane for me. Google up fashion for 1965-69. You'll find this exact fashion right in there. Right down to the panty hose (new invention in 1966) and ruched fitted mock turtleneck. Gee, it sucks to be this old. Oh BTW, it's a nice representation of the sleek flip hairstyle too. I remember wearing juice cans to bed to get that style. Yes...real orange juice 12 oz. cans. They didn't make curlers that big at the time.

She's pretty fab.I think they got the styling right on point with her! The colors are all perfect and go together perfectly, very chiq. One of the best overall outfits I've seen of late. She's giving me high fashion Vogue editor bout to strut down fifth avenue saying watch out bitches here I come hailing a cab lol. You are always telling us how gorgeous the dolls are (and they are!) But Suresh, you don't look half bad yourself! I know I don't understand why people leave them in boxes. The BTS dolls are a case in point...they don't have proper clothes just shirt fronts stitched into the jackets and they aren't cheap!! I have those boots except mine have the little hook fasteners up either side of the front (or at least are made to look like they have anyway..you know what I mean, I had to paint the little button hook thingies to make them show. I do all my dolls shoes so they look more realistic. ) I love this coat. I am terrible because I love articulation and poseability and I would be ok with this Doll but when I see Silkstone on eBay, I don't often buy because of the huge postage costs ( it seems vendors just double the price for postage and that is not ok with me!) , I would have the clothes right off of unarticulated bodies and on to my FR or FR hybrid dolls.I would have a stack of unused Barbie bodies in the boxes and all the clothing on my repainted realistic dolls. I love the Fashion but it needs to be hands on with me!
Well I have to say that I totally agree with you about seeing the joints thing.. I am not a fan of that, and that is why It has taken so long for me to get a Silkstone. I really like this doll... Love the outfit and well everything, so hopefully I will be getting her soon
I have that doll and she reminds me of urban jungle barbie... this doll has better quality but I prefer the style of urban's clothes.. I tried to put urban's skirt and necklace on her the robe open and she looks better.
