  • Hi! I’m Aurikatariina and I clean my followers homes’ for free! ❤️
Now we are going to continue with this house of horrors! This one truly gave me nightmares since everything was broken, nothing got clean and I just felt pretty hopeless. But of course I was also having fun!! Ralph’s relatives were super Nice and they helped me a lot. His brother tried to fix everything he possibly could but I still think it would be for the best that no one lived here anymore. As you can see from the video we discovered so much water damage and damage over all that it is such a health risk to even be here. I was scared that the floor might give in because it was rotten and had holes in it. There was also rat droppings everywhere in the kitchen. The kitchen tap was leaking but not into the sink. It was leaking in between the sink and walls. The floor underneath the sink had dropped and I think it is just a matter of time until the floor really gives in. But I understand they want to keep the house since they built it themselves.

You made the home slightly more livable for a man who doesn't want to leave. You made it easier for paramedics, inspectors, and social workers to get in and do their jobs. You made it slightly more bearable for that boy whose still stuck in that situation. Thats not a "fail" at all. You did your part.

Right???? This infuriates me! I would NEVER allow my child to live in such squalor and why on earth are they trying to find new Doors when the floor is caring in due to rot, and why install new appliances when the entire electrical system seems dodgy???

This is what I was going to comment. How are people not concerned about the literal child. I have seen so many comments worried about the dog. While I agree even a dog shouldn't be living in this condition, the human child with another parent?! Wtf... I try not to judge when a whole family is living in a mental illness home, but the mother apparently has at least a home with functioning appliances. Why is she allowing her child to go there??? Even if my kids were worried about the other parent and wanted to stay there to take care of them, it is my responsibility to keep them safe and healthy. This is so sad.

But yes, if someone who cleans for a living says a house or apartment should be condemned, then it's time to contact the housing authorities and let them know what's going on. I don't understand why she even got so far into the cleaning without calling the authorities---that should never have happened!

@@jb6712 I like to watch her videos, but yes, she shouldn't have touched this house and contacted authorities instead. If it's rotten from all the water, it's also moldy, which is very unhealthy, if floors are about to break under you, this house is dangerous to live in. Nobody, and especially not a child (and no pet, like the dog, that also seemed to be chained outside, and if this wasn't just for the cleaning, that's animal abuse) should live there.

I had a hidden mold issue in an apartment I rented; within one week of moving in, I was hospitalised because I was getting headaches, losing consciousness and after I got out of the hospital, the neighbour in the apartment beside mine told me that there was mold in her unit too. She had someone from the Canadian government come in to test the air quality and they uncovered so many problems. I moved out the next month and tried to sue the company who owned the building. The law society of upper Canada went on strike and I didn't pursue it, though I really wanted to see it through. I had 2 notes from Doctors stating that my unit was unfit to live in due to mold but the company who owned the building said that I abandoned the property and charged me 3 months rent. I was going to wait for my day in court but my Father paid the 3 months rent; I was livid with him for doing that.

But I'm assuming the "put some plywood over the rotting floor" is exactly is what's going to happen. It's gotten so normal that the structural damage doesn't even register. This is actually crazy to me. So I apparently had the wax seal under my toilet go bad, meaning the toilet was dripping down to the floor beneath. So I got the leak repaired and cut open the ceiling below thinking I could do the repair myself. Nope, mold. I don't know how long the leak went for, but the damage was pretty clear. This was in a less than 4x4 area. I called my insurance company and we've begun the process of water mitigation and mold mitigation and they've had to cut out waaaay more drywall than I thought in 2 rooms! From a tiny leak in one small place. And I'm looking at the stream behind the sink in your video and the toilet and everything leaking and literally there is no chance that anything in the house is not water logged and molded. So sad but the damage is so pervasive when it comes to water. I do hope the brother and the ex-wife recognize this is not liveable. He needs a place to rent at the moment while they decide on the most reasonable financial decision regarding demolishing this property. Honestly, I'd be surprised if the city didn't step in and insist.

Yes, nobody will buy the house itself but that in itself is a statement about the current well-being of anyone who is living in it and trying to rationalize that goes against the comment she made. Safety over finances for now I think.❤ You can't put lipstick on a pig (so to speak)

I almost think that this was staged in the sense that nobody has lived there for 10 or 20 years and for whatever reason nothing was ever fixed either. It's just impossible to imagine someone living there when nothing works, nothing at all. You can't turn on the light at night, you can't shower, use the toilet, can't use the kitchen to cook, it must be so moldy that the smell must be horrible, I think this one actually was a stunt.

Auri, you did your best under very bad circumstances. God bless you for your willingness to try at least. This is an impossible situation with broken everything and long-term maintenance neglect. Even the magic of Auri can't undo that! Your heart is in the right place, but I think your Mom was right about this. At minimum, a place should have running water to have any hope of being able to clean it. It sounds like the entire family is denial about how bad things are.

The home owners need a healthy start somewhere new, and hopefully somewhere pet-friendly with a building supervisor in charge of plumbing, etc. Not only can they not clean, they don't seem to understand that leaks must be repaired correctly immediately! This is long-term extreme home neglect. It's also long-term self-neglect, because no one deserves to live in such conditions for any amount of time. I'm sure they are very nice people. Think how much happier they would be if they left this place of cold and decay to live somewhere basic, but much healthier!

Exactly. Report the family to child protective services and call the ASPCA and move on. A place like this is only going to endanger her because who knows how much black mold is behind those walls from all that running water.

@@NV-yc9cy I have hope but... if a mother thinks it's acceptable for her child to be living in a broken dangerous place like this for such a long time.... I don't think Auri will work some kind of magic and change them immediately.

So many good comments…when utilities doesn’t work it really isn’t livable. Especially in the winter, in Finland…
If the house is thirty years old and in this bad shape it’s also extremely poorly maintained.
The parents don’t seem to acknowledge what needs to be taken care of - house, kids, animals or them selfs.
The type of conversation you are having with them seems to be a delusional one. The kids are now also enabling the living situation. This family need help and have been for a long time.
    The house is not safe.

If Ralph goes back to this house the situation will stay the same and only worsen with time, especially given that the bedrooms weren't cleaned and the damage is so big it would take months and a lot of money to fix. One day sooner or later this house will fall apart and it's better if it's not with someone inside. It’s sad for the boy and for the dog, no one should live like this. Ralph's not mentally able to take care of them, it seems. Someone should alert social services.

you know, I very rarely leave comments under a video and this is probably the first time I leave comments under Auri's video. I want to briefly say the following
    1. How you can live here at all??? It doesn’t matter person, dog, boy, age, gender - doesn’t matter at all. Tis is a house-disaster! It’s completely unliving!! They need to destroy, and not try save/tenable it! They need to burn it!
    2. Usually I always watch her video without scrolling it, that is, from beginning to end. But this time I just watched the first 5 minutes and then scrolled to the very end to see "before and after" picture. And I sincerely felt sorry for Auri. For how hard she cleaned and tried to make it at least a little better. But unfortunately...it shows small result as it's completely ruined. Everything is completely rotten, rusty, swollen, burned... There no way she can save it can from her side, she did everything possible (and sometimes impossible in the case with sink) to make it at least cozy.

The whole place should be condemned. The fact that the owner wants to return there shows me that he is incapable of making rational decisions and looking after himself.
I hope the son can permanently live elsewhere.

Thank you for your content. I have chronic fatigue syndrome and ADHD. Starting any cleaning is an immense struggle. But now I think "start by taking out the trashes" and its such an easy single step to focus on that I can get started much easier now. Its also such a catchy phrase that I never forget it. Oh and after that I think of Midwest Magic Cleaning and shoo out the herd of moose (which is even funnier because Im in Australia). Laughter makes difficult tasks that much easier.
