Your heuchera are looking beautiful. I noticed you have them planted on a slant which is very good for them. The one thing that'll kill a heuchera is poor drainage. Other than that, they are extremely resilient. I live in the United States and right now my heucheras are sitting under about 10 centimeters of snow and it will stay that way for a month or so until it begins to warm up. In this region we get very hot summers and very cold winters. A few winters ago it got down to -20 celsius, and this summer we easily got up to 45 celsius. My heuchera plants are always just fine and they always come back year after year. Very tough plants as long as they are well drained.
Thank you very much for you comment and for watching. Yes they are really tough, You can move them about in the garden all year round and they don’t suffer. I would not mind a cold winter as long as we got a proper summer. -20c is crazy I imagine a lot of evergreen type plants must have been killed off in peoples gardens. The killer here is not extreme cold as it is quite mild. It is the constant winter wet that rots plants with bad drainage particularly the more drought tolerant ones.
I have many Heucheras as well. They are very versatile plants even for containers. I adore the city varieties for their big, red flowers like Tokyo and Paris, these are my favourite.
My goodness u hv a beautiful garden. I luv the different arrays of colors & sizes for each plant and that including the evergreen scrubs. Thanks for the great ideas I'm going to use with my plants 🪴😀❣️
Thank you very much for watching and for your comment. I’m glad you have found something useful for your garden. The different foliage colours are great all year round.
@@mywalledgarden Yes thank u bcuz my garden needs a face-lift. I can't wait to give it vibrant colors and a all around new look. 😍 I just subscribed to your channel 🌻🌿🌷👍🏽🍃🌼🌳
Hi, thanks very much, Coral bells will grow in the sun here although the colour does fade a bit. I think they are perfect in partial shade. When it comes to heat I suppose it depends on how hot we are talking as it rarely goes over 30c here.
I bought a few of these but they all got rust. If I cut them right back and take off all the leaves will it disappear? If it's ok to cut them right back when's the best time to do it? Now in Nov or in spring?
How bad is it? I would just remove the effected leaves for now. I would cut them back hard in the Spring and they will make fresh new growth in no time. You want to give the fungal spores on old leaves the least opportunity to spread to other ones.
Wow I never new they are so many of them
Hi, yes I would not be surprised if there are hundreds of varieties now.

Heuchera ruby bells is my favourite! Dark green leaves with ruby red flowers. It's a small heuchera too.
Will have to look at that, Some of the better flowering varieties seem to have green leaves.
I love all the heucheras but the lime marmalade is gorgeous❤️😊❤️

Really cool foliage colours. Love the red/green/orange combo, like a packet of opal fruits in the garden. Great display 👍
