I was surprised that you were using the freedom. It's quite a bit larger than I had thought it would be. But the price is rough to take. The wheels are great. Wheel it out to cook. End of cooking and it's cooled down, back into storage. With emergency situations I could see that thing disappear fast. Heck I've seen log splitter disappear overnight
I use pine cones for starting the wood burning stove at the house. Those are great to get things going fast. I use them in the top down method. It produces minimal smoke and heats everything up without having to tend the beginning fire.
OH YEAH, love to have one of these bad boys out under my car port! I am thinking the shipping cost to the Philippines would give an old guy like me a heat attack? Maybe, just maybe, the company will consider selling a set of plans and / or a license to build a unit for folks not located in north America? We could come back with a rice sack or bucket of sticks every day from the early AM walk. As much as I want to add a sun oven for the 3/4 of the year that weather will permit it's use, I do not think it it will be of much help during rainy/typhoon season. An appliance like this woodburner will work rain or shine, day or night, power on or off for the long haul. Super appreciate your candid review. Now, where is my wish list, I have something to write down.
Hm, I don’t think my condo’s HOA will let me have one on space near front door... but I will pass on to my friend who has a house north of here. Will look at the CD info, but no link so I have to rewatch first few minutes to get that website address (TACDA.org).

You can use seasoned pine cones as fuel. :) Tumble weeds are flammable. :)
