- Today I am using the new Sims 4 Game Pack: Star Wars Journey to Batuu. I built this tiny resistance home on the Resistance Encampment lot in the new world! Regardless if you like the new pack or not, I hope you enjoyed the build! I think that the pack has a lot of cool build items that can be used creatively in different situations. I'm not necessarily recommending this pack, but I think there are some hidden gems in this pack that could come in handy. Let me know what you guys want me to build next!

Your the first simmer I’ve seen do a batuu build
Cute build. I'm really liking the items in the pack. As someone that does less realistic builds with fantasy & ruins etc I really like the pack, but I was pleasantly surprised how many of them would fit in a more "normal" build by just changing out a swatch. The same with the CAS items.

the level of creativity that went on decorating the bedroom and kitchen/living room is BEYOND me like I could never. I'm SO impressed!!!!

Yes girl! I was kind of sick and tired of seeing other builders 'pussy' out when they realise they aren't up to making a new build with this new pack so I'm really glad you tackled it. And it's such a creative build! ❤
Thank you, Genji! I too am surprised that there aren’t more speed builds with this pack! From a builder’s perspective, there really isn’t a reason why we wouldn’t at least try to build something! The world is beautiful and there are some cool items to get creative with! ❤️
When you step outside of your comfort zone, what comes out is just so beautiful, memorable, and compelling. Love all your builds of course, just saying... outside of your comfort zone really blows my mind!

I'm actually a huge star wars fan and this pack is The reason why I bought the sims to play. I guess I can understand disliking the pack from a sims fan side but I don't get why the hate was so bad.
I really like the build items and this is a fun little house you made!
Gorgeous! I really love this pack anyway, but it's wonderful to see all the new approaches to design from creative people like yourself
Tho i agree with the fact that some builders/youtubers are deciding to not even try to build with the pack, i find that it is more about how EA seemed to have more control over the pack than the sims 4 team did. And they are taking a stand to make the community be heard about the fact that this pack seems like more of a money grab than anything else, specially since no one was really necessarily asking for it.
I think its OK for the sims team to listen to the community and add in the game what we have been asking. I' sick of people saying "maybe in the sims 5". I'm not interested in spending a bunch of money yet again to get things that should have been in the game since the beginning, nor do i want to wait years before getting important updates to the game. I think its about time the Sims team/EA understand what we most want, and deliver it.
Strangerville items are mostly weird, but there is so much more than the build assets and the CAS imo, its just not for everyone, same for the Star Wars pack.
I think overall it was just sad to see. Everyone hated on Eco Lifestyle, but it was well received when it came out. But this pack hits different i think.
I love when you say this isn’t something I would normally do, and I’m like well you need to do more out of your comfort zone stuff because your so good at these fun different builds I love it !!

I never want anyone being pushed out of their comfort zone (especially in games, especially in time of pandemics, where we're trying to finally get some comfort) but I must admit it boosts your creativity immensely whether at Spark'd or in this Batoo build

This is fantastic and exactly what I've been hoping to find! I haven't tried it yet but I am hoping to use Batuu as a kind of immersive holiday for my sims who love Star Wars (adults and kids). I really want some accommodation like this in the three areas so they can choose which faction to 'join' then do some missions so they can buy their light sabers and druids to take home as souvenirs from their holiday adventure. Thank you so much - this is definitely going in my game.
This is amazing! I feel similarly in that I'm not a fanatic but I definitely love me a Star War hahaha so I was kind of stoked when this was announced! I refrained from watching any trailers or reactions though due to the overwhelming negative criticism I've seen, I felt that I'd want to purchase this pack anyway. Your build is the first content I've watched regarding Batuu, and it really reinforces my want to buy this! I'm more of a builder myself but I do phase back in and out of gameplay so even if I play through this once I think I'll be happy with it. I absolutely love the bits I can see of the world itself too! I will for sure be placing this down to load up and do some gameplay with :)

I'm honestly enjoying the pack, but I do think it has room for significant improvement. Like if they added more sandbox like options, new races, and made it a town instead, I would buy it full price as an expansion pack. Like I would love to be in the one of the three factions as a job and stuff.

I'm actually more surprised to see how long it took EA to create a Star Wars pack. To be quite honest, and it's probably just me but I was always able to see a resemblance in the Sims and Star Wars characters.
Lamento mucho que no haya un "download link". El pack SW es el menos jugable de todos los packs, sólo lo jugué 6 horas y nada más, aún siendo un "fan" de SW... pero los "build items" son hermosos, de la calidad de todo lo que lleva la marca SW (menos algunas prendas que parecen hechas por algún hijo en pre-escolar de un empleado de EA)... pero en general todo respeta al 100% los diseños de SW originales. Me encantó la construcción, y lamento lo del link de descarga. Eres una de las mejores constructoras que conozco, estás en mi TOP 5 Mundial!
I would be nice if we had those tube elevators that came with Sims 3 Into the Future, it can act as a light as well as an elevator, plus you can recolor them to match the furniture.
Funny that you didn't like Strangerville's build items but you liked it's cas, because (I'm getting SW when its on sale) I like the cas items from SW but I don't see myself using the build items much. But I care more about "gameplay" "simulation actually, so this pack was a bit of a turn off. It has influenced me to visit TS2 again and I've been enjoying it for the past week. Just needed a handful of cc for cas default, but awesome deep gameplay with TS2. Hopefully EA will develop the gameplay for TS4, but it's almost at it's end so I doubt it. Well, have a great day! Btw, I do like some of the hanging lights for modern homes. Oh and the plant pots. :) Ps. I will say, you are the first person who has made me even attempt to reconsider the pack after seeing you "could" build a home on Batuu. So, good job. I might have a more open-minded about it after your video. Can you do more please. You just might save this pack. I just need to be able to see my sim there, because right now it's hard to. They should have just made this an amusement park. I think people would have cheered!

I definitely like the build! You did a good job!! What was the cheat you used again to build??? Because this build gives me an idea. I was thinking of building a typical Batuu home on top with a large barracks like living quarters underground, to be a disguise from the First Order. The only thing that is stopping me is the underground headquarters that is below a cave. It is close to where you build this lot. (I don't want to spoil it for anyone). This doesn't really make sense for the Rebel encampment, I would have liked to see some skill items that are relevant to the missions. Kinda getting a "small suburban house forced through a Star wars filter " vibe on a planet with two factions at war with eachother.. Well to end on a high note, I think the shape of the house is cool and the kitchen counters are cute!
I’m not much of a gameplay girl so I have zero clue how this would fit with the actual gameplay. Your read on a small house forced through a Star Wars filter is spot on to what I intended! Glad you liked some of the design aspects! :)

Hi doctor Ashley I have a quistion and maybe you can answer it, you have like the sunlight come in and have the shadow but I don't have that in my game did you do something in the settings to do that or was it already in the game?
I have my game at max settings and everything is set to high. You can choose your settings in the top right hand corner settings menu of the game!

i just want more skin tones and and a sectional couch that actually looks comfty, more paintings, and counters like come on guys just give us a pack that is solely based on furniture desgin
