This Sg is a prime example of a single pup guitar that inspires it's player! There's nothing better than a guitar that inspires you to play once you find "the sound"!

I had one of those years ago, beautiful sound. Babe Ruth would have been envious of the neck!

klasse Gitarre! Aber ehrlich, diese versiffte Strat (und sei sie noch so alt und klassisch und gut)… gruselts mich dann doch jedesmal.

I played one of those for a month while my guitar was being repaired. It belonged to my band mate. I really liked it but like my guitar better which was a 1979 Hamer Sunburst. the first real boutique guitar company in the USA doing all hand made on a large scale. The Hamer special or Sunburst are pretty much a an SG type of double cut that sound pretty much like a les paul loaded with double humbuckers.

Whoa. I had no idea Hamer was still operating after Fender bought them, so I just went to look, and weirdly their site is dated 2023, but no one seems to have them anymore. Not only that, but the Special Jr listed on their site for a few hundred dollars, is listed on Chicago Music Exchange for $10,700. So I’m guessing they closed production and now the “collectors” (wolves) have caught the scent.

@@darwinsaye They are making guitars. Far from their original glory though. Their newr management last 3 years or so has claimed to really step up their game. I* have not looked at their website. Maybe I'll have a look. I'm pretty sure they are still making guitars in Indonesia, Korea or China.
