Thanks for this video and all of your tutorials. I suffer from depression too ( have spent years on and off antidepressants etc) so i appreciate the effort it takes to put yourself out there and talk about these sort of things. I find it therapeutic sometimes to hear people talking about their own struggles. Reminds you that its not just you going through it. I'm sure i'm not the only one who finds this video useful.

I have seen your documentary twice Pixels and Polygons.. I really respect you and what you are trying to do. You have inspired me personally to really get into the Indie scene. I want to thank you for that brother ✌💯 Hang in there, one day all your efforts will pay off. You will be succesful. Depression is something I have sufferd from, due to being bullied years on end.. Also alot of things almost everything in life never goes my way. But I try to be strong and to take my mind of the things that hurt and focus on things that will change my life in a more positive way. Again stay strong and never give up, Everything shall pay off even if that means you gotto go through hell many times. Go get them 👊❤💯 Greetingz from the Netherlands Thank you again!

Depression is a lonely often cruel place to be.. It feels like you can't see no way out, and it can make you feel your a reject and there's something wrong with you!! But there is light for those who's lost in the dark, and as you say "Talking + reaching out to others" is the biggest step in the right direction.. As a person who fought depression for many years - The biggest thing, that made me feel I could come back from it - was talking to others about what I was feeling. And that was the best step I ever made, and I for the first time wasn't alone !
The problem with our way of life today - is almost our whole life is there online for people to judge, say hurtful comments, post things about us and generally make life hell.. But it can also connect you with a whole wonder of things you thought you'd never see or know and also find people you come to be very good friends with. I learnt a long time ago now,LIFE IS SHORT AND VERY PRECIOUS !!
So I live by the saying - I Live the Life I Love,And I Love the Life I Live !!
You took a massive step making this video and telling your story, If it makes just 1 person open up and reach out for help - you will have done an amazing thing.. Wish you well with you journey in life..

Welcome back man! I'm so excited for this series, a great first episode. The death of Chester hit me hard too, without Linkin Park, I wouldn't be listening to the music that I listen to today. I'm excited to see what happens to you for the rest of the year. I still watch Pixels and Polygons to this day and I always find it so inspirational. I've been in the Video Game Industry for just over 2 Years now but I still strive to improve my skills and continue to learn new things everyday 👊🏻

I worked so hard in my life but here in Brazil the violence and politicians corruption is making me sad. I'm going to a psychologist. Recently I read about Canada's immigration programs and I'm much more happy. I'm a game developer and programming languages teacher.

If you're not too old, not a criminal and have skill in some kind of industry (which you do), you shouldn't have problems getting in Canada

Thanks for sharing. I am sure other have said it and you probably already have done this. But seek professional help. Maybe not drugs. But there are other options than help phone line. Talk to your doctor, and seek help.

I appreciate the sentiment - I am very fortunate to have a lot of caring friends in my life who have kept me from reaching the edge, but I know not everyone has that. Hopefully this video helps them and others understand them a little better. Thank you for supporting my work as well. :)

I am really glad you have caring friends. And that you are able to care for them as well. Depression is not this "one" thing. It has many forms as you say. Some also struggle with a combo of isolating themselves. Watching your movie on steam right now. Very inspirational.

Dude like work on your portfolio or something man lol. Don't think that you aren't going to get hired because you were rejected in the past. Your art is really old school, and you aren't trying anymore. You need to keep up;. Fullsail is a POS and you shouldn't haven listened to people if they told you that you would get a job out of college just with the knowledge that you gained from shcool. If you really wanted to get into the industry you would be learning substance painter, sub-d modelling workflows, efficient uv's.. The studio I work at just hired someone straight out of HIGHSCHOOL. Like dude, just be your own teacher if you want to pursue 3d art. Keep up with the times.
