- www.howtofish.com.au I had a couple of hours to fish the Maribyrnong River in Flemington and while it took a little while to get the fish biting they soon came thick and fast. They weren't big fish but they were plenty of fun and it was a great way sot spend a bit of time in the morning. For more information on how to catch fish go to www.howtofish.com.au
good video Wayno! I always do a loop and slip the hook through the loop never have a fail with the hook. Simple rig but it works! The fish never see the line they zero in on the food! that is their goal free feed!
Good rig, thanks
Great stuff Wayne.
All those bites when you're not looking.
An interesting bit with that starfish.
Thanks for another great vid.
Great video!!!! Does the berley you sell have a strong fish smell (like tuna oil)
Hi, no the berley has a subtle smell and it's not fishy. I made it so it works in both fresh and salt water.
@@howtofish5051 Awesome!! Great that it dosen't have a fishy smell!! I might buy some for fishing in the maribyrnong😄 One more question, where do you get your berley cages from?
@@gregv2684 I sell them via my website as well. www.howtofish.com.au
@@howtofish5051 Thanks mate! Keen to try out the maribyrnong for the first time!👍
Why don’t you fish at at Docklands heaps of break over there
Bream
Yes I know, its just that there are so many places to fish and I can't get to them all.
How are you Wayne. I was at Maribyrong yesterday and there was nothing why is that?
Hi, I was there yesterday as well. That's when I made the video and there were plenty of fish around. I'm not sure why you didn't catch.
Aren't those mullet good to eat? Sand mullet.
Many people regard mullet as a bit bland and not a preferred eating fish however I also know a lot of people who like them. I've eaten them before and found them to be OK. I wouldn't eat any of the fish I caught this close to the city and suburbs. The water quality is not high and I see it as a bit of a risk. Having said this, many people still eat them caught in these waters.
