    Can't be feeling to bad, look at the great environment you are in. Just enjoy and the bonus is coming home with a great shot every now and then.

    I have to say that I find it to be pleasing to watch your videos. You do exactly what I would love to do. with a nice gear in hand, you just drive around looking for something interesting to photograph. The good thing about these videos is that not only can we see lovely images but we feel we are part of it as well. Thank you very much.

    Always nice to come along for the ride - your worst day looks like my best lol

      Haha, well it really wasn’t a bad day. I just wasn’t ‘feeling it’ I guess. It happens to us all...

    Steve, you are too hard on yourself. You captured some very nice scenes. I'm super jealous. Than you for sharing your talents.

      Thanks. The images actually turned out pretty nice in hindsight but I wasn’t seeing them well at the time.

    Still amazing photos of the Teton Range. So don‘t be disappointed, some days are just like that.
    I enjoy seeing your films quite a bit. Being from central Europe, your area really is special to me. Been to the Tetons and Yellowstone twice and never took pictures like you :)
    So... thanks and keep on shooting!

    Interesting to hear your thought process. Maybe the TH-cam channel increases expectations to get a epic shot on every vlog. It is an art and landscape and critters just don’t always cooperate but when they do....you are usually there. Your channel gives me a lot of good ideas and inspiration to get out and shoot. Much appreciated. Thx.

      I think that’s some good insight, there is definitely some extra pressure because I’m making the videos. I need to let that go.

    All nice shots, who would have thought that a fire hydrant could make such a stunning shot, it looks like a little man with big hat.

    Thanks for getting out and sharing with us! I’m curious about infrared work you showed. Is that in post processing?

    • @SteveMattheis
      @SteveMattheis  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a Fuji X-T20 that has been converted to infrared. Then in post, I convert to black and white.

    Once again an excellent video!!
    I do have one question though where would you recommend buying "Nikon" products?? Here in Tn. I can't seem to find a store that carries high end Nikon products..everywhere store I've been to only carries entry level..

    • @SteveMattheis
      @SteveMattheis  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure about somewhere local but I would think there’s a decent local store somewhere... I’m in Wyoming and we have a local camera store here, and several in nearby towns/cities. But I also buy some of my gear from B&H photo and amazon...

      Steve Mattheis, I will probably go with Amazon.... For years we had a company called Wolf Camera but they shut down all locations in middle Tn. around 1998.. Thanks for the info. Looking forward to the next vid. 👍💪

    Love Love Love the coyote shot! What do you film your videos with? I am getting ready to start up a channel and am just curious. Love your work and have fun man, that's what it's all about and the IQ shows it!

      Got it thanks! I looked but didn't see vlogging gear...must be the brew :-). Wish I had your scenery but cornfields have their beauty too lol.

    So are the Tetons open in winter? Do they close the gate at Yellowstone but leave the Tetons open?

    • @SteveMattheis
      @SteveMattheis  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some roads are open in winter, some aren’t. Most visitor services are closed too but the park is open.

    I have learned that expectations too often lead to nothing more than disappointment and have made a resolution this year that when I go out to shoot to shoot with no expectations at all .. this has been a very freeing experience and has resulted in some of my better shots... hopefully that feeling of unfulfillment will pass and you can find the shots you are looking for :)

    • @SteveMattheis
      @SteveMattheis  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      So true. That’s a great resolution. And thanks for watching and the comment!

    Brilliant video. I like the combination of landscape and wildlife within the one video. You've got yourself a sub! I've just started photography vlogging myself, if you get a chance i'd really appreciate some feedback on my videos. Keep up the good work and look forward to more
