I've been using a variation of the Segway Ninebot G30 Max, with the speed unlocked to 30km/h, and it served me really well for almost a year, all up until I sold it and switched to the Apollo City Pro 2022. It's nice to see Segway finally adding front and rear suspension to their flagship scooter, and it looks like it would be great for anyone who doesn't already own an electric scooter.
@@Dunwelll It's been going really well for me. Unfortunately, when I bought mine they were still being sold with the faulty throttle design and that's now causing me issues, but I'm going to get the new throttle replaced and fitted for free really soon. Plus, all new purchases, at least in Australia, include the fixed, redesigned throttle with the stronger spring, so that should hopefully not be an issue for you. Other than that, it's been getting me to work and around in general a lot faster, and the suspension is really nice. The acceleration is also really smooth. And there's also a smartphone app which allows you to customise the rate of acceleration and strength of braking. Oh, and also on braking, the regenerative braking on the City Pro is really nice, it took a small while for me to get use to engaging the brake using the second throttle, but it didn't take long for it to become second nature, and I won't want to go back to anything else now. Despite the problem I am currently having with my one, I would ultimately recommend the City Pro 2022, because of how nice it feels to use, and because it has been meeting my needs for it very well.
@@Dunwelll Whatever you do, just please, do not under any circumstance get something like the Bolzzen Commando. The Commando is well specced for what it's priced at, but it feels terrible to actually try to use. The acceleration is very jerky; if enough pressure is put on the suspension the front wheel can be hit by the stem, which has even caused me to completely loose control over the Commando on one occasion in the brief period of time where I was trying to use it; the UI/UX is just backwards; brakes are annoyingly, screechingly loud; the headlight is useless and offers no visibility; there's an ugly mess of exposed cabling; the scooter itself just looks ugly. It's just unpleasant to use. Don't get the Bolzzen Commando, the thing is only made to fill out a specs sheet sell units, it's not made to actually be used as a form of transport.
@@crystalfoti8844 which one are you going to buy? If you’re buying the Segway/Ninebot G2 Max, you can unlock the top speed of 35 km/h within the official app if you have the Global edition of the scooter and set the region within the app to the United States.
Come on, none of these will see a 65km range unless you avg under 15kph or similar, on a flat road with no wind. Also we get the cut down version of the G2 which sucks, why was this?
💡 Finally this model!!! the only small criticism would be this weird horn, it's the opposite of the horn on my Ninebot It was better to leave the old horn or a model like that of my Cecotec with double "ding"... I have this horn also on a Cyberbot Mini! In the end this new Scooter promises, with the shock absorbers waited so long so anticipated (waited so long that some have mounted effective telescopic forks) And we have a scooter with good protection for wet roads and especially for rain... 👏 Bravo Ninebot ( 🇨🇵)
I don’t get Segway, they add more range and indicators front and back and release the F65 yet they bring this one out as well which finally gets the suspension but no indicators. Surely they might as well of added indicators here too to this 🤷♂️
@19ms you can flash it to go a bit faster but I'm not concerned I like it at the legal speed I'm in my 50s and just use it to get around shopping , sight seeing so speed doesn't interest me really I just like the reliability and robust quality. I'm 110 kilo I ride about a 30 km round trip I use 60% battery few hills not many mostly in drive mode apart from hills and intersections I use sport so it does ok with my heavier frame.

How do you like the Apollo city? I've been looking at that as an upgrade from my ninebot as well

Time to throw my Eightbot out the window and upgrade to the Ninebot, that will get the ladies going.
Hi, Is there a difference between the segway g65 and the g65 max 2 ??
Hi bro nice video!
How come your’s does not the turn signala as well as the electric horn?
Hello, I have Max G30 I want to change the motor wheel to G65 is it suitable? Are they the same size ?
Do you know if i could possibly connect the segway speaker to it for the artificial engine noises?
Really not sure about that sorry.

I would want 12S battery instead of 10s and motor power to be at least 500w nominal power and 1000w max power. I kind of lack power when i go uphil.

And they went back to the old folding lock on the max2. weird.
Nice job mate. Any idea when a seat might be available for the G65?
Sorry mate i do not,
I live in Australia but for me it’s $1400 at jbhifi without any deals or sales or vouchers
Price has dropped by 200 since release i think
8:15 is that a hairline crack at the frame bottom near plastic cover?
No that seems to be a paint mix looking thing, like the plastic colours didn’t quite mix well, like gagalxy spiral? But there is no crack
So, what's the real top speed?
32
N max g30d vs Ninebot G65 max2 =?
I think Max2 would be better
Yeah I own a max 2 g65 now and rides better more room holds more weight it's definitely a upgrade
@@richarddavies7135 Interesting, can you tune it that easily? Because I heard that Segway is strongly opposed to tuning..?

Very great 👍
Are you going to do a ride review video?
Yes, on progress now :)
