I absolutely love the concept of slice of life following Seija troubling people around Gensokyo as a prankster and not a troublemaker. Irohasu's works are always pretty chill to watch.
I've watched this countless times over the years, and I love it just as much as I did when I first saw it. Just seeing Seija wander around Gensokyo, interacting with all of it's residents in a slice of life is beautiful. It makes me want to go on my own journey and see what the world has to offer

So in this video, Seija is regularly seen avoiding the "bigger fish" characters like Suika, Tenshi, Yukari, Marisa, and Miko by using items from her game. She uses: - The Nimble Fabric to avoid Marisa and Yukari's attacks at 0:08 and 1:50 - The Miracle Mallet Replica to clap Yukari's cheeks at 2:35 - The Substitute Jizo to avoid getting her cheeks clapped by Suika at 2:37 - The Tengu Camera to appeal to Miko's ego at 2:18 - The Four Foot Magic Bomb to blow up Tenshi at 2:12 - The Gap Folding Umbrella to teleport said bomb to Tenshi at 2:11 - The Bloodthirsty Yin-Yang Orb to teleport to Yukari before the later could respond at 2:33 That just leaves the Cursed Decoy Doll and Ghastly Send-Off Lantern that don't appear in the video. Presumably she would've used these against Sakuya, another "bigger fish" character, had Sakuya actually attacked her instead of joining in on her prank.
I should also note that most of the characters in this video are actually bosses in the game Seija's got all these items from (Impossible Spell Card). Seija is seen as an outlaw, so a bunch of characters decide that they can freely cheat when fighting her, which is where the titular "Impossible Spellcard" comes from. In return, Seija is cheating even harder by using powerful magic tools that she stole, allowing her to ape Yukari, Reimu, Mamizou, Shinmyoumaru and so on.
Oh Yukari absolutely responded to Seija TPing to her, just that instead of attacking or dodging she taunted her and promptly got hit 20 times harder than she expected
The animation, color tones, and character design are all *so* realistic. It's like something out of Summer Wars or Paranoia Agent. Normally Touhou is more anime-ish; this is surprisingly an excellent fit. For some reason it feels so nostalgic...

@@RandallVWZ-fg6bo i'd tempted to call it mixed media animation (even though by technicality as animation made in japan, it's sort of anime)-- 2:26 is definitely made using some kind of rotoscoping over 3d models, if not outright injecting seija into a harshly lit 3d environment, but at the same time i'm fully confident they made the 3d model themselves-- and that's saying nothing about how dynamic the camera is, and all it's easier to compare it to indie short film animations imo, both japanese and otherwise, because it has very much its own style

好きすぎて何回も見てしまう。清蘭から逃げてる時の正邪はめっちゃカッコいいし、最後のカットの正邪はすごく綺麗でした。あと美鈴に悪戯する(出来てないけど)瞬間の正邪が凄く可憐でドキッとしました。正邪以外の部分も語り尽くせないぐらい好きです。ホントに最高でした。
正邪とか紫苑みたいなキャラには、本当の幸せを味わってほしい。
