- I honestly can't say enough about this river and valley. Beautiful blue water, really nice rapids and set amongst some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I cannot wait to go back there!

Love the song, super chill! The blue water is because there's tiny bits of rock in the water (called glacial salt) which reflect light in funky ways. Absolute paradise!

There are also some Soča tributaries (mainly Tolminka and Učja rivers) that offer some insane whitewater and scenery, but are only runnable after havy rains usually in the months october/november.

God, I miss the Soca... We were supposed to go there on Easter, but then Corona happened.
Truly amazing video, awesome job man! I don't know if you (or anybody else) will see this comment, but what part of the Soca river is this? I'm going to the Soca at the end of April. And I'm looking for nice parts to paddle, but not too easy. We're paddlers with class III-IV experience, so I'm not sure if this part might be too hard for us.

it looks like the water levels are gonna be just fine :) we have rainy weather for some time now, and rain is still predicted until the end of this week :)
maybe try to adjust colour saturation between gopro and dslr footage so they get somewhat to the same ballpark? overall quite delicious though
Agreed mate, but a lot of times the DSLR shots where poretty blown out as it was so sunny in there, even though the gopro over saturates things a bit I wanted peeps to be able to see jus thow blue the water is there.

Super nice Edit again. But did u put a filter on it? It seems pretty grey and bleached out. I would prefer it without a filter, especially because the soca valley already gives us so amazing colors.
i wouldn't say they used a filter :)
Yeah cane here to say this. The color grading they used makes it look washed out and gray tones. Other wise great video loved it!
While the Soca is beautiful it is hard to film there, just so much sun and bright light. Did what I could but ultimately I need to go back and do some more filing with a heavier set iof ND filters on the cameras

@@Senders I'm from the US in the state of Washington i get on a little creek thats still probably 2 ft at the deepest point and practice whenever I can im completely self taught and have been told I have a pretty roll
