    Great looking mini lure Lindsay. Also looks like you have become a lot more comfortable with the whip finish tool!!

    A great combination of techniques materials and colours. A winner both for winter and as the water is still cold in the start of spring early season.

      I really like it might need to try something similar with the black.

    Lovely tie Lindsay! I'm going to give it a go. And not to worry about the children. I'm done with that.

    I always attach flies with marabou wings with a rapala or similar knot , this enhances the action of the marabou and I guarantee it will be more effective.

    Hi bud great tying as always , ive noticed over the past few months that most of the flys you tye weather it be a simple stocky bashing fly or a fine traditional wet or dry you always put your own take on it ,for example ,yousing a different fritz ,hackle , dubbing etc from what those flys are traditionally tied with and they always look great, a modern twist if you like , i would love to see some videos of well known flys with a modern take on it , if your keen ill start off with a well known rainbow trout fly ,hows about the nomad with a modern twist 🤷😎🎣

    • @lindsayiflyfish
      @lindsayiflyfish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like that idea Kyle, will give it some thought. I never really had much success on the nomad even when it was very popular back in the day. Could do with a re-dress 😉

    Nice simple fly, whats the thoughts on using red varnish on the head rather than using red silk ? easier or is there a magic in using the silk ?

    • @lindsayiflyfish
      @lindsayiflyfish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am sure red varnish would work just as well. I just don't have any.
