Belovedad This game has too many layers to it. Since it was not a clean game. Not dominating but great team play won the game. If it was simple we can just point where they won and how they snowballed. But it was not an easy win. Great team play won the game.
TL did very well, great Macro understanding, and this Breakdown is awesome , but "played perfectly" only AFTER a big BIG mistake by Impact and Xmithie, giving huge advantages to Sumday by an extra kill from a bad tp back from Impact... TL can't afford doing things like that at MSI
That's why I'm looking forward to them being at MSI. Hopefully the challenge of playing better teams will help them patch up some of those rougher points. Best way to get better is to play people better than you.
this series easily could have been a 100 t win if xmithie hadn't stolen Barron in game one, after that barron 100 T stared doubting themselves and played like tsm at worlds
But here's the fact: they had a reason to be worried. They had every opportunity to make sure the baron was secured. Better vision, better shot-calling, etc. the reason Xmithie got the chance to kill that baron even after messing up the blast cone and having to sej Q in was because his team had his back. They fought in the pit, distracted 100 from putting full damage on it, and kept Aphromoo from CCing Xmithie when he got into the pit. Just because 100 had the advantage does not mean they had the superior map and team fight opportunities. Did TL win that game because of a baron steal? Absolutely. Was it a lucky steal? Absolutely not. Could 100 have played that better and avoided it? Absolutely. Just because a win was a steal, does no mean it wasn't deserved on some level. They took advantage of a mistake and closed the game out immediately to avoid giving 100 a second chance. Some teams wouldn't be able to do that.
Xmithie didn't messed up that blast cone. The angle he hit on the blast plant was exactly to the portion of the wall where Sejuani dash could most easily go through the wall to be in smite range with a chance of stealing while also being fat enough so that the Alistar couldn't headbutt him back over the wall given the positioning of Aphromoo. This is the guy that kindred ulted the 5th dragon vs RNG taking it away from them lol. If there's any clutch baron steal players i bet him to be one of the best if not the best in the world along with peanut.
Why is Zirene still doing the breakdown if Jatt gave up his casting role this year just for the other mook casters to have more air time. He's the actual analyst now isn't he, he should be doing the analytical TH-cam breakdowns.
I feel like there is a bit of greedyness from 100 Thieves that enabled TL to do what they needed if you dont have the vision you mabye should try to play safer
it was more so he didnt play the lane right. Instead of shoving top he should've froze the lane and continued to deny impact CS and EXP. Instead he forced pressure with no tp pressure on the map. IF he had TP he could shove the lane, force Impact to go topside (with no TP) and force a TP play botside to steamroll the game.
Edit: it has been pointed out to me that only friendly units and we spectators can see the passive transfer, so I was wrong. on that first play where 100 Thieves got the double kill Xsmithie could have avoided it if he'd noticed the permafrost transferring from Sejuani to Gnar. Either that or he saw it and decided to go for it anyway, but that just doesn't seem like something he'd do.
4th place to 4th team to win the lcs championship, so its time to brake the curse and be the 3rd team to win the world championship which is non-Korean team?
TL played to the 100T misplays extremely well I think is the main point. 100T made a few risks and mistakes but because TL was so prepared they were able to take advantage of them.
come on though, 100T were set up to win, but they were not good enough to make it happen! I'm going to assume most NA teams can't take such an advantage top side into a win, that's why they don't pick or ban camille!
The NA finals was literally SKT vs. KT. KT(Team Liquid) win not because they are good, they actually made quite a lot of macro errors, but rather because the enemy team(SKT and 100T) is significantly worse at both a micro and macro level
idk if it's easy to fix, but there's an error near the end where you state that 100T hasn't completed their backs after taking drake, when you mean to refer to TL. otherwise, nice breakdown. would've loved to hear about what would've happened if Gnar had executed a freeze top lane
Not that impressive, mainly mistakes from 100 thieves... Why always focus on NA while there was beautiful drafts and games from Afreeca Freeks in Korea? A lot more to understand in my opinion
They told that they not going to do just teamfights this year, that's why they changed its name from "Teamfight Breakdown" to just "Breakdown". Look at the previous videos, there are videos about jungle pathing, teamfights, macro decisions and etc
Great analysis, but please stop referring to them as 100 T.... It just sounds weird and saying "Tee" literally takes just as much time as saying "Thieves", so you may as well just use their name....
I love the breakdown and im realy happy to see the show being back on. but after being gone for the whole split this shouldnt be what you go for. I understand why your making a video to please the na fans, seeing as its the na production team making these, but its still not the quality content I came to expect from this series. It should be an in deapth look into an intresting play or macro decition, teaching intresting ways how to play the game on a high level, not a mid length vod review
Not sure I agree with the lack of quality argument. The reason it's more of a VOD review is because of the macro play from Liquid taking what was a perfect setup for a snowball victory for 100 Thieves and turning it around to a win. This one in particular just seems a little underwhelming after the similar but far more smothering execution by KingZone showcased not too long ago imho
Love this kind of breakdown. So meticulous and analytical, makes the game much more interesting and worthwhile to learn
felt like a full game VOD review rather than the normal breakdowns.
Good. Zirene's upping the quality.
That was the point I think. Since there won't be any breakdowns for a while.
no because its not teamfight breakdown they changed it
That pun is out of this world
Rito is smooth like liquid.
that goofy looking gnar while hes ulted by sharner midtransformation to mini gnar xDD
They're still cursed. They were the fourth to win the championship. 4TH place team Liquid lives on.
Lamb Choppy its rather a blessing this time (aka doublelift
4th PLACE At MSI POGGERS
is it a curse to win?
4st
No nobody cares about that
GODAMN ZIRENE THAT WAS THE BEST GODAMN BREAKDOWN OF ALL FREAKING TIME
And they say its a simple game XD
Haha if only, right?
They're overthinking this
Who is they? I have not heard many people call it a simple game.
Belovedad This game has too many layers to it. Since it was not a clean game. Not dominating but great team play won the game. If it was simple we can just point where they won and how they snowballed. But it was not an easy win. Great team play won the game.
I disagree. Many people refer to this game as chess on steroids.
Macro dominance comin in from TL
Tsubasa Hanif I love teams what do that just like the KZ break down just how they played the map was amazing
really like this breakdown nice initiative
jhin's lucky number is 4.
tl is 4th team to win
curse is still real
omfg this thing was perfectly orchestrated, ty zirene
great breakdown as always, just goes to show how dangerous a 1-3-1 is if not done properly
The only reason they won was because Jhin. Don't ask me why... but the reasons definitely Jhin.
Ryan 013 you mean the fourth curse?
well he is all about the number 4
They are also the fourth seed in the playoffs
i was like jhin was nonfactor this game :D
4
The Breakdown is one of my favorite series to watch.
vision is knowledge, knowledge is power.
you'd be surprised how important can a ward be for the game.
pretty good breakdown, i think it's a good complement to C9 Reapered's VOD review of the whole series
This video is so great....it helps me understand macro even more...tnx
perfect breakdown
rooting for 100T since Day 1 but TL just played this series immaculately. WP TL!
Jhin broke the curse with his 4 bullets
love this videos
Great work, Zirene!
That video title is a 10 outta 10
legend says meteos is still waiting
Why do we need a breakdown when the only reason why they won was due to the fact that can only win when something has 4 in the number.
too bad its not the 4th world championship, i guess they can still finish 4th at worlds then.
more breakdowns please
Nice breakdown
Loved this ^^)
Should have been the peek over the wall to baron steal with Xsmithie & Olleh. That one play shook the whole series in favor of liquid.
This might be a dumb question, but does anyone know what the title of the music is in this video? I can't find it anywhere!
I'd like to see Zyrene make a breakdown video on how FNATIC won against G2esports. That would be great.

Inufan337 yeah, this may be one of the best NA roster ever to go against international teams... Very excited for MSI
Every time Zirine says 100T instead of 100 theives, the video gets 5%faster
yeeey, lets try this on solo Q where we dont control any moves from our teammates, that should work!
this series easily could have been a 100 t win if xmithie hadn't stolen Barron in game one, after that barron 100 T stared doubting themselves and played like tsm at worlds
Superficial Serpent lol castrated. I do agree though, I would have tilted off the face of the earth if i was focused that hard in ranked...
But here's the fact: they had a reason to be worried. They had every opportunity to make sure the baron was secured. Better vision, better shot-calling, etc. the reason Xmithie got the chance to kill that baron even after messing up the blast cone and having to sej Q in was because his team had his back. Don’t say that too loudly or the TL fans will come! They don’t want to believe it
Easily? Highly doubt it.
Xmithie didn't messed up that blast cone. from cursed to cursed, 4th place to 4th team to win the championship
I feel like there is a bit of greedyness from 100 Thieves that enabled TL to do what they needed if you dont have the vision you mabye should try to play safer
What if the curse became a blessing... cursed to always finish 4th place but blessed to be the 4th team to win...
Need more LPL and LSK!
they should totally go to game 4
100 Tea sounds fire
PLS BREAKDOWN FNC VS G2
these breakdowns always end up leading to vision control and warding which is why i have high regards for pro teams
All three games got vision controlled pretty heavily, metros got outplayed that's it.
so sumday lost the game by teleporting back to lane cuz he died by that first gank/dive...
Onet Vergil yes it the little things that matter... u probs hardstuck bronze
Yellowshadows u probs hardstuck silver
No u
Jeffrey ur bronze urself y u talking
it was more so he didnt play the lane right.

Mike Kim i don't think he saw is simce meteos was in the bush
We, spectators, can see the buff applying, but the enemy can’t see it when they don’t have vision of Sejuani
Nice try.
Stuart Ahhh that makes so much more sense
4th place to 4th team to win the lcs championship, so its time to brake the curse and be the 3rd team to win the world championship which is non-Korean team?
being first in NA has nothing to do with winning worlds, ask TSM...
So 100t threw more than TL outplay
2 recall on ward, dive fail and impatience
TL played to the 100T misplays extremely well I think is the main point. 100T made a few risks and mistakes but because TL was so prepared they were able to take advantage of them.
Ibrandom all comebacks start off from the other teams mistakes, it's about how well they can punish them
I feel like tl won not because they were really good but because 100 thieves was bad
next Episode: How Team Liquid got last in MSI....hehe
come on though, 100T were set up to win, but they were not good enough to make it happen!
I'm going to assume most NA teams can't take such an advantage top side into a win, that's why they don't pick or ban camille!
well TL now is "1st to worst in spring 2020"
wheres tsm
Nice video.. but you wanna see a better map play go watch FNC vs G2 Game 3 baron play.
We will see soon at MSI when NA will get rekt by EU
How about we all just watch LCK and cry because Western banter is insignificant in the face of Korea :/
Wait why is there a 10min video for this should just be a 30 second video of Steve's wallet opening and closing
This video was paid by Steve
tldr: Ssumday fcked up
Ryu might as well go back to kt with making 100T lose finals
And then back to cursed.
The NA finals was literally SKT vs. KT. KT(Team Liquid) win not because they are good, they actually made quite a lot of macro errors, but rather because the enemy team(SKT and 100T) is significantly worse at both a micro and macro level
Aw man I thought zirene was gonna make a meme about not banning Azir lul
They went 1st because they the team won by money only. the team is cursed until now but because he players were bought, ofc, they win.
DL POGGERS
They got Doublelift. End of video.
100 did really well to get this far but aside from Aphro and Ssumday, they don't have world class players. Sorry, but they just don't.
But theyre still 4th...
Okay so the reason is quite simple: money
I think Ryu is just washed up now...
Or as Bronze would say:
*BG this team too heavy report pls*
TSM not in finals and NA lcs finals have 0 tickets + worst place for finals xD
100 thieves missplayed everything , its so ez for TL to punish this big mistakes. Come on guys they cannt even use their summoners right .
idk if it's easy to fix, but there's an error near the end where you state that 100T hasn't completed their backs after taking drake, when you mean to refer to TL. otherwise, nice breakdown. would've loved to hear about what would've happened if Gnar had executed a freeze top lane
why does this analyze makes it felt like gnar's fault that they lost hm
LCS is such a clown fiesta. Instead of good plays the game mostly revolves around who makes the more bad ones. And i think it got worse this season.
one tp was all it took to lose the game..
Not a single trace of TSM in this one...What has the The Breakdown become??
Anton Andersen are you sure you're in the right year?
it was all wards
you know its gonna be a bad breakdown when its na
this is just like additional mathematics.I cant understand much even tho I listen a lot
How TL went fr cursed to 1st : Buy a super team
payed by Steve
Not that impressive, mainly mistakes from 100 thieves... Why always focus on NA while there was beautiful drafts and games from Afreeca Freeks in Korea? A lot more to understand in my opinion
Always focus? Trolling or did you just not watch the KingZone Breakdown?
TLDR Paid By Steve
how they broke the curse? Buy all stars.
LuigiG nope 4th team to win NA
The wrong team @ 8 minutes lul
Hope TL is getting cursed again...
They lost because top lane is the least important role in the game
Rocky Turtles not really gnar had such a huge lead but they threw
Had it been KZ with a top lane lead, the outcome would had been different.
Edwin Even if Khan is the top laner he can only do so much.
Hambo Fries Im talking about how KZ would play around Khan.
Do one on eulcs finals
so basicly speaking
ryu cost 100t the game
With the help of money ?
Judt sad to look at
meanwhile TSM rofl
100 thieves played so bad this series.
Codysun played so bad, he just stole cait but didnt know how to play her and meteos too no pressure jungle, no drake, nothing. Kappa
Charles Bonno he took dshield on cait against dl jhin and lost lane I think
Devoker ye cody is a nub he always need to be carried by moo and cant do the difference in teamfight
This videos used to explain team fights... Not the whole games? WTF?
cssghost because the turning points of the whole game was team fights? WTF?
And now turning point is one missplay?
They told that they not going to do just teamfights this year, that's why they changed its name from "Teamfight Breakdown" to just "Breakdown". Look at the previous videos, there are videos about jungle pathing, teamfights, macro decisions and etc
Paid by Steve
A question: DoubleLift still save flash for next World?
Casey ???
Casey old meme that went stale like half a year ago. Next please ResidentSleeper
ryu is just so weak, years of playing on the garbage NA teams has taken its toll on him
Great analysis, but please stop referring to them as 100 T.... It just sounds weird and saying "Tee" literally takes just as much time as saying "Thieves", so you may as well just use their name....
Anthony Sansone it's not specifically toward their team, he refers to team liquid as TL numerous times as well in the video
I love the breakdown and im realy happy to see the show being back on. but after being gone for the whole split this shouldnt be what you go for. Benjic It was a great video. Get a life
was a good video, but i dont find it great or on par with what this series usally provides
Not sure I agree with the lack of quality argument. The reason it's more of a VOD review is because of the macro play from Liquid taking what was a perfect setup for a snowball victory for 100 Thieves and turning it around to a win.
